Anime Status: June ’09

20: Weiss Survive

Lol uh well, I watched the first two episodes of it so this still has to be included xD. But isn’t it obvious? Dropped.

19: Tayutama ~Kiss on my Deity~ [Finished]

I just can’t believe I had wasted my precious time on this shit. It’s just below mediocre. What I’m expecting though is that they would at least have a really nice ending but they can’t even pull that off imo. I don’t know, I haven’t played the original game anyway. So yeah, I shall move on with my life now and forget that this shit ever happened. This just got an “Up” sign because a lot of shows from the last list had been removed now.

18: Asura Cryin’ [Season 1 Finished]

Another show that wasted several weeks of my precious life. I knew I should have dropped it from the start, but it’s just that I have nothing to do back then so I always end up watching episode after episode of this. But.. WHAT THE HELL!?!? It’s pointless. Yeah, I know that the finale had so much questions that needs to get solved, but I won’t bother watching the second season of this one (which will air on Fall btw). So yeah, this was a total waste of time. Again, this just had an “Up” like Tayutama because a lot of shows had changed/removed from the previous list and it affected its position.

17: Maiden Rose

HELL YEZ FOR KILLER CHINS THAT MAKES GAY ASS EXPLODE into bloody nothingness. Lmao. This yaoi OVA is so bad it’s awesome. I just can’t help but to laugh at their most serious situations xD. Again, just liek what I’ve said on my post about this, the chibi part on the end was probably the best part. And oh, it’s so entertaining to watch all those shoutas get beaten up and die on a fire xxD.

16: BASQUASH!

What the effin’ hell just happened on episode 12?! Basquash is going totally downhill since they changed the director, to be really honest. It’s butchered and stomped down… hard. I might be dropping this series now to make way for other worthwhile Summer shows starting next week. THIS FAILS. Not planning to watch episode 13 and I’m dropping it like a hot potato~.

15: Hanasakeru Seishounen

Am I the only one who’s still watching this show??? Anyway, this just keeps getting more and more interesting!!! With how Li Ren and Eugene acts like a dog and cat to each other, wait until they get to live under the same roof XD. Eugene’s hot btw~ But I still love Li Ren <3 XD!!! But aside from those, the cheese is just laughable xD. Especially on how the marriage thing suddenly sprouted, I was liek, WTFknhgsjdfhd XDDD!!! I love Lumati as well ^^.

14: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Oh my god I don’t know what to continue, this one or the manga?… =.=… Because I’m just getting confused from time to time when I relate the anime to the manga, especially when something got slightly changed. But anyway, the series continues to be cool. And wow because I just noticed that this is the only mainstream shounen I’m watching currently (with Gintama being on-hold). So yeah~.. And also, I just want to see more of Tsuna and the gang instead of the others -__-. And on a last note, Xanxus is just so smexilicious~<3.

13: Minami-ke OVA

What made this side-story OVA absolutely awesome is duh~ Hosaka XD! I just love him XDD. His scenes are just full of win and he’s indeed a very enjoyable character ^^. Other than that, I guess that was a pretty average OVA.

12: K-ON! [Finished]

K-On!’s real ending was in episode 12 right? Episode 13 is only an extra though. Anyway, I really enjoyed the songs in this show. That’s what I’ll miss the most ^^. Other than that, K-On!’s just… any other moeblob show anyone can find. Nothing amazing at all and I feel like the overhype about it just ruined the show more, just like how the exaggerated hate on it is getting stupid. The most awesome thing about it besides from the songs, Azu-nyan and Mio is Ritsu with bangs ^^.

11: Umi Monogatari

In my opinion, the first episode of Umi Monogatari was just decent. What pulled it quite a few notched to being “good” is its high production values, and geniuses working behind it. But yeah, it’s surprising to see a magical girl show that’s totally laid-back and slow for its first episode. The ED theme is definitely awesome ^^. So yeah, I might pick this one up to see what’s this one heading on.

10: 07-GHOST

I really apologize for not blogging episode 07-Ghost last week, and I hope that this Frau gif I made will pay for it  and have you distracted ^^. Ok, 07-GHOST is the biggest dropper on the list, isn’t it? The reason why is because the “mid-series boredom syndrome” totally struck me and it’s also at perfect timing because this is the least interesting part of the series for me. Episode 12 was awesome though with its bloody elements. Other than that, Teito and Hakuren’s bitching about each = so not amusing -__-. And yeah, can I say that I’m bored of the new arc? More Frau and RazettexCastor flashback now plz. And Capella too~. ktnxbai.

9: Sengoku Basara [Finished]

(Two gifs in a row!)~ I totally fangirled Yukimura and Masamune throughout the entire series. And I’m so glad it’s getting a second season! Woohoo~!!! More of brainless (and sub-less XD) action that SB’s really good at doing. The finale is awesome, GAR, and just action-packed. (Too bad Nouhime died though T__T). But overall, I’m happy with its first season, and no doubt I’ll be watching the second season as well for more manly love between my crack OTP XD!!!

8: Valkyria Chronicles

I told you so that I’ll put up Valkyria Chronicles on my Hot 10 because of ONLY what happened on episode 10! XD. But other than that, I’m used to following the series only for the development of the character’s relationships. There’s Alicia and Welkin, and there’s a possible brewing RamalxIsara too ^^. So yeah, bring on more doki-doki moments!!!

7: Haruhi Suzumiya 2009

I haven’t read the light novels though, unlike Tsui. But I sure am hungry for some spoilers so I raided throughout the entire interwebz just to see what’s really behind this. So yeah, the part 2 of Endless Eight explained it. I can’t call it mindfuck, but heck, it’s still amusing though. Plus Itsuki is just animated fabulously in there. And the KyonxItsuki parts in there were just awesome XD.

6: Pandora Hearts

You know what? I think I should really get over the fact that the animation quality of the series is horrible, and instead, I’ll just think that it’s still the year 2001 when I’m watching it. Anyway, ugh… Pandora Hearts is just… Indulging. I kept on saying to myself “Waaah, the quality sucks, drop it please”, but then again, I always end up watching the next episode week by week XD. Episode 13 is probably the best episode of the series so far, and I totally decided to continue it on for being a very faithful adaptation from the manga ^^. (On to fangirling mode: <3<3<3 GIL and JACK~!!! <3<3<3!!!!!!!!!!!!!111)

5: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei

Highest new entry of the month! Whoa… The 4th installment of the Rei OVAs was totally dialogue-heavy O____O… IT’S AWESOME! Things had been slightly clear now and explained. With that, and how this episode had been presented, I can’t help but to get more excited about Umineko, which would be airing in only a few moments. Studio DEEN must have been saving so much budget for it right now, so yeah… I’m all hyped up~.

4: Ristorante Paradiso [Finished]

The ending was just so nice and touching. I just “d’awwwwwwwwwwwww so much! And as much as I find myself weird for saying this but… I wish it could have been longer. I really love the art and music in it. Not the so-called smexy grandpas though XP. Nicoletta deserved to be happy even though I quite disliked her from the start ^^. So overall, this series got me comfortable as it goes by, the ending was satisfying, and I can say that it had been a one of a kind series ^__^.

3: Requiem for the Phantom

First of all, dropping from 2 to 3 isn’t a bad thing (duh~ it’s still the third place!!!)! So anyway… Yay~ Cal is here and is cuter than what I had imagined her to be ^^. So what can I say about the series this month. Phantom is just dirty, sexy and sly~ The new Reiji is a hawt pimp. EWW at himxClaudia though, but oh well, I think he’s just lonely and he needs some love after losing Ein T^T. Moving on to Cal, I really love her interactions with Reiji because Reiji shows a brighter side of him when he’s with her. I love Cal already! And she even has the twintails of Rima (VK) and Utau (SC!)!!! But lol, I’m so not shipping her with Reiji (because that would be so wrong in many levels)… But yeah, I hope Reiji won’t be a pedo and only treat her like a sister. Also, Show ▼

2: Eden of the East [Finished]

The overall series is really enjoyable. What can you ask for with such a very interesting premise, high production values, and much more? But it felt like, an appetizer for the main dishes: which are the movies. There had been a LOT of questions (btw, sorry everyone who’s asking me in my post for episode 12. I can’t answer them because I don’t know either ^^;; lol). The finale was indeed a huge “Bang!!“, or just how Akira Takizawa puts it. It’s just a shocker that he had to wipe away his memories again. The character that I felt sad the most was Saki though, because Akira just put her into more danger. I can’t wait for the movies adn I wonder how this gem would continue now!!!

1: Hetalia Axis Powers

Fufufu~ And Hetalia just does it again? Why? It’s because it’s undeniably awesome. From a little history lesson and a little “getting to know” Sealand, to the adorably bawwwing conclusion to the Chibitalia arc that made us wonder as well if HRE really is the Germany now, Hetalia is just controversial, hilarious and epic. Oh god I love it! It’s at the top of my watchlist right now, and who knows if one of the upcoming Summer shows would beat it off its throne? (Oh wait, Summer also has another season of Hetalia as well~ XD).

Keep workin’ that white flag Italy! PATAPATAPATAPATAPATAPATAPATAPATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 XD

Spring Final Impressions:

Come on, I think Spring had produced quite a few memorable gems such as Eden of the East and a few worthwhile adaptations like 07-GHOST and Pandora Heart (just disregard its quality =.=). I enjoyed the season as well because Spring is probably the season that I had so much free time (it was Summer vacation here on our country back then), so I guess having so much free time made me enjoyed so much shows ^^. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the year for me, Spring stands out to be the second best season again, but I think it can be quite unlikely because Summer ‘might’ be its match for having quite a few shows I’m listing up already to check out. Bring on summer, but I also can’t wait for Fall the most ^^.

And for sure Summer will be very quite busy because it’s schooltime here. I have currently around 8 ongoing shows I’m watching, and that will obviously increase when new shows starts to premiere on Summer. So yeah, but watching will be my less priority from now on since I’m back to studying ^^.
