Yoru no Yatterman – 06

Leopard demands that you read this post!

Welcome back to another thrilling and comical episode of Yoru no Yatterman on Metanorn, but this episode was more on the super serious tone and some tiny reveals that make me think Gorou Shogun is actually the father of Ga-chan! Especially with the dog? Yeah that was probably the biggest hint…

Going solo

Leopard is quite popular.

Leopard lately has been easily the best highlight of every episode for her crazy antics, over the top personality and of course her never give up attitude. That said this week showed another side of her after Tonzra and Boyacky both decided to tell her that they should probably quit the mission to get back at the Yatterman because it was starting to get very dangerous and they just wanted to protect Leopard from danger! Which caused her to run away after throwing a trantum about  being told to stop, but I totally understand she is still a kid and typical kids get mad about being told no or stop; however the Yatterman are still after them and with Leopard on her own I got worried that she would have gotten picked up by them or were you? Speaking of being picked up what is going to happen to Ga-chan since he was captured?! Also the robot dog that is always around Gorou Shogun? I think it recognized him and Gorou appeared to feel something towards Alouette? While that was interesting I will say that Leopard has developed a strange habit of running into new people every week that she tries to help. but they end up helping her and this week it happened to run into another random person that gave her a hand. While that has been a recurring theme of the series so far, but I suppose that is a good way to show the audience how Leopard gains followers and opens their eyes to the truth that the Yatterman are the real threat and she wants to save them.

Fk ya extra heroes

End thoughts

Well that was an interesting episode of Yatterman! I liked the bits with Leopard on her own and the hints that Gorou Shogun might be the father of Ga-chan was kind of interesting, but I guess most of us already figured that out by now huh? So what did you like this week? Leopard on her own? The giant mecha battle of the week or hints about Gorou Shogun?

About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Wait a minute, he can’t be galina and alouette’s dad, they aren’t siblings. Though my money is on him being galina’s dad

    • Foshizzel says:

Whoops ill get on that and edit! Thanks LOL

Yeah he has to be Galina’s dad xD

      • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, I believe there’s relation between the two though for me, the father/son possibility doesn’t feel like the right one. Maybe cousins or something because if it’s true, that’s pretty whacked almost executing your own child.

        • Bobob101 says:

Common, they did the thing were they purposefully didn’t show the face of Galina’s dad in the photo. That’s one of anime’s favorite ways to be “mysterious”

          • BlackBriar says:

True. Though it’s made so obvious that you don’t want to believe it even when the reveal gets put in front of your face.

          • skylion says:

Or to show that someone is dead…

          • Foshizzel says:

If it wasn’t really his dad then its obvious that the dog was his because they made it a point to mention that fact and Gorou reacted to the name.

            • BlackBriar says:

Can’t help feeling amnesia is somehow involved.

            • Foshizzel says:

Yeah or the robotic parts are controlling him?

            • BlackBriar says:

Maybe…. As an insurance policy for the Yatterman leaders to keep control of him.

            • Irenesharda says:

I don’t know why, but when they made that hinted reveal, my mind went back to that old Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog series and how Robotnik used to robotisize people to serve as his minions. I’m wondering if Goro and the dog are the same?

          • Irenesharda says:

Look closely at that family photo, that’s a little girl in the photo. Those are Alouette’s parents. And yeah, if you look extra closely, you can see the outline of her father’s hair, which seem to hint at red and a similar hairstyle.

    • Irenesharda says:

Honestly, I think Goro is being implied to be Alouette’s father, rather than Galina’s.

Remember that while the dog seemed to recognize Galina it was barely there, and Goro didn’t even pause at seeing the boy, however, he’s never really seen Alouette until that moment at the end. And that was when he seemed to freeze at the sound of her voice and her laughter. It was Alouette that triggered Goro’s response, not Galina. Also, the family photo that they showed was hers, and her father is suspiciously glared out. Alouette is also conveniently blind so she couldn’t recognize her dog or her father by looking at them. Also, some have pointed out that her father used to use a cane similar to Garo’s.

Also, since I believe that they are building up Galina and Alouette to be the new Yatterman to take the mantles of the originals, it’s interesting that Goro carries that shock-stick cane which was a trademark weapon of Ai-chan (Yatterman 2) back in the day. It would be apropos if he eventually gets his memories back and bequeaths the weapon to her.

  2. BlackBriar says:

The episodes’ events were a good life lesson for Leopard to learn. For the most part, she had herself and the gang rushing into incidents without proper planning and got out by what I would call sheer dumb luck because the Yatterman so far look really incompetent. Better to hit against the wall a bit and learn from past mistakes. Maybe now she’ll grow to assess situations and decide whether it’s more efficient to go in guns blazing in full view, move in silently with a low profile or keep distance until there’s an opportunity to strike.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah Leopard was quick to learn she can’t do this on her own and needs her two buddies to assist her, but she does have a habit of being extremely lucky! That helps her achieve the impossible xD

      • BlackBriar says:

Another thing the experience dealt with was some of her pigheaded nature in not considering what others think of the situation they’re in. Plus Leopard is still just a little kid and she isn’t the physical type so even now the lucky streak is holding out strong.

    • Irenesharda says:

Honestly, I do like that Leopard is learning, but I wouldn’t expect it to stick all the time. Though she considers herself the leader, she’s really kind of more of the inspiration. She’s 9 years old, and I wouldn’t expect the kind of maturity or planning from her that I expect from your usual high school age protagonist. However, I do like that she’s growing and becoming a stronger person on this journey.

      • BlackBriar says:

I’m not expecting it to be a consistent thing but with time, the mindset should grow on her.

  4. skylion says:

I hate to admit it, but more Leopard solo is needed!

    • Foshizzel says:

      Truth!

    • BlackBriar says:

I guess she does well solo as much as being part of a trio.

    • Irenesharda says:

I did like having her solo this episode, but I also like the fact that they still remember to treat her like she’s a little girl and not some ultra-mature person stuck in a a little body that I’ve seen with a lot of lolis. I like that she was basically in a tantrum that her teammates/guardians recognized and they let her go off and blow off steam. But I also like how the experience was able to inspire both of them to become stronger and more resolute in what they’re doing.

      • skylion says:

She isn’t some paleo-LOLi that is for sure, and yes, one of the hallmarks of the series has been just that. She is a child, and they don’t forget that even children can have complex, interesting things to say.
Plus, as you say, that does give Boyaky and Tonzra the chance to grow out of those old 2d villains roles they are “supposed” to inherit.

  5. MR.KLAC says:

well give quite wonder give goro had life saved by yatter-kingdom yet his dog being friendly with gali?

then pic show person who “face” is hidden with dog at same time alou’s voice is heard got goro bit stun?

yet all this yea yatter-hydra are DAMNED FOOLS & lavender flower guy did right help leopard give “pay the price”.

& give volt & eleph realize leopard is light save this world from yatter-HYDRA.

overall all this going yea wonder what next?

  6. Irenesharda says:

Well this series really like to play whiplash with its tone, going from ridiculous on episode to dreary in another. This was actually a very good episode as it talked about realizes your own courage, and it takes a 9 year old girl to teach these poor people to stand up for themselves even against the worst odds.

Also, I see I wasn’t the only one to notice at the end there where General Garo hesitated the moment Alouette came out and then they flashed to that picture of Alouette’s family and her father’s face is mysteriously unseen, except for a bit of his hairstyle. Also the robotic dog that he has that looks a lot like the one in the picture? So, is Garo Alouette’s father and he’s just been mechanized and brainwashed?

I wouldn’t put it past the Yatterman rulers to be taking their people and making them into these cyborg beings to serve them. What if all those robots actually used to be people and that’s why they have so much personality? o_o

Wow is this series getting rather dark….

    • Foshizzel says:

That reminds me of Gintama because it has a lot of off the wall comedy, but ever so often it surprises you with an emotional moment or like in the case of Yatterman a message of encouragement which was great!

YEAH! General Garo felt something when he saw Alouette and heard the name Gali he also had some reaction and along with the mecha dog as well.

TRUEEEEE I feel that is what it means to be “recruited” by the Yatterman kingdom.

      LOL Yepp.
