Well, you have tried to kill him several times now…
So after Hinata approached Haruka at the end of the last episode you’d think he had some business with her. Nope. In fact, he outright says so. “What do you want from me?” “Nothing.” Hurr, whut? Oh, well. I shouldn’t complain. It is my sexy sexy Jun Fukuyama, after all. Taito’s little sister catches him reading black magic books, but naturally doesn’t find this as disturbing as she should. Meanwhile, the school has been de-tenticlified, and Taito has gone to Gekkou for tutoring. Of course Gekkou bullies him, invoking Himea’s wrath. Taito meets a girl called Aomi in the girls bathroom who asks him to get her into the Student Council.
Haruka is torturing Taito with her super-massive-awesome lunch as the classroom watches. They all cheer when he takes a bite, but then Himea appears to ask Taito on a date, cooling off the happy atmosphere. Someone with a sexy voice (not as sexy as Jun’s, though) appears at the school, only to be discovered making out with a door by Aomi. He introduces himself as Cross Philier Yuuichi, cause it’s “who can come up with the most complicated name day”, apparently. Lets just call him Yuuichi. Yuuichi is the half blood who will be their new English teacher, he’s also self appointed adviser to the Student Council.

Anyway, Taito rejects Himea’s offer to go on a date, which naturally upsets her. Gekkou goes to investigate a trap set in the city…which thoroughly pisses him off. Until a horde of demon students attack them, then he doesn’t really have time to be pissed off. It’s time for the ass kicking to begin! It would be nice if we got to see it, but sadly not…they meet Taito anyway and let him know that he made Himea cry.

She’s being creepy when he bursts into the classroom to set her straight (AGAIN!). I’m getting really sick of how insecure she is…get a backbone girl! You’re a freaking vampire! So over the end credits we get to see Himea and Taito’s date, which consists of them drawing penises on the blackboards and dodging security in the school at night. How romantic. Oh, and they go to the movies, too, probably to see Birth of the Overfiend in 3D.

Mirai was actually reasonably cute in this episode. I know, right? It’s the first time I haven’t wanted to put her little kitten face into a blender and hit purée. I’d say that’s an acomplishment. This episode, while a rather jarring de-rail back into comedy from the past few episodes, was quite well paced and fun. I like the way things jump from character to character this time round. It kept things entertaining and even if I don’t particuarly care about some of them (*cough* Haruka *cough*) their scenes didn’t last long enough to irritate or bore me.
It was actually really sweet of Haruka’s class to root for her so much in her pursuit of Taito’s heart. They seem pretty frosty towards Himea for some reason; maybe they are put off by her disco-hair? Omg, Gekkou was absolutely adorable. Or should I say it’s his tsundere’ness that’s cute. Fufufuf~ That was another reason I liked Mirai in this episode, cause she kept pwning him and making him go in a huff. D’aww.
Yuuichi is interesting (or should I just say weird?) someone needs to tell me his seiyuu’s name cause I’m totally blanking on it. And I know I’ll kick myself when I hear it cause I recognize his voice. URRRGGGG. Why am I so bad with names? Cause you only have room in your head for Jun, Hime Oh, well. I’m hoping for more Hinata and more Yuuichi since he does seem like he’ll shake up some trouble once he infiltrates the Student Council.

Himea is still greedy, grasping and overprotective as ever of her property, Taito. In a way, she’s like Gekkou over the people he’s with. But he’s a tsundere and Himea’s a yandere.
Taito’s sister is a pervert. Lol, she was expecting him porn. We can only imagine what goes on in that head of hers because she said those things far too casually.
Yuuichi is obviously Hinata in disguise. He has the same kind of voice, facial expressions and style. The difference is that he’s wearing glasses instead of a monacle. If that girl on the other side of the door where Yuuichi was is Lilith, then who’s Haruka’s second personality.
Why are the classmates so set on what goes on between Taito, Himea and Haruka? Last time I checked, a love triangle wasn’t a spectator sport.

It’s good all the dere-fetishists are catered for in this series, at least. I’m glad we have at least one male tsundere, there’s too few of them. Last one I remember was Yakumo.
Taito’s little sister clearly doesn’t know him very well, cause really at his age it SHOULD have been porn. And, despite Himea’s craziness, he probably should have just had sex with her. I guess the guys from Star Driver stole his libido in exchange for giving him Takuto hair.
I thought that about Yuuichi, too, at first. DAT SMIRK. He is voiced by someone different though, I’m sure. Still can’t place that name!
I dunno about the classmates rooting for her, maybe it’s just some shallow attempt to keep her in the show until her story arc comes around?

This anime has a lot of pairings. Taito and Himea, Gekkou and Mirai and possibly Haruka and Hinata. But Taito’s clueless about Himea’s feelings, even to go on a date. It’s a shounen thing.

I was surprised Yuuichi was voiced by someone else because he looked and sounded like Hinata.

well this ep was nice and great until the date stuff with taito and himea. gekkou and mirai was done quite better.
I have read the manga and definitely favor it already. since the forums I read said that they’ll skim/skip the vols that involve haruka, my hope is in the manga.
and mirai is more fun and cute in the manga, she also gets more screen-time and importance than the anime did. she’s the tsundere while gekkou is the kuudere(an unusual combination but im planning on doing that once I manage push myself to write).

I haven’t read the manga in a long time but the anime definitely feels rushed. If the manga is going on, then hopefully we might get a second season because apparently there’s two more characters yet to be seen. I’m not sure if they can get everything done in just 6 more episodes.
