Absolute Anime Ending Themes ~FINAL~

It’s down to the Top 5 Anime Ending themes that are ‘the best’ in terms of my view. They are the songs that kept me until the last second of the show and they made a lasting impression and impact after I watch it. Let’s continue down to the final 5!!!

5: BE YOUR GIRL – Elfen Lied ED

The contrasting upbeat J-Pop ED theme of Elfen Lied sung by Chieco Kawabe is very addictive to listen to. I put up the PV video because the ED video was just a still boobshot XD… Anyway, great song but the video could have been better to make it get a higher position on my chart.

4: YOAKE UMAREKURU SHOUJO – Shakugan no Shana I 1st ED

Again, another ED theme that has a great song but because of the video, it should have been my number one. I like the full song of this and the Gregorian thing there is very cool. The intro lines were also very strong and powerful to pull off a techno dance beat after that. IMO, this is the best Shakugan ED ever made.

3: TIP TAPS TIP – Eureka Seven 3rd ED

Besides from being one of the best modern anime today, Eureka Seven has good soundtrack as well. It has great OP and ED themes. My favorite ED theme was the catchy J-Pop song Tip Taps Tip, sung by HALCALI. I love how it shows a laid-back, slice of life-ish theme with the video of Eureka and Anemone living like normal teen girls.

2: SHISSOU – Ouran High School Host Club ED

[Warning: The video contains spoilers] I love Shissou the first time I heard it on Ouran. But what made me love it more was when it was played on the finale. It fitted perfectly well on the scene especially when Haruhi went off chasing Tamaki using a carriage. It really made a lasting final impression from the series, which was great. The ordinary episodic ED btw, is quite ordinary with a static image with moving cameras for the main characters in hot outfits.

1: SPLIT – Honey and Clover 2 ED

Photobucket

Well probably the anime that I’ve become the most emotionally attached with. I’ll admit that Honey and Clover was the only anime that made me cry and it was when the ending song played in the finale. The lyrics was very sad and it talks about the possibility of not seeing each other again. I’ll recommend that you should listen to the full song. Suneohair sang this as well as the first ending theme of the series, entitled Waltz.

So that concludes my list! Hope you like it and tell me what Anime Ending Theme do you like too ^_^!!!

Shishou~! I never really loved that song until the finale at which point it became, “OMG AWESOME” for me. After Ouran ended I had that song on my repeat for a while…

I can’t believe I’d forgotten about both Shakugan and Honey & Clover’s brilliant ending themes… UR PIX R GODLY!!11 lmao 😛 Well, I would’ve liked to see Noir’s ED somewhere, but other than that, your selection was great!!

Yup, Honey and Clover 2 ED is quite good :)

@would: I like that song too sorry but 15 isn’t enough to place all my faves ^^

@amayalee: Thanks ^_^ Your picks are good as well.

@FuyuMaiden: Yeah, Shissou made the most impact in the finale :)

@Shuffee (cute name btw ^_^): I’ve never seen Noir yet but I’ll take a look at it soon.

@Kitsune: I don’t know that one. You sure know a lot of anime ^_^

  8. Kitsune says:

Only Yesterday (Omohide Poro Poro) is one of the best Ghibli films written and directed by Isao Takahata.

  9. kanzeon says:

@Kitsune: Thank you very much for the info ^_^. I just watched the ED on youtube and it gave me chills on the spine. It was very serene. Isao Takahata… The only works I knew from him are Kiki’s Delivery Service and Grave of The Fireflies, both are wonderful btw. Now I must find subs for this one since the story looks interesting and you recommended it 😀

  10. Kitsune says:

I should have mentioned that the ending is somewhat spoilish >.<

The film can be found on a certain crunchy website 😉

  11. 53RG10 says:

When I saw the Eureka SeveN image, I thought I was going to see Himitsu Kichi…>_>

And good call on Honey and Clover’s ED! It may not be on my top ten ED songs, but it’s a darn good song! ^_^
