Well hello ladies! This is going to be very tough! There are some really great actresses in this group just like the guys, while I will always have my personal favorites like Kanade Itou, Kana Hanazawa ( requiring lots of Hanazawa vaccines ) and several others. But this is really up to the votes! So take some time and pick the best female seiyuus, hopefully your choices can win for this year! |

With a few delays, the next Year-Ender post is finally here. We got the Female Seiyuu nominations for 2011. It’s always tough to narrow down a year of seiyuu’s into ~17 nominations. But we did it somehow. Thanks to the help of Kyokai for narrowing down that list for us and to Fosh for providing some good information for you viewers.

| I really love this girls voice! She proved to be a great side character back when she was in Railgun as Saten, but she got a huge break with roles in Hanasaku Iroha as Ohana playing a girl with so many emotions! But she really shines the most when you cast her any perverted characters. Like Sanae in Ika Musume 2, Asuna in Softenni and recently in Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai as Sena. Hearing her in those roles always get lots of laughs out of me just based on how crazy she can get.

| Now where did I first hear her? I think she got her starring role in Yumekui Merry as Isana and then jumped around to lots of shows afterwards like Ano Hana, Freezing, Kamisama no Memochu, Toaru Majitsu no Index II,Kamisama Dolls, Last Exile S2 and now starring in Guilty Crown as Inori. Expect to hear more of her with the winter season!

| If you have seen any episodes of K-ON!… chances are you might know who this girl is, need a hint? Twintails! Well that was easy! Azunyan, of course. Aside from being member of the light music club you can hear her voice in Guilty Crown as the moe hacker Tsugumi! Unless someone like Kirino is more your style? Either way Ayana has shown she can play lots of roles, even some that make you wonder why… like Mio in MM who constantly beats the main guy with a bat…

| If you’ve watched any anime, you’ve heard her. Trust us. It’s a virus, really. Ao no Exorcist, Break Blade as a 12-year old with huge melons, Freezing, Mayo Chiki, Haganai. Honest to goodness, the girl goes to fricken work! I do think her most unique role was as Mahiru the yandere from Kamisama Dolls, where she got to play much more evil than she usually does.

| We couldn’t leave a list of female seiyuu without the mention of Rie! You know she is the really famous for her various roles as every flat chested tsundere character in every J.C.Staff series…You can find her living at the studio, maybe you should check the basement? Or you can hear her kicking serious ass along side of Gintoki as Kagura in Gintama. Her recent work has her filling out her famous role as Shana in Shakugon no Shana III ( Final ) and voice work in Persona 4! as Rise.

| I still remember Aki voicing the popular Yui from K-ON! She was just so hyper and not so mentally sharp in some things, but she always made everything so lively. This year was a great one for her too. Starring in Beelzebub, Ano Hana, Fractale, Hanasaku Iroha, Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam, Mawaru Penguindrum, Softenni, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Tarou Majutsu no Index II, Yuru Yuri and finally Inga from UN-GO. Whoa! Would you just look at that list? Quite impressive…

| Another fan favorite from Metanorn! I first heard this girl’s voice pop up in Bakemonogatari as the amazing Senjougahara, and then she became a favorite of mine. This was a great year for her starring in the Break Blade movie series, Astarotte no Omocha, C3, Gintama, Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam and Phi brain: Kami no puzzle! So you can see she has been through some interesting shows this year.

| Oh hey look! I almost left out the electric tsundere Misaka. Yes we all got a dose of this girl’s voice when she returned as Misaka in Toaru Majutsu no Index II to shock people and fire railguns. This year has been quite good to her for landing roles in Amagami SS OVA, Ao no Exorcist, Astarotte no Omocha, Dantalian no Shoka, Sket Dance, and finally Maken-Ki! Seems there are a lot of girls staring in that series.

| You know we really can’t leave this moe blob chick out! Right Tofu? This one is for you! It’s not like we do this for you or anything… Starting from her iconic role as Mio from K-ON! Hikasa has done a lot this year lending her voice talents in Infinite Stratos, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Moshidora, Manyuu Hikenchou, Beelzebub and finally with Working’!! You can also look forward to hearing her in the winter season in Inu x Boku SS and Highschool DxD.

| Noto was playing some odd characters at the start of this year with Satellizer El Bridget! A character not many people loved at all, well more for her massive plots and backstory…This year was a nice one for her jumping into roles for Toaru Majutsu no Index, Kimi to Boku. and finally Mawaru Penguindrum to round things out for her.

| I still find it very hard to picture Eri voicing someone as wild as Yui from Angel Beats. But whoa! She has been very busy this year, one of her stand out roles for me has to go to Kanade Suzutsuki from Mayo Chiki! Besides playing Kanade, Eri starred in several big shows like Ao no Exorcist, Break Blade, C3, Freezing, Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam and Working’!! Keep up the good work Eri throughout the next year.

| Oh man I can only think back to the days of good old scary Higurashi and I remember hearing Yui appear as the cute demon girl Hanyuu! Currently you can listen to Yui eat steak and call on her Persona as Chie or kicking ass with a penguin sniper rifle in Mawaru Penguindrum. Besides playing those two important roles this year, Yui has voiced characters in Dog days, Hourou Musuko, Ben-To, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira, Kämpfer für die Liebe and Nurarihyon no Mago: Sennen Makyou.

| I first heard this girl as Tooru-chan from A channel and Victorique from Gosick. Then again, maybe you skipped on those two series? When Aoi isn’t swinging around a metal bat around, or solving mysteries while wearing fabulous dresses, you can look for her in Beelzebub, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, Yuru Yuri, Last Exile Ginyoku no Fam, Persona 4 and Ben-To to name a few of her bigger roles this year.

Besides voicing Saber, you can find Ayako in Gosick, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Hidan no Aria, Ro-Kyu-Bu, Toaru Majutsu no index II and Shakugan no Shana III (Final).

| Look who we have here, if you are a Index fan like myself, you will always remember Yuka playing one of her more popular roles as the big eater Index. Unless you are more of a fan of another role of hers like Maria from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. Either way, both characters enjoy eating lots of food. Besides being known nuns with bottomless stomachs, you got to hear Yuka star in several shows this year! Like Denpa Onna, Fractale, Mayo Chiki, Yumekui Merry and C3. Next year prepare to hear her star in Nisemonogatari!
