Vampire Knight 08: Blast of Grief

Another episode of Vampire Knight! And it shows more of Rima and Shiki!!!

Zero’s mind had been filled with Kaname’s saying that he’s only letting him live because of Yuuki. At the Night Class dorms, a servant comes and hands Ichijou a note, saying that his grandfather, Ichiou, is coming for a visit. This news causes Ichijou complete panic. That night, everyone gathers to greet Ichiou as he comes, as well as Kaname. Ichiou nearly draws blood from Kaname, but Ruka and Aidou stop him. Aidou tells Ichiou that drawing blood from a pureblood is a vampire’s greatest taboo, but Kaname slaps him for that for the Nth time(poor him…again..).

Later, Ruka offers her blood to Kaname, but he refuses. Leaving the room, Kain is there to comfort Ruka so she cried in his shirt, thinking she’ll never understand Kaname’s thoughts. As Ichiou leaves, he tells Ichijou privately to serve Kaname well, and to keep an eye on him. Ichijou replies that he will never harm Kaname. Yuuki and Zero show up, and after a brief encounter with Kaname, take Ichiou to the Chairman’s Office. Zero is told by Chairman Cross that the Hunters’ Association wants him to track down an ex-human vampire that has already killed four teenage girls. Zero is given no choice, and the next day, he sets out. However, Yuuki spots him, and secretly follows him, wondering what he is doing. Shiki and Rima also show up(Yey), conversing with each other that the Council of Elders wanted them to track down the ex-human vampire, and then they see Zero doing the same. They realize it’s a race. As Zero confronts the ex-human vampire, the vampire tells Zero how it feels to sink his fangs into a human’s neck, bringing up bad memories for Zero.

The vampire escapes before Zero can do anything, and comes upon Yuuki with Shiki and Rima behind her. Shiki tries to kill the vampire by biting his finger, causing his blood to turn like a whip, but the vampire is too quick. Shiki said “I hate playing tag”..lol.. Rima said “Just shut up and do it”… lol again.. So Yuuki runs to try and find it. However, the vampire finds her first, and is about to kill her when his shoulder is shot by Zero. Zero kills the ex-human vampire, as a raven watches outside. Through the raven’s eyes, a girl named Maria Kurenai claims that she will start attending Cross Academy, while stating that Zero looks very fabulous now, and that Yuuki looks very delicious. Next to her, Ichiru listens.

Impression:

Woooooo… LOVE this episode.. This is like, the most entertaining episode yet here.. I raised my pics from 6 to 10 because there’s so much to put in! Besides from featuring more of my two fave vampies here, Shiki and Rima, this episode is a leap from the boring 7th episode… PLUS there’s some action baby! I also felt bad for Ruka, since she has unrequited love for Kaname… But at least there’s still hottie Kain for her..

..plus Maria’s hair irritates me the fact that its purple..because I really thought that her hair color would be blonde..

Overall the first half of the episode is fine but things get very interesting on the second half(like on the third episode as well)..
