First Impression – Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic

Time for your moe-diabetes shot!

Hello fans of Kiniro Mosaic or are there such fans? I think out of all the returning anime this one is going to be pushed aside because I think the first season was hard for most people to actually get into or am I completely wrong? I will say it had a very slow start and if it did not have characters like Karen and Alice to carry the series I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much…so what about this? Will it be more of the same? I sure hope so.

Cuteness Overload

Kirino Mosaic (2)

The two reasons I watch Kiniro Mosaic <3

It feels good to have these five girls back again and everyone is just about the same with Shino drooling over Alice’s blond hair, Karen is still her goofy self along with Aya not being able to confess to Youko while Alice is staying in Japan for a new semester at school, but with any new school year the classes are switched which splits up the girls and of course this change effects Alice and Shino more than anyone or did it also effect Aya who felt a bit lonely without Youko. I guess the only two that adapted quickly to the changes were Youko and Karen? Then again those two always seem to be in their own little worlds! Especially Karen who is still the most popular girl of the bunch. Now for the actual plot which is hard to say about this series since it bounces around from comical moment to comical moment, but the first half followed Karen having a tough time with her new homeroom teacher Akari Kuzehashi, I did laugh after we learned that her teacher was having a hard time getting  her students to like her and the fact that she finds her students to be really cute? I guess if it was a male teacher there would be all kind of red flags huh? After that we shifted to Alice trying to find out why Shino loves foreign countries; however that was solved by the power of failed investigations! YAY! So why does she love other counties anyway? Well Shino has her own set of goals to eventually become an interpreter to help people connect which is never a bad thing and afterwards they ate tons of cake! Just kidding I don’t really know what they did afterwards other than walked home together? Yeah again as much as I love Kiniro Mosaic there really isn’t a whole lot you can say other than it was cute.

Karen is the best!

End Thoughts

Ahh that was refreshing! In the words of OC this is a healing anime that you just watch at the end of a hectic day or after watching all the crazy action and dramatic anime! This really takes no brain power to follow and no I’m not saying that the series is a dumb moe show because it does have an overall message about discovering friendships and overcoming language barriers or am I reading to far into things? Either way love it or hate it I know I plan on watching more! I just wont hold your breath for me covering it weekly…

About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

This was pretty much just as expected. I had the opposite reaction to the first series: The first episode was excellent with the art shift and cinematic presentation, and then just fell off from there. After Karen showed up, the show relied almost entirely on Karen’s Wacky Hijinx to try and carry it, and that gets old for me.

I’d like to see more of the new teacher, I thought she was a good addition.

And it should be like Gochuumon wa Usagi, especially since if you handed Aya a gun, you’d have Rize.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah I suppose Karen isn’t as popular as the other characters? I get the feeling I’m the only fan of Nao Touyama on Metanorn because I like every character she plays.

Yeah that new teacher is interesting.

I wouldn’t mind that but of course after a while even Gochuumon got to be a bit zzzzz.

Oh, goodness, Shino and Alice in different classes. Welcome to Separation Anxiety the Anime. LOL.

This was exactly as expected, no more no less. I have to agree with Highway, Karen got to be a bit much?

    …and couldn’t they coach a British accent for Alice’s VA? C’mon….

    • Foshizzel says:

The drama of SoL school! Switching classes! Noooooooo!!

PSSSSh you can never have enough Karen, but then again I love Nao Touyama <3 <3 <3

Well let's be real you know that would sound awful! Imagine if you applied that to every character from another country in anime? Infinite Stratos would become even trashier and I know Julie from Duo did it well only because she had to say like short catch phrases.

That said they could pull it off in the English dub which they did with Infinite Stratos by actually playing up the accents, but it's terrible...

That teacher may be intimidating but you gotta admit that pink scrunchy sidetail looks cute on her.

The Engrish still gives me the herpes. It’s better than other shows but it still makes me cringe.

And who asks an elementary girl directions to the hospital?

Nice to have my weekly dose of CGDCT.

    • Foshizzel says:

      Yesh very cute indeed!

LOL well compared to most English stuff in anime Kiniro Mosaic at least tries! If you saw season one of Sympogear you would crying and probably die from the bits of English they used.

      Because she looked cute? xDDD

      SAMEEEEE

Kiniro Mosaic is wonderful and I love it.

Sorry I can’t think of anything better to say. I’m suffering from a stomach-bug that has me at a high fever. My brain feels like its encased in cotton.

    • Foshizzel says:

      YAYYYYYYYYYYY! Same

No worries I will just be watching it weekly instead of reviewing xD

  5. Namaewoinai says:

    So They are back huh!?

    Well…to me i say this!

4Koma (or Four panel to Most people) type anime like this is kinda more pleasant and even if it’s so corny or lame, i think it’s far more respectful than the once from “ahem” light novel ones. so i would stick with them!

as for this show…so Ms. SnowWhite (Karen Kujou) meets her worst nightmare (or sort), Ms. Kazeboshi and Nope i’am not gonna call her the Tiger but i’am gonna call her…

    THE EVIL DARK QUEEN…>:D

Speaking of Names i would like to call the ff:

    Shinobu Oomiya – Cinderella
Alice Cartelet – Alice in Wonderland
    Aya Komachi – Little Mermaid
Youko Inokuma – Red Riding Hood
    Karen Kujou – Snow White
Sakura Karasuma – Fairy God Mother

    and yeah after this show,
    yes…NON NON BIYORI…
    YES Ms Renge (Maple/Ren-Chon/Nyan-Pasu) Miyauchi
    I’am Waiting!!!

    • Foshizzel says:

Yesh! The five girls are back <3

4koma anime usually fails or wins depending on the crowd.

      Karen <3

      LOL interesting comparison

      WOOOOO! Non Non Biyouri <3
