Sushi // My mind has checked out from the story. I take in all the mythological babble to fuel my enjoyment of the episode. It’s the only reason I tune in week in and week out. Campione! has succeeded in creating an addicting premise buoyed by references to old lore. But the story that frames its core ideas is hollow, to say the least. Godou and Erica are uninteresting leads that lack chemistry. They kissed a few dozen times over the course of the series, and all I can do is roll my eyes. You can’t feel the magnetism between the pair when they’re in sync with one another. The dynamic deflates scenes that are otherwise supposed to bolster their relationship.

Sadly the action scenes, a highlight in previous outings, have taken a turn for the wordy. The final battle between Godou and Athena felt like a college lecture of Ancient Literature. I don’t really mind the use of dialogue to ground the action, but his little speech brought the episode to a complete halt. Campione! needs to step its game up by focusing in on the characters and fleshing them out a bit more. It would remedy nearly half the things that are wrong with this show.

Jrow // Does Ilia look better with her massive jugs or her smaller pair?

This episode is the same as the previous 3 eps. The only “plot” gained from this episode was that Ilia’s tits are not the massive funbags we thought they were. It’s the biggest reveal in the episode, even moreso than Ryosuke’s sparkling kingdom or that junk about Graham. And when the other half of the sword forms completely, it will be all kinds of metaphoric phallus.
The breasts are nice, it’s the blush that’s bringing power to the kingdom
While the episode as a whole is a bore and the series needs to start doing some different things, at least I can count on it to have a fun moment or two. Lisara getting up close to the kingdom was funny in addition to Ryosuke’s brief screaming as though he was unleashing a penis kamehameha, which is probably his ultimate power by the end of the series. For the girl’s locker room scene, I could’ve went for some more fanservicing. But honestly, I want to see more of Quele, or does she really not have nipples as the ending seems to indicate? Please, show them to me.

Fosh // Another week of these damn ecchi shows or are you not really watching them? Anyway they usually end up as mindless entertainment…so this week with Hagure we pick up with Akatsuki summoning his OMG-THIS-PLOT-IS-HUGE-SWORD which he used to defeat the giant cockatrice by stabbing it to death! I wonder if it tastes like chicken if you eat it; however I wouldn’t recommend such things unless you like eating stone? I seriously can’t imagine eating anything that was petrified. So with the monster defeated Akatsuki saved the day right? Not so fast there Mr. Main character-kun you still have to defeat the true mastermind behind that crazy stunt or Tanaka for short. That guy also wanted to destroy the school and apparently he doesn’t like the main character at all? DAMN DUDE HE WAS BEING NICE TO YOU LAST TIME! What a jerk.
Some great character “development” right there
Before the evil student can attempt to destroy the school the student council magically arrived on the scene to turn Tanaka into a huma sized Popsicle. Oh and what episode of Hagure would be complete without fan service?! And it seems Miu’s boobs got even bigger or as we call it here on Metanorn “Important plot development yo!” Oh right I forgot there was another new character introduced Motoharu Kaito voiced by Atsushi Abe aka Touma from Index so we can finally have a Touma x Accelerator rematch! Next week the fanservice is cranked to full blast as we go on a shopping adventure with Miu and her friends so you can expect to find lots of topless shots in episode five.

Karakuri // If Shougo was that good at raising flags like that at childhood, no wonder he’s raising them like a goddamn pro now. Seriously. His harem members don’t beat the crap out of him (er, most of them), there’s minimal jealousy between them, some of them actually tag team for him, and there’s nothing like supernatural battles or anything to distract them from the fact that they’re all going for the same person. This guy has some of the greatest harem handling skills I’ve seen in a long time. …Either that or he just has extreme luck in that department. Then again, that could all change once the harem expands.
Hmm, what can I say about this week? It was all just drama, drama and more drama. Not that I’m saying that a more serious route is a bad thing, but the events of this week felt like they came on really fast. On the plus side, all of the girls now have an equal chance at being the OTP and there’s no longer really any danger if Shougo started dating any of them. Or there is still a bit of danger, but the range of who she could be is a lot wider now. …That being said though, they definitely abused the hell out of the memory loss plot point. Having both girls as childhood friends is just a tiiiiiiiiny bit too convenient. The plot about the little sister seems to be done as well, so I guess the whole title of “Who is Imouto?” doesn’t really have a point to it anymore. I don’t see the plot really going anywhere from here since the main issue is solved, but as long as they make episodes like 3, I’ll be satisfied.

Campione: Still watching because Erica is awesome to look at. You mean there was action? J/K, I actually liked the battle of words, using actualization of speech to work for him. And Athena was cute in her nekomimi hat. I liked that Goudo used some different moves to fight her, including the “Here, hold this while I run you through” move.
Hagure Yuusha: The more I see it, the more it feels like some 90’s anime. The really really terrible video this week didn’t help. And can’t anyone just meet someone else without having a size-measuring contest?

Who is Imouto?: I’m really confused about where they’re going to go from here. I mean, if I was the MC, this show just got a lot easier: Pick between Konoe and Miyabi. They both love you, you like both of them, they both claim they’re just childhood friends. Tada! Show’s over at episode 5. They’ve barely even introduced the other girls of note, much less made them relevant as love interests. Maybe it’ll go in a good direction, which would be good, of course. But what I fear is a complete track switch, where we abandon these characters and focus solely on the others (notable examples of this: Mashiroiro Symphony and Fortune Arterial).
Boku H: Obviously I’m seeing something in this show that nobody else is. The only part I thought was too long was Ilya trying to get Pervsuke to break his contract with Lisara and make one with her. Otherwise, I thought it was fun, and *now* I see how Quele is gonna be a harem member. So I was wrong about it being a one-girl track, but it sure seems like Lisara and Ryousuke are OTP anyway.

Boku H is the show that secretly everyone watches but nobody says that they do because it’s a guilty pleasure. Harem or not, it’s a show that’s pretty obviously situated in the fan-service department.

Who is Imouto? Episode – 04
I kinda feel we were cheated, somehow. The whole “voice-changer phone arc” was resolved in just one episode by revealing that Konoe and Miyabi were the MC’s forgotten childhood friends. Granted, that’s a way to make the other love interests seem viable, but I really felt let down. XD

Finally saw Dakara this week! OH MY GOD! That series is so freaking hilarious! SERIOUSLY why does it make me laugh so much?! I dunno why but damn I love it <3
Also the blonde is voiced by Miyuki off Smile Precure and that fact makes me laugh sooooo much and Nao from Smile voices a green haired girl in Yuusha! Not the HanaKana character.

Campione! – 04: This was designed to just kick back and watch. Arianna is awesome but I don’t want her driving me anywhere. The car became such a horrible mess so I want to live!! When the series finishes its run, I think it’ll be remembered most for the epic kissing from Erica. The hero suddenly sparing a dangerous enemy just when he can easily finish them off after a fierce battle of life and death. How many times have I seen that happen? Athena was hot returning to her original form but it would have been much better if her voice matured to suit her looks. Her loli voice just doesn’t cut it for someone who has so much beauty.
Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai – 04: It wouldn’t surprise me if Hiro Shimono gets type casted for these well executed and perverted roles, especially since he plays a masochist pervert in the recent episode of Binbougami ga! We need a contest. Ryousuke vs. Issei Hyoudo. Who will win? So far, the story is slipping and needs to pick up. I think Ilia looks good either way. She manages to make both big and small breats work out. A girl can look good in her own way just like Lisara looks great with a small bust.
Hagure Yuusha no Estetica – 04: Akatsuki is turning out to be pretty tolerable the more the story progresses. But he’s strange. For someone who is supposed to be the hero, the sword he draws looks like it’s running on dark power. Tanaka is an ungrateful bastard attacking the one who defended him. The class rep was being a hypocrite. She’s diligent on school rules, especially where accessories are involved but here she is walking around with a key chain. I’m surprised Miu didn’t make any attempts to avenge her father. I mean, she’s living with her father’s killer without so much as a fuss.

I personally think Ryousuke’s a better character than Issei so far. He’s got a sincerity that Issei just doesn’t necessarily have. But they’re definitely put in different situations. Issei is continually put in situations where his stated goal to become a Harem King could be advanced and he specifically rejects it based on various reasons (he can’t bring himself to take Rias’ virginity, Asia is a nun even if she’s a demon and he doesn’t want to ruin her purity, Akeno is just plain scary and it would make Rias mad, he thinks Koneko would beat the crap out of him (this is more later in the LN’s)), and as such he becomes a harem king both unintentionally and frustratingly.
Meanwhile, Ryousuke is less motivated to actually get girls. He’s more content to look at, think about, and admire the girls around him. And that sincerity really comes into play when the girls around him realize it: Mina has been totally smitten for years, Quele is starting to get it, and Lisara as well. But I can see Ryousuke actually picking a girl and settling in on that path… of course while still admiring the other girls, which is something that whichever girl he goes for will need to understand and accept.

In all seriousness, I lol’d at the bathroom scene in Hagure. The reasoning for Akatsuki being up on the wall was just that absurd.
BTW, yeah…not keeping up with anything else on MetaFap other than Who is Imouto. Oh wait. I haven’t watched Ep 4 yet. I think I just spoiled myself…
