Satellizer powers up for the finale!

Fosh:Well finally we have reached the final episode! Hopefully this last one can prove some extreme action! After the last episode things were headed to blood and of course fanservice. Time to see what fun we can have this time! I am joined by Hato this time and Ness!

Ness:Heya everyone (or the few who are following this series hah). Not much is up with me. A bit behind on some reviews but somehow I found time to give my input for this last episode of Freezing. Yes! It’s finally here, the end of this horrific series!! You could say that I am glad that this is over. So, lets get this last episode rolling.

Plot this week continues with Satellizer fighting the Nova form Cassie, while one of the bigger Nova decide to use another girl’s crystal to teleport to the final room. The rest of the students also jump into the fight as a team to take down the monster!

 

Chiffon and her amazing claw of doom!

While Chiffon and Ticy deal with the intruder, Satellizer is still fighting Cassie until she does an attack that Ganessa acts as a shield from the attack! This causes her to take massive damage even loosing an arm. Man I felt bad for Ganessa! Even thou I don’t like her damn that sucked, however this gives Satellizer motivation to kick some ass.

Yeah I had the same reaction! Ouch really painful!

Arthur-“Don’t worry I still love you even with half a body.”

Satellizer-“Oh it is so on Cassie!”                          Cassie-“PSssh I am not scared”

During the fight with Cassie Satellizer goes all powerful! Guess it took Ganessa getting blown apart for her to actually get angry. The fight was short but deadly, Satellizer ends up cutting off both of Cassie’s arms and ripping the crystal from her chest. Finally some BLOOD! But I armless Cassie made me sad, only because it wasn’t really her fault ah well blame the nova. Before Satellizer can finish off Cassie, Aoi jumps in giving her a hug this causes her to calm down and return to normal. And we find out Ganessa is fine after waking up, lots of arms fall off in this episode.

I still keep picturing these two as Ranka and Sheryl ! Sorry it’s the hair.

Aoi-“I love when you have that killer look in your eyes Satellizer!”

Cassie-“tell me how bad is it?”          Satellizer-“Uhhh you look fine…just need some makeup”

With Cassie somewhat back to normal, in the other room with Chiffon the Nova form Milena’s crystal begins to glow. The Nova outside of the school uses it as a teleport and appears in the room with Chiffon and the other girls jump in and everyone begins to fight. Until the Nova uses the crystal Satellizer was holding to attempt to take her over, should have let that thing go!

Chiffon- “What you said there’s a monster there? I can’t see it.”

Satellizer likes red glowing lights more than blue lights

Even the girls can’t look away from the panty shots!

Nova- “ Ooooooh I must touch the glowing chick! De geso!”

Before the girls can launch their attacks the Nova uses a freezing attack to lock the girls in place, until Aoi uses his hacking powers and frees the girls. Should have used it earlier buddy, Satellizer breaks free of the control and jumps in help kill off the Nova for good! So the power of friendship saves the day? I guess that works.

 

It must be freezing inside Satellizer’s dream world.

 

Chiffon didn’t do much in the series, but that claw is damn cool looking!

 

Nova- “You girls are so damn mean! I just wanted a hug De geso”

 

She does realize we have seen her breasts like since the first episode? But that blush is cute.

 

Aoi-“Are we forgetting someone?”                               –Attia-“oh shut up, look into the sun”

With the Nova cleared out from the school, everyone walks out together! Maybe now they won’t try to kill each other anymore? The ending credits roll past showing the after effects of the attacks, with Cassie perfectly fine and Ganessa! Both of them got new arms amazingly fast! Guess that helps when you go to a genetics school? And Satellizer finally agrees to give Aoi his baptism and of course walks in on Satellizer with Rana who strips to join in! Why because this show needs more fanservice right up to the end.

Yay Cassie got new arms!                    Rana- “let’s have a party in my room later Aoi”

 

Satellizer- “No one can resist my moe glasses mode!”

After all the credits roll pass we get one last brief scene! With Sister Margaret talking to someone named Professor Aoi! Surely this has to be Aoi’s dad? Guess we might get another season two! Of course they didn’t defeat all Nova that would be too easy.

 

Professor Aoi- “Time to get Gendo on your ass Aoi! Prepare yourself to cry”

And then stuff got really weird!

Finally some Chiffon service to finish the series!

End thoughts

Fosh: This episode had some great fighting! Even thou half of it was mostly Satellizer going crazy with all of her power up moves. I think she did this three to four times in one episode! This last one felt more like DBZ with Ganessa getting “killed” and Satellizer reacting to it gaining some insane power, then again most series can pull that off well. And she is the main character anyway so I expected her to do something like that anyway.

The other girls also get to show off too, like Chiffon who really didn’t get to show her powers off much or her claw weapon! Not sure why but I always liked fist based weapons. The Nova using the gem to teleport inside was also great! I kind of knew that something might happen like that. But in the end it really didn’t feel like they were in any real danger, after all they had the whole cast attacking at once!

Now near the end after all the random fanservice was said and done, we get that bit with Professor Aoi! I only assume that’s Aoi’s dad, it would fit the story if indeed it was. Could explain why his sister got involved in all the fighting with the Nova, so they have a huge opening for another season thanks to the ending scene. I did find one small thing strange, how Ganessa and Cassie got new arms so fast! I guess it has something to do with the school I assume.

Overall Freezing was fun in some spots, and others it really failed! I am looking at you Prom episode what the hell was that?! Fun characters like Rana kept me wanting to watch this, Satellizer is great too but she switches personaily way too much. Going from shy glasses girl to raged killer in a matter of minutes, didn’t really work for me.

I liked Cassie too near the end; at least she had an interesting back story. Yes Satellizer had a screwed up life too, however I didn’t really care too much for her anyway. Would I watch a second season? Yes I probably would, but highly unlikely blogging it again. There are way better shows that fit this theme out there.

Ness: Man what an ending. First I’d like to comment on how awesome  Satellizer was with her few minutes of raging against Cathy. Satellizer snapping after Ganessa pulled a hero sacrifice was so going to happen. Yet, how Ganessa would make such a decision and her explanation was just so like her. The number one of the school and protecting those weaker than her – such Ganessa type reasoning. I thought that Ganessa wouldn’t make it but they just had to make it so no Pandora dies. The girl lost a quarter of her body! Yet, this is an anime and this is Freezing.

I was wondering about the title of this last episode: Satellizer vs Pandora. After Satellizer saved Cathy from corruption, I was pondering about why they would choose such a episode title. One of my initial thoughts before viewing this was that Satllizer would probably get corrupted and of course, it happened! But it was such a short lived moment but it felt longer because where the hell was Kazuya when she was making her way to Elizabeth? And of course, Kazuya just had to be knocked out. Having Kazuya save the girls from being frozen was cool and all but the blushing crap still makes it look stupid.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention how cool Chiffon and Ticy was with their introductions. As well, Chiffon’s title as the Smiling Monster made her ending credits smiling shadow seem more humorous. The random scenes of the woman watching the monitors and commenting on the battles was interesting. It made me wonder why now in the last episode they have to show some mysterious woman. It almost seemed like some lead to a second season. Well, the ending most certainly made a hint on it with the phone call between the principal and the revealing of Aoi’s father who is probably in charge of the stigma/pandora research. I suppose not it makes more sense on why Kazuha had so man stigmas and there’s the mystery still on why Kazuya is so different. I have no expectations for a second season and if by some chance there is, I will be sure to let someone else cover it. Most likely, I will check out the Freezing manga in the summer.
