Livin’ the dream!
I thought long and hard about whether it was worth writing this post. And in the end, I decided that it’ll be OK despite the short length. So, three things this episode. One: as I expected, there is indeed a first newspaper club, and they are indeed the second newspaper club’s rivals. We don’t formally meet them just yet, but I would think that the first newspaper club are a step ahead of the gang as they are able to set up and manipulate Yuuki and the girls for shots of ghosts in the old school building. Slick. Two: Ikumi 2cute4u. More on that in the next section. Three: Yuuki and Rino’s relationship advances ever so slightly with some not-so-gentle prodding from Ikumi. Now close enough to call each other by first name and even engage in borderline exhibitionism play, those two are on track to becoming a wholesome couple. Ok, maybe I embellished that second part a bit, but you can’t deny that hiding under the table during a fortune-telling to grope and motorboat Rino’s chest was pretty eyebrow-raising.

Phew, I made it through the second episode. Hopefully the next one will also give me enough material to warrant a short (or long, for that matter) post. And speaking of the show in general, there was definitely a lot more fanservice than I expected from Jinsei. But I have absolutely no problems with this. 😉

The show seems to still be suffering from continuity issues. How did Rino go under the table on all fours and when Yuuki followed behind they ended up with her below him and facing up? .-. They could both fit under that table crouching like normal people would do. It would be another story if Ikumi had thrown both down there (and would probably be funnier too).
And… Ikumi’s english… Is worse than when I was little and I was trying my first words in english. And why would she apologize in ENGLISH? From where did she find out that apologizing in english would be more effective than in japanese?

I thought Ikumi went to her English because the previous time, the teacher had cussed her out in English. Maybe she thought that showing her mastery of it would help (Ikumi’s opinion of her ability to do things is seemingly always unwarrentedly high).

I love the way that Ikumi and Fumi are both pushing Yuuki and Rino together, but not so much that they’re both really resisting any more than their natural tendency is. It seems really clear that they’d like to be a couple anyway, so maybe they’re both happy to have a little bit of help.
