Winter Anime Catalogue 2013

Winter is usually not the best season out there but there have been previous dark horses like Durarara!, Nisemonogatari and Nichibros that aired in Winter. This time around, RomCom is the most bloated genre along with a variety of idol, moe shows with a speckle of action, sci-fi and supernatural. So, you can already see that the line-up is not as exciting as in Fall but a good time to watch selected shows and catch up on some old backlog.
Going into summary, we have around 85 titles releasing with 36 TV series, 4 ONAs, 22+ OVAs, 13+ Specials and 10 movies. Like always, we haven’t followed any specific pattern except for gathering info from ANN, MAL, wiki and Moonphase to get a comprehensive list of titles releasing this Summer. Big thanks goes to Ness, who helped me with the post design and draft transfer, while Fosh and Miyu for information gathering. Of course, the whole team has pitched in with their commentary as always.
For chart action, take a look at Neregate’s detailed version. Do note, the round up updates are limited to popular studios and seiyuu rather than A to Z update (85% coverage).

// SEIYUU: Male
Due to less mainstream shows and too much variety, there’s not a lot of concentration of roles. However, Hiro Shimono wins it this time with three main roles in Senyuu, GJ-Bu and Kotoura-san.
