We have a few words to say.

Two years ago an aniblogger thought it would be interesting to pit 96 popular blogs against each other and see the results. This caused lots of dorama and skepticism in the anisphere and some even swear till now that it was mentally scarring. However, such competitions always have two sides to them and if there was dorama, there was also good traffic for many new and old aniblogs. In our case, we got a first round adios unawares as I found out after our polls closed. OTL moment right there but I had just joined Metanorn and kanzie was on hiatus, there was no plug for ‘Hey, Vote for us!’ However, two years down the line, things are plenty different. It was a team decision to participate in the second Ani-Tourney, which is now more organized with increased staff, four brackets and 168 total blogs. We are in the |

Thank you! The first thing that came to my mind when the dates were announced was the field of UBW. I just couldn’t shake that thought and being a TypeMoon fangirl, it was my duty to use it to our full advantage. :3

I’m quite surprised that Metanorn is seeded so low. For crying out loud Ani-nouto is seeded into 2nd round. But there’s nothing to it but to fight it out.

Yeah, the seeding of Metanorn so low was odd, but I believe there was a reason for it… I think it had to do with the results of last year’s tournament.

Just curious, as I’m always interested in finding new anime blogs that are fun to read/follow, what blogs do you guys follow?
I tried sampling the top seeded blogs in that list in the pic (I tried the author’s site as well, it’s all one big pic,so I had to memorize the web address and type it out TOO MUCH EFFORT (ﾉ `Д´)ﾉ ~┻━┻ ), and they’re either blogs I’ve decided not to follow, blogs that I follow, and a couple that just didn’t pique my interest.
I usually find new blogs from when I hear other people mention them, or just randomly open blog links in other blogs and do a quick drive-through. Though the last few times I tried the latter it didn’t yield any good results.
Since I’m asking, I figure I should share first – currently follow on a regular basis:

We plan to do segments on new emerging blogs so hopefully, you’ll learn something from those. Best way to follow blogs from brackets is to check their links from dates section.
When I joined Metanorn, I was only following RC. Now a lot of other aniblogs have entered into my list (some are even part of our blogroll). From the top of my head, RC, THAT, Sekijitsu, Seaslugs, Altair & Vega, Gar Gar and some more. It all depends on time because I always make a point to comments back on the bloggers who comment on Metanorn as well.
Also, we won’t judge you on Sankaku, they do have some interesting pieces sometimes. :3

I’m a class A lurker, but I would recommend The Cart Driver, Sekijitsu, Sea Slugs, Unmei Kaihen, and Altair and Vega. I secretly frequent those blogs = v = I’m slowly finding new blogs through the tourney just by luck too, so this list is increasing! Hopefully we’ve helped you find some good stuff. Reading other blog posts always fires me up~

One of my favorite episodic blogs is Tenka Seiha, a blog run by Aroduc, who does translation work for doujin games and such. He pretty much hates anything and everything mostly for pretty poor reasons, but he writes them up in a way that’s fun to read.
I’ve mentioned it in a post before, but I consider Chaos Tangent to have the best writing in any anime blog I’ve ever read. John Noel, the writer, is a master of prose. Unfortunately, it doesn’t update very often.
