Working’!! – 12

That’s all I need to know

Wooooooo! Another week of the best half hour ever, part of me really wishes each episode could longer…I need a good hour of Yamada doing random stuff every week or a give me a freaking Working!! Movie… Ah well I will keep on dreaming, how about this episode Hime? Was it the best ever?

I don’t know about the best ever XD but it was certianly better than the previous few episodes. It was cute! Damn cute, in fact. I always love me some TakanashixInami. It’s kind of a shame that this is the second last episode, but like I said last week…I’m pretty sure Working has run its course.

Inami has broken her record for consecutive days of not punching Takanashi. Sacre blu! This news is so shocking that Taneshima and Yamada even think she’s sick. Takanashi notices, too, and suggests they start texting each other…he suggests it, but spends over 2 hours waiting to hear from her. It seems they are as technologically challenged as Yachiyo. Okay, well not quite.

 

Takanashi should have known better than to watch porn without locking the door

Inami finally texts (a picture of a kitten) and makes Takanashi grin like a total goof. Later on, as he’s walking down the street, Kirio falls from the sky and lands in front of him! Kirio of course figures out what Takanashi can’t in a few seconds; Inami wants to hit that harder than a vending machine that steals your cash. But, Takanashi is clueless.

In other news, Yamada gets locked out of the restaurant after hours, but luckily Satou realizes and comes back for her. He takes her to stay at Taneshima’s for the night. The next day Yamada and crew try again to break new ground with Inami’s phobia. Unfortunately this results in Inami nearly punching the living shit out of Souma. He lives though, …just. Later on, Inami is telling Takanashi about what happened and he’s surprisingly positive about it. Who knew, he does have some tact buried under that perverted obsession with cute things.

END THOUGHTS

Awesome just awesome! I had a lot of fun watching this episode, especially that starting part with Popular and Yamada listening to Inami’s new problem. Those three together are amazing just based on their funny eXpressions! Well mostly Yamada because she has the best faces am I right? So Inami hasn’t punched any guys in a while SO WHAT! THAT IS PROGRESS! Hooray! But I guess that is her thing…it would be strange for her to lose that now. Speaking of Inami anyone notice her cute leek hairclips? Maybe she is a vocaloid fan.

Souma sure did dodge that bullet didn’t he? I would have died laughing if Yamada dragged him in kicking and screaming. And then Yamada had that bright idea of dressing up Kyouko as a guy? That would look interesting but also very dangerous, so they went with the next best thing! Having Inami dress up as a guy instead since she is really flat err I mean Slender, sure thing Yamada you are the brains behind this odd ball operation. I thought it was funny when Yamada magically found that guys shirt. Everyone watching probably thought the same thing at that point, like Yamada FREAKING STOLE THAT SHIRT! Of course Takanashi found out and got to mess with Yamada’s hair for some revenge.

And now the biggest development! Imani and Takanashi trading info so they can text each other, so much d’awwww in that scene thanks to some cute reactions from Inami. I guess girls really love getting text messages huh? I think it is great getting messages from anyone! I know it makes me smile. I liked watching Takanashi’s sisters react to him using his phone waiting on a message. And leave it to Inami to send pictures of cute kittens doing cute things, I bet Takanashi would fall in love with K-ON! Then again he is a bit like me. And now a tribute to Daisy! Poor flying teddy bear we knew you well…at least Yamada can patch Daisy up right? Rest in peace you plush bear.

This was more like it; lots of character development and funny gags thrown in. This episode was also pretty packed with characters, with Kirio reappearing to infuriate Takanashi, and his sisters there to worry about his female-relations, there was a lot of hilarious moments to count. Satou and Yamada’s exchange when she was locked outside was hysterical, and not to mention really sweet. Yachiyo, you are missing out! Satou is the nicest guy you are ever likely to meet! (even if he does tease everyone).

My guilty pleasure appeared again, in the form of a rose-framed, sparkly imagining; Kotori-Chan needed so much more love this season! I’d be lying though if I said I’ve enjoyed Takanashi and Inami’s relationship this season. There just hasn’t been enough progress. Still, this episode was amazingly cute. The text message exchange was hilarious, with the animation being what really made it work. The little “anxious” text while Takanashi was waiting to hear from Inami for some reason had be in stitches.

All in all I really enjoyed this episode, I can’t say what the next and final episode will be like, it didn’t look that startling or relevant from the preview – it doesn’t seem to be a Christmas episode, but hopefully it will tie off this second season of Working nicely.
