Yes I have picked Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku as one of my series to blog for fall! I mean how could I not? The story and characters are interesting so far at least to me.

Mahou Shojo’s anime setting is based on the town of Joetsu in Japan’s Niigata prefecture – also the hometown of Mahou’s LN author. Although never specified in the novels, the publishers confirmed the author wrote the story with their hometown in mind.

The LNs also state each magical girl’s power corresponds to their personalities – Nemurin’s powers were based on her lazy, sleepy nature. In addition, some of her interactions were taken from later volumes detailing the girls from Vol 1.

Nemurin was a good character and will be missed, but honestly, like zz says above, she got powers based on her awesome NEET abilities, so it’s not like she would lift a finger more.
I like how they play around with the idea that Snow White is a chosen one, and how they use that flashback fight to kinda foreshadow what could happen later. La Pucelle seems to like the “idea” of being a magical girl, but actually doing the stuff it takes? Is he like Nemuri in that regard?
..and they did a good job with her exit. Putting stuff off camera puts the scene in the viewers head, and we create our own emotions from it, which can make it just as sad and tragic as we make it.

Yeah Nemurin has the perfect power for any NEET she gets to stay indoors in magical girl form and the real world? LOL, but I liked her powers.
That flashback with Ripple and Top Speed with Calamity Mary was just showing us what happens when magical girls fight each other ie OMG BLOOD! I think Ripple has the most issue with being a magical girl she doesn’t seem very happy with her choice.
I liked the way they did too instead of going for a of gore filled death! Still though rip Nemurin.
