OniiAi – 03: The sexual joke rate has reclaimed its former glory after the last episode.

75% of what Anastasia has been saying surely has to be nothing but a prank. Her, a comedian? Yeah, right. It’s hard to tell because she does it all with a straight face. For a girl who’s always calling someone perverted, she’s quite the pervert herself but she’s second place to Arashi for going commando.

    • Foshizzel says:

Ana rocks! She is slowly becoming my 2nd favorite, but I want to learn more about the redhead <3

Oooooh yes! Anastasia likes to troll hardcore, but yeah I don't picture her as a comedian even though she has some great one liners that ALWAYS cause me to bust out laughing...

      I need more!

      • BlackBriar says:

Ana particularly got a lot of development this episode and she’s pretty straightforward. I’m hoping Arashi gets as much later. She needs it and I want it that way since she’s surely becoming a favorite. It was hilarious when she put Akiko’s hand on her bust and Akiko overreacts. I guess it was too much for Akiko to handle after the shock of hearing Ana ask to be her brother’s girlfriend.

        • Foshizzel says:

Yeah I hope the other girls get their time to shine as well because all of them have something interesting about them! Just like the cast of Sakurasou, but I am looking forward to the redhead of course <3

Akiko's screams were SO GOOOD! I couldn't stop laughing because Ana and Akito were chatting away while his sister was screaming lolol xD

      • skylion says:

Youtube: Steven Wright. Ana is a natural.

  2. Rakkyo says:

Sakurasou eps 1 and 2 pulled me in with its comedy and character interactions then ep 3 Touma’d me in the face. That little conversation Shiina and Sorata had in the hotel hit a bit too close to home XD.

I wasn’t planning on picking this one up at all due to the “supposedly” boring premise but so far it has completely exceeded my expectations on all counts. Will be looking forward to where they’ll be taking this.

  3. BlackBriar says:

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo – 03: This episode was more in the direction of emotional drama than humor and fanservice and it felt like it was towards the end of the series even though it wasn’t. That was an epic troll. What I like mostly is the intereaction between the four characters Sorata, Shiina, Misaki and Jin along with Aoyama ongoing attempts to confess to Sorata.

Shiina’s pretty moe. I don’t know if this sounds right but her extreme lack of common sense and living ability makes her look more adorable.

The language is pardoned. Jin is awesome. “If I see her depressed, I’ll want to fuck her silly”. Anyone who can say that but in a strangely loving way about the girl he likes is a boss. He also presents himself as a older sibling persona around Sorata with his pep talks.

  4. Highway says:

OniAi: I liked that this episode cut back on the amount of focus it spread around, and really focused on Ana. The “hole” joke was a little better this time, and her sheen of helplessness was funny in that you didn’t know where it really ended (like she obviously could get through the door, but could she have put her clothes away? Or at least the stuffed animals? And why was she so embarrassed about the stuffed animals anyway? Hell, *I* have stuffed animals).

The absolute best part of this episode was Akiko losing it when Ana asked Akito if she could be his girlfriend. I thought that was just excellent voice acting, especially considering Kido Ibuki is a rookie 14-year old. And they way they kept her just barely on the edge of the frame was great, too.

Overall, a much better episode than the 2nd, and hopefully it’s showing promise for the future. I fear, tho, that this was the two interesting girls, and focusing on Ginbei or Arashi will be a letdown. But maybe each of them have more depth, like Ana turned out to have.

(and I apologize for not reading the post yet, but comments are SFW, the post isn’t 🙂 )

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah third episode is a vast improvement over the 2nd episode and the hole joke! I swear Ana is the greatest troll ever even bigger than Yuuko from Nichijou? I feel you on the whole I can’t open doors, clean my room and embarrassed about her stuffed animals? LOLOL Agreed even I have some in my room >.>

OH GOD! I died laughing hearing Akiko’s screams in the background while Ana teased Akito about being his girlfriend? Yeah sooooo goooood! That also shows the actress playing Akiko has a bright future as a comical girl.

Yep! This was a great episode <3

      No worries~

  5. BlackBriar says:

To Love-Ru Darkness – 03: Uhhh, those cloudy censors are a pain in the ass. Forgive the language but it’s frustrating to the point that it kills half the mood of watching the anime.

The girls are fiercely shameless in every possible way and they have no qualms about showing it. It’s tough to decide who outdoes the other: Momo or Mea. Each have sunk to a new low in their tactics.

Sadly, Rito is another in a long line of dense male lead who can’t take a hint that a cute girl is coming onto him. I hope he realizes it soon. Maybe it’s just me but it looks like he’s cursed when it comes to losing balance and falling. Whether it’s falling in the bath tub with Mea or in his room with Yui.

As for the renowned harem plan Momo is always bringing up, let’s see if Rito’s building harem can stand alone against Ayumu Aikawa or Touma Kamijou’s intimidating harem.

    • Highway says:

There was a list posted on Crunchyroll a week ago, basically from a BiGlobe poll about what series have you dropped this season after the first episode. Trouble-Darkness was number one, and I would guess that at least 80% of the people who dropped it probably did because of the censoring. It’s not like you didn’t know what the show was going to be about, or what the characters were like. Even if, like me, you never watched TLR or Motto or anything else, you probably saw the OVA, and said “Oh my!” And then the series is just like that… except starring Sunbeam-chan and Shadow-kun.

Rito’s a typical lead. That’s why I think the show’s probably going the right direction making Momo be the main character and main plot driver and Mea (even if I don’t like her) be the main antagonist. It’s a lot easier to deal with Rito’s doofusness if he’s not the one in the very center of the show.

      • Highway says:

Oh, related to that list: Girls und Panzer was second from the bottom in shows dropped. I say that’s because it’s awesome. And I’ve got a comment on the First Impressions page for GuP that Spammy got hold of. 🙁

        • Foshizzel says:

Girlz und Panzer is fun! I think some people wanted a random moe moments with fanservice shots wrapped around a crazy action series…which is what GuP is not like at all! I know in my original post I said it was going to be a bit like Upotte and Strike Witches? I am still watching it and I see less and less of those two right now, but for me I found certain characters entertaining to keep me watching ever week.

GuP could be a possible guilty pleasure series because it really isn’t mind blowing or amazing at all, but whatever I find it to be a relaxing and funny series so far <3

          • Highway says:

No, I meant that Girls und Panzer is the 2nd LEAST likely to have been dropped on that list. If TLR is #1, GuP is #37.

            • Foshizzel says:

Ooooooooh! Gotcha! Yeah no worries there I still think most anime fans would easily pass on both shows because they don’t look impressive and the stories are dull or boring to them.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah To Love-Ru Darkness and the over use of censorship is very annoying to the fans of the manga and OVA and I have to agree it takes the fun out of it, but like Highway says that is easily why people have dropped it! I haven’t due to blogging of course and in this case I prefer the manga anyway; however it doesn’t update weekly and it goes for a month by month system.

Momo and Mea are great characters! I love how crazy Momo gets whenever she is trying to hook Rito up and Mea has her own set of issues later on with Nana! Hopefully we get to see that eventually.

Rito is indeed dumb and dense when it comes to the feelings of everyone but Lala and Haruna because those two are the “main” love intrests of the first 2 1/2 seasons and now with Momo, Nana and Mea it sends everything into chaos for Rito! Sure he is stupid and doesn’t take full advantage of his situation, but to me Darkness is less about Rito and more about Lala’s sisters and Yami/Mea’s story.

LOL YES! Rito has quite the harem stacked up against the likes of Ayumu and Touma…I should do a headcount and see what series has more girls after the main character? Fufufufu

      • BlackBriar says:

Because it’s nothing but discouraging when you compare the anime to the manga pages that were shown and how bare the OVA was. If I wasn’t new to the series and so patient, I would’ve dropped it myself. It’s unbearable when you have to wait for a good manga to be updated.

I look forward to seeing more of Momo and Mea’s underhanded tactics around Rito.

Speaking of Rito and mangas, I recently read a manga: In Bura! The lead male is similar to Rito not only in looks but personality and the lead girl looks like what I believe is a blonde haired Lala. As if another version of To LOVE-Ru. There are 5 chapters out right now which are total fun and people should check out. As for the story, I leave that to those interested to find out themselves. I won’t spoil it for anyone but I will say there is a trap character in it.

        • Foshizzel says:

Ahahah yeah! That is why I do the comparison shots from the manga and anime just to show everyone what they are missing, but I kind of already knew Darkness would suffer a lot from the censorship anyway because damn…the artist is quite skilled LOL

ALWAYS! Momo and Mea are tricky girls <3

Ahhh! Yes Rito clones are in every other anime series lately, but yeah I have to give that a shot thanks for sharing xD

          • Highway says:

I do think it’s interesting that also in this post, we almost have the antithesis of Rito in Akito. He knows what’s going on, he knows they’re after him, and while he’s nice to the girls, he doesn’t fall for their schemes, he doesn’t get embarrassed at their forwardness. Even when Ana puts his hand on her breast, he doesn’t do anything dumb, just reacts with shock.

Maybe more characters like Akito will catch on.

            • Foshizzel says:

Yeah in many ways they act the same playing the nice guy towards the girls without really having any “feels” about any of them right now! I know Rito has his heart and soul set on Haruna or Lala in the overall story, but Momo and the others will continue to try their best of course and who knows how things really play out anyway…

YEP! These two guys need to join forces hahaha

            • BlackBriar says:

That’s almost like Rosario + Vampire’s Tsukune. He’s aware the other girls have a thing for him but he shoots down their advances while trying to be polite so as to not offend them. He likes them but as simple, everyday friends because he only has eyes for Moka Akashiya.

          • BlackBriar says:

Sadly, the comparisons would make the viewer feel even more robbed of the privilidges to see everything in the anime version. The studio should have just made it simple and let the anime be uncensored just like Seikon no Qwaser, High School DxD, Hagure Yuusha no Estetica and Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai.

I wonder if those two will reach Kanade Suzutsuki’s level of deceit and underhandedness. Though it’s not likely but it’s still wishful thinking.

No problem!!! That manga has now become one of my favorites to read. Now I anxiously wait for that and many others to be updated. There are Rito clones in other animes lately? Hmm… I never noticed such a thing.

            • Foshizzel says:

AGREED! They should have given the rights to a studio that has dealt with uncensored anime and played it late at night..

OOoooh Good question! I think Momo holds the crown right now as the next Kanade Suzutsuki in terms of “screwing” with your mind xD

Nice ill read it soon! Yeah there are a few “clones” that even LOOK like him I mean take the main from Sakurasou? They could pass as twins almost hahah

  6. Highway says:

Sakurasou: Sakurasou and Chuunibyou keep alternating for me for best show this season. Basically it’s whatever I watched last. But this ep of Sakurasou might push it into the lead for good.

I said last week that the show just has that “something”. I still don’t know what it is, but it hit me hard this week. Usually I watch anime leaning back in my chair, feet up, turned sideways. Halfway through this episode, I realized I was squared up, literally just the front part of the chair, watching. Shiina’s directness, with that just stunning insight, is like a tank round to the face for Sorata. We’ll see if he ever gets it, tho. What, he’s professed three times that he understands now, and is going to change, and we still end up in places that he needs to apologize and say he gets it *now*?

And how tragic are Misaki and Jin? They both love the other more than they can bear, but neither can figure out a way to approach the other that can work, so they don’t try.

And while Sorata thinks that everyone around him is so talented, I wonder how much of the struggles they are having actually registers with him. You’d think he gets it with Shiina, but I don’t think he does, that she’s frustrated and struggling trying to transfer her talent into her manga. And Sorata seemed to completely miss it with Jin, that line about “They want to see [Misaki] work with a good script.” As successful as his works have been, he seems to have so much doubt about them: Were they successful only because of Misaki’s talent? Is he holding her back?

I really hope this show continues. I wonder how they’re going to fill up 2 cours. It seems to be moving so fast so far.

There’s a new anime that recently started and I think you guys at Metanorn will see it as a worthy candidate for MetaFap: Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de. I saw the first episode and it’s not half bad. Also, in genre, it’s a parody.

    • Foshizzel says:

I saw that first episode! Sadly that is an OVA series and the next episode isn’t listed for another month or so! I don’t know why, but either way it was hilarious! I spend most my time looking for the game shout-outs and saw Link, Mario, Sonic, random Tetris piece, Yoshi and probably a few others I never heard of xD

Yeah it would fit the metafap really well! I just wish it was an actual series…

      Jrow said this on G+

It’ll be a 3 episode OVA series. The next ep is supposed to air in Spring ’13

OniAi: Best girl in the spotlight? Yes please.
An Ana-centric episode pleases me greatly. Plus Akiko with her whimpering(Mumumu), silly giggles(guhehehe) and that scream(AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!). Still can’t believe Akiko’s seiyuu is a newbie, and a 14 year old at that. Nothing like starting a career than casting in a role about lusting for your brother’s purity.

Sakurasou: Drama already in the third episode? It’s pretty well done actually with a great balance of comedy too.
This could still go either way but I’m still optimistic with this. They’ve laid out the necessary things, the followup is what’s important and I’m eager to see where it goes.
JC Staff, despite being ridiculed by most, is really on a roll with all 3 of their shows this season. Great job.

TLR:D – Beam-chan and Shadow-kun still plaguing the show, sigh. It’s still doing pretty well in adapting the manga.
Plus it’s the best girl Kotegawa. Nothing says sexy than a girl wearing a large(doesn’t seem small to me) white button-up shirt. And wearing it right after a bath. Hot.
Things should be interesting next episode with that talk of Mea and her master.

    • Highway says:

I thought it was funny that the Akito in Akiko’s daydream also went *gu-he-he*.

    • Foshizzel says:

Guhehehehe is the best laugh of all time <3 and Akiko is awesome so far I love her voice work...wait...shes 14?! Ahahahah that is crazy and her first role is incest based? WOW...her parents must be so proud T_____T

TLR:D - DAMN YOU SHADOW-Kun! I hate you so much -shakefist- yeah the are following some of the great ecchi chapters right now and soon they are headed into some intense things! LOL yeah Yui in that shirt...wow...

Yes! Mea and Yami next week <3

      • BlackBriar says:

A rookie’s first role is in an incest based anime. 14 years old, no less. Now I’ve seen everything.

Fosh, how could you? Best laugh of all time? What about Kobato Hasegawa’s “Ku ku ku”? I say it’s a deadlock between the two.

        • Foshizzel says:

Ahahah yeah good point! Both have great laughs and we might as well throw in Shinobu from Bakamono and Nisemono with her ka ka laugh LOL
