We had Skylion on ep. 40 to talk spring anime, but we didn’t interview him as we normally do with the New Blood writers on Metanorn, so we’ve put Skylion in the “hot seat” to do just that. In addition to that, we talk about Hunter x Hunter’s return to Weekly Shonen Jump, Nature Valley’s twitter feed and also some thoughts on Mahouka and Nisekoi.

I knew skylion would eventually get the hot seat. If anyone asks what’s that smell in the air, it’s the result of a burning mythical creature. 😉 Looks like we have something in common. My favorite color is green as well. If you do find interest in M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane thanks to later episodes, be ready for a long haul now that it’s confirmed as a two cour series.
Jrow: No, no,no,no. No reminiscing about older MetaVerse posts. I remember leaving behind a monstrous sized comment on one of them, a massive wall of text. Episode 18: Gone Fishing, if memory serves and it shocked all who saw. I was so embarrassed it wouldn’t be surprising if steam came out of my ears while falling into disbelief. I think that qualifies as leaving a mark on Metanorn. Hahaha!!
For Persona 4: Golden. Is there really a point to animating it if it’s basically the same series only with one additional character? Even if Kana Hanazawa joins, does it make a difference? I saw the series while it was airing as Overcooled and Karakuri were Tag Teaming and from an anime-only viewer’s perspective, it already felt complete. The same feelings are there about Psycho-Pass season 1 returning this Summer though with some added footage.

You make it sound like a trend they’ve used often. How many times has that been done?

There’s just a couple instances. Ano Hana was reaired before the movie came out. Katanagatari also aired on noitaminA after the full series had already been released, but I don’t know of any specific reason for reairing the series other than including new theme songs by Supercell and Pico.

I remember that comment, mainly because I’m still reading through it to this day. :p
About P4G, I personally didn’t find Marie that interesting a character while I was playing, so I don’t find her inclusion in the anime enough to draw me back in.

Just throwing this out there. What would you like to hear us talk about on future episodes of MetaVerse? We got a couple ideas brewing, but anything Anime-related, current or old, is cool with us. I’m working to make sure we go back to a two-week recording schedule, so I hope to be doing plenty more MetaVerse shows this year.
