Bakemonogatari is a NisiOisin (Death Note, XXXholic) novel, who is a really TEH modern kick-a** writer. And since I’ve heard that Bakemonogatari almost tackles rapid-fire puns and stuff, I can see it being more enjoyable in animation plus I can really see SHAFT doing an awesome job with it and it totally fits Shinbo’s style. I’ll be expecting Bakemonogatari to turn out way more better than Natsu no Arashi.
Talking about rapid-fire puns a while ago, Bakemonogatari has it. Long, meaningless conversations at first, but they’ll end up foreshadowing the deep plotline.
Here are the seiyuu of each main character for their own respective stories that’s been given so far:
Hiroshi Kamiya as Koyomi Araraki
Chiwa Saito as Hitagi Senbagahara
Emiri Katou as Mayoi Yakyuuji
Kana Hanazawa as Nadeshiko Sengoku
Miyuki Sawashiro as Shunga Kamihara
Yui Horie as Tsubasa Hanegawa
Also, we have Takahiro Sakurai whom will be playing Meme Nin’ya (no character illustration yet).

Looks like they’re going to make the story flow in their own separate stories until they all link into each other and start to make sense. This is the latest one released:
All illustrations are really wonderful and I’ve been more anticipating this series now.
Another thing to take note of: The music will be done by Kousaki Satoru, who is the genius behind Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star’s “Motteke!Serafuku” and Kannagi’s “motto! hade ni ne”. The OP theme will be of supercell’s ryo, which is getting very popular lately for their Miku Hatsune songs. The OP is titled “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari” or “The Story You Don’t Know” and the vocals will be by Gazelle (not Miku unfortunately :/). So far, the OP’s meaning tackles about the Bakemonogatari world having a spin-off. We’ll get to know more when some more info gets released on the future.
It screams promising already, and it’s definitely one of the shows this summer that I’m awaiting for.
