Heavy Object 15 – 17: Don’t you just hate it when you get raided while reading your secret stash of various erotic books? It’s stressful enough as it is when the boys risk their lives to get a mission done, so they deserve something to keep them occupied. 😉
At this point, it’s safe to say Qwenthur and Havia are now actually being bullied onto the battlefield whenever they’re strong armed by Frolaytia. This time, she clearly and blatantly blackmailed them in exchange for their stash. Man, so much pity I feel for those two.
The recent Alaska arc had to have been a moment most male viewers will never forget. The reveal that the well-developed, well-endowed “Ohoho” (real name unknown) turned out to be nothing more than a deceiving loli. Like Qwenthur, a number of hearts had to have been broken. I, myself, was disillusioned.
Nope. She is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto. Also known as Strike the Blood’s Natsuki Minamiya, Durarara’s Kururi Orihara and Bubuki Buranki’s Kaoruko Kazuki.
Episode 17 is where it starts to get real interesting with the emergence of traitor/spy right off the bat and he begins to kill off the good guys. Compared to the other arcs, everything got hairy in a flash, especially when I was getting interested in the added cast. And I don’t know if you guys have noticed but out of the two leads, it’s always Qwenthur that sustains injuries. Once again, he’s shot by the enemy. About time he borrows Touma Kamijou‘s “fukou da! (Such misfortune!)”
Plus, it shows that not just Qwenthur but his family is filled with naturally good-hearted people after it was connected but not outright stated that our idol announcer is the daughter of a ruined noble family that received shelter from them thanks to his father.

Bubuki Buranki – 03 – 05: Sheesh, these kids just can’t catch a break. One after the other, Reoko’s cronies are right behind them. With how the 5th episode ended, it’s pretty much a safe bet the last one isn’t far behind.
I don’t know about you guys but I really hated Shuusaku during his fight against Kougane. It would’ve been justice served had he gotten killed getting run over by the train but the slimy bastard still lives.
Souya’s battle against Kinoa was more amusing than thrilling with him taunting her with their past which in contrast makes it hard to believe Kinoa’s past and present self are actually the same person. That was dumbfounding and I can’t begin to imagine what molded her into who she is now.

I still like Shuusake, he’s one of my favorites of the 4 gods. He’s so over the top, and yet dangerously cool all at the same time. And of course, I still get the feeling that there’s more under that facade he puts for than we think. I don’t think he killed Kogane’s dad, even though he’s making her think he did. The gun he held was the wrong model from what he normally uses. Why switch from his signature Mauser to a .45 just to fire one shot? It will be interesting to see more as it goes on.
As for Kinoa, I think Souya IS the person that molded her into her current self. She was very quiet and demure when she first met him, but notice in the flashbacks that she began to dress differently and they even got similar glasses? He was always a very outgoing person, and he was sort of a mentor to her in order to get her to let go and live life, while at the same time being her boyfriend too.

Gundman: I thought the show was going a bit backwards trying to force the princess into the Maid of the Revolt thing. Felt totally fake. But they’ve managed to right the ship, and had a damn good mech battle to tie up this “we’re almost to Earth arc”.
BB I love the look of the show, and I like what I think the place it’s going to be; but man, this is formulaic from the characters to the fights…kinda predictable and not very fresh. I hope that will chill out and they start to tell their own story soon…
