Winter Anime Catalogue 2014

winter14-mainimage

Welcome to METANORN’s Winter Anime Catalogue of 2014!

Winter is here to stay and so it seems my ever-visiting flu. This winter has been pretty bad for me but I’m coping with my unusual under the weather body. On a pleasant note, I’m making headways with my aniblogging plans this month and looking forward to the new lineup, which has more magic related shows and at least two agricultural school themed ones, studios are sure playing on niche this time around. Though, everyone’s been jabbering about Space Dandy, which should be awesome but I am also looking forward to Mahou Sensou, Noragami, Silver Spoon S2, Hamatora series along with Natsume and Mushishi OVA/Specials. With many Fall shows continuing, I can see my list at 15+ shows again but hey, that’s what I’ve been doing for many years. :3
A new year means a new start…and new anime. Don’t make a New Year’s resolution to go to the gym or be kinder – resolve to watch as much anime as you can! Although, to be honest, this season’s pickings seem pretty slim so you might have time to do both. Everything is a blur except for SPACE DANDY, which is sure to be a blast. Funny how amongst all the shows about crazy magical powers and whatnot and all I remember is Spacy Dandy and Silver Spoon season 2. Yes, the show about farms. Not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad one.
Goodbye fall hello winter which means cold weather and another birthday for me also Valvrave will be finally over leaving me waiting for the next big batch of mecha anime with Nobunaga the Fool and sure why not I will give Buddy Complex a test run even though I think the name is dumb! That said I can’t really poke that much fun at it after watching that other mecha anime named Majestic Prince?! So yeah I am excited for that and just like Highway said we still have a bunch of fall stuff continuing on through Winter which means more mini talks with Jrow on Log Horizon!
I don’t know what it is this year, but the weather has been absolutely cold and snowy where I live. …So I’m not looking forward to the winter season itself (it went down to negative 30-something degrees celsius in the fall alone OTL), but the anime should be okay. Strike the Blood is continuing on of course (along with a ton of other shows), and some of the new anime look really interesting. I admit that a huge part of my interest in Noragami is about Kamiyan and Kaji. Space☆Dandy is rather exciting too, since I’m recently become rather fond of Watanabe’s anime.
Winter isn’t generally the biggest season of the year. But this year we still have a lot of two-cour leftovers from Fall season, so it’s actually more jam-packed than we might imagine. One thing to note is the apparent influx of romcom shows coming up. Perhaps they’re trying to warm our hearts to tide us over the cold weather? More seriously though, I’m definitely excited for the upcoming season, what with Bones attempting a serious return (looking ahead to Spring season as well) and Shaft again trying their hand at something different (for them).
A very busy Fall season is passing into the rear-view mirror, and ahead of us is Winter. A bunch of shows are carrying over, but I think there are quite a few interesting shows coming up, and it seems like so much of it is described as “romance”. I don’t think it’ll rise to the level of Fall here, but I’d bet I’m watching something like 22 shows this season, but I’ll definitely try almost everything.
Fall and winter make no difference to me when it comes to weather. Being a person who lives in a tropical country, all I get in every season are sun and flood- I mean rain. So damn you people who complain about snow. Give your snow to ME *sob* Well, at least I got my anime to keep me warm as I forget how snow will never fall in my country. Some anime sounds meh, but there are some I am excited about, from the classic Sailor Moon to the plain strange Nobunaga the Fool. There is also Seitokai Yakuindomo to keep my perverted level sane too. So yeah, this winter might be full of flood, water kind of flood and anime kind of flood.
With the coming new year, we also get a new season of anime, as usual. And as usual, I’m flying mostly blind with just a handful of picks, but with the plan to give a fair shot to almost every show. To be honest, I’m ready to crown one show the winner of next season, and every other show has its work cut out for it if it wants to challenge Seitokai Yakuindomo for that crown.

Better late than never as usual so enjoy our comprehensive list of Winter anime 2014, meticulously organized under categories for your viewing pleasure. So, read on without any further ado. Let’s start by wishing you

  1. Highway says:

First show out of the gate seems to be Pupipo! Not a bad short show. Seems like Kirby the Ghost Hunter. 🙂

  2. Sumairii says:

    Page 2 of comments get!

  3. Soliia says:

These have all caught my interest:

    Noragami
    Space Dandy
    Nobunaga the Fool
    Gin no Saji S2
    Chuunibyou S2
    Nisekoi
    Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha
    Hoozuki no Reitetsu Hamatora
    Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta

I’d say that’s pretty good for a winter season. Of course, I may (and probably will) end up dropping many of these, but there are also others I may pick up and there is still a few fall shows that are carrying over. I hope I don’t drop any though and that this will be the start of a good year for anime.

    • Foshizzel says:

That is a great list! I will probably watch all of them or at least try the first three episodes <3

    • Namika says:

Oh I see where you’re coming from 😀 Every season I’m like “Oh, these anime look so good, I’m SO watching them!” and then I drop them. So this season I’m going with zero knowledge/expectations about most of the shows.

      • skylion says:

It is best to go in with little expectations. Just let it entertain you, if it doesn’t. No big.

        • Namika says:

Nooooo~ I have to know every detail about what I’m watching to be able to predict everything! 😀

          • skylion says:

That way works to. It can lead to grief of sorts, but my method can to; sticking with shows to the biter end.

          • BlackBriar says:

No way! Then that kills the fun of wanting to know what comes next.

          • Highway says:

I’m actually really bad at these previews, because I’m just not that interested in what’s coming in the future. I’m interested in what’s here now. It’s the same way in WoW: Other people are all “This is coming in the next patch / expansion! All this new stuff!” and I’m more “I’m playing this game in front of me right now. I’m not playing some future game that’s not here.”

So I watch what comes on, and if it amuses and entertains me, I’m happy. If it doesn’t, I’m less likely to watch it next time.

            • Highway says:

Of course, I kind of need new anime to come out soon, before my fingers fall off from playing Rocksmith 2014. Seriously, Iron Maiden AND Muse DLC song packs? They’re trying to kill me!

      • Soliia says:

Haha, I haven’t really looked into any of the stuff this season either, so hopefully my expectations won’t leave me disappointed.

  4. MgMaster says:

I must be one of the very few people that still wish for Bones to make a 3rd sequel of Darker than Black or better yet, a prequel.

    • Foshizzel says:

Nope I am one of those people too hahaha

    • Sumairii says:

Third sequel? Surely you mean second season. Because all that’s out is one season of Darker than Black. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

    • Kyokai says:

Didn’t the Gaiden OVAs sealed the deal in terms of story? I don’t think there is anything left after that.

      • Sumairii says:

The OVAs helped bridge the first season to the second season, which does not exist. But the second season, which does not exist, did absolutely nothing to wrap up loose ends from the first season. Instead, it just gave us even more questions.

        • MgMaster says:

I didn’t think it was that bad once you saw the 4 OVAs(which were great). If nothing else, it did showed Hei in a different light and,IMO,gave him more depth. Besides that, it showed us that he can still kick ass even without his contractor powers. The action was just as awesome as the 1st season & the OVAs.

Of course,we all know the biggest downside was miss 13 year old pink haired mahou shoujo that has probably the most ridiculous contracter power that made me roll my eyes whenever she was “summoning it”. I wouldn’t say she was a bad character but we already had much better heroines(hi Yin).

I remember there being a solid rumor about 2 years ago or so of a prequel featuring the events in South America and that would be the best thing to do if you ask me. We’d get to see how everything started, get a few of questions answered and get to know more about Hei’s sister,as well as Amber. Alas,it seemed to have been nothing more than a rumor 🙁

        • Kyokai says:

I hated Suo period. I only watched season two because of Hei.

  5. Irenesharda says:

It amazes me how many shows you guys can follow. However, I applaud you. I can barely do 7 to 8 shows at once because of my schedule, but then again, I only watch things that either catch my eye or I happened to really like the plot of. Of course, I keep to the 3 episode rule. 😉

    • Namika says:

Well, there’s not much of a point watching something you don’t really enjoy, right??? That’s why I don’t feel as bad for dropping shows as I usually do 😀

      • Sumairii says:

Exactly. To repeat Namika’s words, it doesn’t matter how many or how few shows you watch; just make sure you enjoy them.

    • BlackBriar says:

Thanks for the applause. A lot can be done, it’s just that a certain amount of time would be needed. I can hold on to more than 15 shows per season. And besides, it’s doubtful all the shows are going to watched because since new seasons are a trial and error period, some are going to be dropped.

    • skylion says:

I usually work around 45 to 50 hours a week. I do creative writing, I scour news and politics blogs, and I date and engage with my family on a regular basis. I go full hilt. Watching 30 shows this season is just the thing I do.

  6. skylion says:

22 + 8 from last season. And I start new job training soon.

    • Highway says:

I ended up dropping about 4 from last season, so only ended up with 26 or 27. I haven’t counted from this season, I’ll just try everything.

    • akagami says:

My comrades! 22 shows from last season that I kept (watching or finished), + 5 dropped. Now I don’t feel like I’m crazy anymore for picking up so many shows.

      • BlackBriar says:

Should you feel crazy at all for picking up so many shows? I think not. You’re just taking them for a test run and dropping those that don’t fit your interest. There’s no shame in that.

        • akagami says:

But it still feels more comfortable knowing that you’re not the only one diving into the deep-end ^^

  7. akagami says:

So if you haven’t noticed (or likely didn’t care ^^), I’m back! As usual, I’ve decided to drown myself in more shows than I can possibly watch, well, because, I enjoy anime.

    Yes! Watching!
Neppuu Kairiku Bushi Road: Good character designs and premise seems interesting. I haven’t watched Trinity Blood though, since it comes from the same creator. Is it good BlackBriar?
Seitokai Yakuindomo*: An excellent 4-koma comedy with dirty humor. If you like comedy and don’t mind perverted jokes and haven’t checked out the original and OVAs, well, what are you waiting for?
Nobunaga the Fool: Satelight + Sci-fi +Kawamori Shōji (Escaflowne, Aquarion, Macross 7/Frontier) + All-Star cast = Huge potential.
Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta: At a glance I’m reminded of Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku. although I’m sure they have little in common. I also enjoyed Last Exile and Allison to Lillia (also plane oriented series), so eagerly looking forward to this.
D-Frag!: School-life? Check. Comedy? Check. Tell me no more.
Nourin: School Life + Romance + Comedy? Why yes! Plus Silver Link is involved, so anticipation meter = +++
Mikakunin de Shinkoukei: Similar reasons as above. Auto shoe-in, plus it has a catchy PV.
Mahou Sensou: I’m a fan of the fantasy genre, so this has me interested. Two of the characters remind me of Saber and Gilgamesh, which isn’t a bad thing. BTW, anyone else looking forward to the Fate/Stay Night reboot? YAY! I’m like the only person who liked Fate/Stay Night > Fate/Zero.
Nisekoi: I haven’t checked out the manga, but I’ve been meaning to try it out. Gangster mangas with school-life settings have usually scored high in my book (e.g. Yankee to Megane-Kun), so, watching!
Wake Up, Girls!: I ♥ Idol shows, Love Live and Idolmaster were excellent! Even AKB0048 was good, which I was hesitant to try but eventually did based on the recommendation of the people here.
Wizard Barristers Benmashi Cecil: My fireball can beat your fireball. This looks to have strong animation. Fantasy/futuristic setting looks promising, want to see where this goes.
Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha.: I enjoyed Gingitsune, and this looks to be of a similar vein.

    Maybe? The two-episode test~
Double Circle Top: I’m conflicted. While I didn’t like Gatchaman, it had a pretty good animation style and it’s carrying over here. On the other hand, the government and Toshiba are involved. It’s either going to be decent or bomb spectacularly. Anyone taking bets?
Robot Girls Z: Moe-gundams? It sounds silly enough that it might just be entertaining. And granted it’s only 10 minutes, it’ll be a relatively pain-free test drive.
Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga.: Normally I would check this out without any hesitation, but after the second season or Oreimo and Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!, I’ve started to shy away from imouto-romance shows. But hey, maybe this’ll be something good. (Maybe)
Nobunagun: Doesn’t seem like anything special. The last historical based show I enjoyed was Oda Nobuna no Yabou, where it shares a common theme. On the negative side, it comes from the same studio as Devil Survivor 2 (which I was severely disappointed with).
Witch Craft Works: It sounds weird, but on the + side it has J.C. staff (overall good, most of the time) and a good director (Girls und Panzer), so hmmm.
SPACE☆DANDY: When I read that title, I’ve strongly reminded of Star Driver (100% FABUUUUUUULOOOUUUSSSS-ness). But the animation style looks meh, but it had a strong team behind it, so let’s flip a coin, shall we?
Noragami: The series overview doesn’t tell me much, besides being something I’ll check out. BONES is behind it and it looks interesting enough that I’ll at least see how it goes.
Buddy Complex: I’ve been rewatching Seed and YAY KIRA YAY. I’ve been disappointed with the recent kiddy-Gundam shows as well as Gundam 00, along with the recent batch of mecha anime (besides Valvrave), but this might turn out to be better.
Hamatora THE ANIMATION: I’m hoping this turns out similar to Un-Go. It’s mystery though, and I usually don’t like that genre, so we’ll have to see.
Onee-chan ga Kita: Usually comedy + 4-koma + slice-of-life = win, but the unknown studio and weak PV have me doubting. Prove me wrong, Onee-chan, prove me wrong!
GO! GO! 575: Things it has going for it: Oreimo character designs and there’s singing. On the negative side? Sega (can they even make a decent anime???) I’m reminded of a console anime that I think Sega was behind that was just plain horrible (not Hyperdimension Neptunia, which I enjoyed – I still need to play the game that’s sitting over there)
Z/X IGNITION: I’m not sure how I feel about a card-game inspired game. Looks promising enough. On a related note, if you like card games and D&D check out cardhunters (cardhunters.com). It’s F2P and lots of fun! The paid portions are for extra adventures and cosmetic stuff, you can fully enjoy the game without paying! Definitely A+.
Sekai Seifuku ~Bouryaku no Zvezda~: I don’t know what to expect, and the intro and CMs don’t really shed any light either way. But the designs are decent and the storyline is ok, so I’ll check out the first few episodes at least.

So a total of 25 shows that I’m going to check out, with half undecided. Whew. And I remember a time when I was pretty much caught up with only one show on backlog. Sigh. So much to watch and so little time.

    • BlackBriar says:

I haven’t watched Trinity Blood though, since it comes from the same creator. Is it good BlackBriar?

Apparently I’ve become the highest authority and consultant of vampire animes on this site… Sweet!!! 😀 Yeah, Trinity Blood is a very solid series thanks to its story, characters and animation (which is pretty good considering by 2014, it will have been almost 9 years since its initial airing ever). I haven’t seen it in Japanese but I can say the Funimation dub was excellent.

You’ll like the characters (Favorites: Abel, Esther, Ion and Astharoshe) at lot and will want to start rooting for a particular ship (Esther and Ion). Not to mention what makes Trinity Blood unique is that it has some elements that involve space and that the lead Abel Nightroad is a Crusnik (A vampire that feeds on other vampires).

Fellow commenter Irenesharda has seen it, giving it some props and I even managed to get Karakuri to take a look and she said she enjoyed it. So with this, I can say I recommend this to everyone and if you ever get the chance, marathon through the whole show. You won’t regret it.

      • akagami says:

Indeed you have BB, indeed you have…

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… I might just need to add a few episodes to start off then.

    • d-LaN says:

not Hyperdimension Neptunia, which I enjoyed – I still need to play the game that’s sitting over there

Just wondering, which HDN game did you own? If you own the first one….. Well, lemme warn you first tht the gameplay isn’t exactly the best part of it so be prepared. If it isn’t, there Re:Birth 1 which is a remake of the 1st game with updated gameplay.

Several chapters of the Hamatora manga is out in chinese if you can read that. I don’t think its similar to Un-Go though.

Regarding Z/X, frm wht the few comments of those who played the card game it seems tht its a good card game and the plot pretty good. There a manga adaptation but I haven’t seen any translated scans yet. There also a spin-off PS3 game made by NIS tht NISA will most likely never pick up T_T

On an unrelated note, did you know that Million Arthur is getting translated? I have seen the manga and the plot pretty good. Will check out the cardhunter thing some time too.

      • Kyokai says:

Hamatora being a multi-media project, I’m not sure if the manga will follow the same story as in anime; though, there hasn’t been any proper announcement on it. I’m reminded of K manga, which had additional stories than the anime.

        • akagami says:

K!!!! That reminds me, when is season 2 coming??? 〈(゜。゜)

It started off silly, but I really got into it as time went on.

          • BlackBriar says:

From what I remember, [K] was supposed to have a second season but the staff changed their mind and decided to continue the story with a movie and it’s set to be released sometime in 2014.

            • akagami says:

I can live with a movie. Yes, I think I can.

            • Kyokai says:

Movie is actually better than S2. Not a lot of story to tell really. Btw, you guys should check out the K manga, it’s very short.

      • akagami says:

I had to check, its mk2. I think that’s the second game of the series.

        • d-LaN says:

I see, thk for the input. And don’t worry abt the first game plot since mk2 is a reboot with new continuity.

    • Kyokai says:

BTW, anyone else looking forward to the Fate/Stay Night reboot? YAY! I’m like the only person who liked Fate/Stay Night > Fate/Zero.

Well, I am because hell, this story needs a proper studio animating it (ufotable). I like the actual Fate/stay night VN and let me tell you the anime does not do it justice and thus you see many fans scoffing at it. With two arcs (FSN and UBW), already animated by Dean, there’s a higher chance that the new project will be Heaven’s feel, the last route of the VN. Though, they can always make a reboot of the whole thing because it would make sense after Fate/Zero. Anyways, excited as hell and looking forward to more news on this.

  8. akagami says:

Damn you spammy, it ate like 4 of my comments today while I’m on my posting spree. Booo.

  9. Hime says:

    (ノ✪ヮ✪)ノ*:・゚✧ Witch Craft Works!

  10. skylion says:

Calling them like I see them. Any discrepancy in reality is blamed on Mrs. Walker’s son, Johnny.

    Action Fantasy Sci-fi Club.

Norgmai: Bones, Kamiyan!, Yukian! And my Maaya Uchida. I don’t care what this is even about. I just want to hear these folks have fun.

Space Dandy: This just looks so overhype. But it has the pedigree to back it up. These folks know funky cool. Listening to the OP now.

Nobunagun: Holy Holy Holy Crap. This just looks sooooo stoooopid. But I love it. The idea is ballsy and weird and odd. Bridge has mostly done side work, and the only thing I see them fully involved in is the Mitsudomoe S2. And I freekin’ loove Mitsudome. So I hope we see something infectious.

Witch Craft Works: I generally like the stuff JC does. And as HWY points out, it has GuP cred behind it. The set up is typical, but you can still make a good show from that very basic trope.

Mahou Sensou: I can’t get a bead on this one yet. But I’ll give it a try.

Nobunaga thhe Fool. Two words. Shoji Kawamori. I am so HYPE! I loved Aquarion to bits, and even thou it was so lulzy, 00 is one of my favorite franchises. This guy knows how to have fun. I’m calling this the runaway insane show of the season.

Wizard Barristers: Umetsu is a rather wretched storyteller. His Kite/Mezzo work is just horrible stuff. I didn’t catch the name when he did Galilei Donna, but that show was just a massive wreck in terms of direction. So this show I am gonna give a hard three episode test. The PV looks awesome, so hence my attraction despite my reservations.

Sekai Seifuku. Anime of the Season. Calling it. EVIL LOLi OVERLORD. The LOLi Defender is called to duty. Reporting January 11th.

    • Kyokai says:

First 10 minutes of Space Dandy are out and subbed by Commie, once the time was over, I literally checked my player to see why the hell it stopped at that point. Man, I need more. Also this:

    • Foshizzel says:

Space Dandy: I can’t wait to have a dandy time yooooooooooo

Witch Craft Works: JC Staff and magic? HELL YA! Thats what they do best <3

Nobunaga the Foo: YES PLEASE 😀 😀 😀

Wizard Barristers: MOAR MAGIC FIGHTING GIRLS WOOOOO!!

Sekai Seifuku. Anime of the Season. Calling it. EVIL LOLi OVERLORD. The LOLi Defender is called to duty. Reporting January 11th.

Evil Loli will dominate the winter season.

  11. skylion says:

Why yes. I’ll have a second Johnny Walker Black Tall with Soda please.

RomComSlice. Yeah, this is my wheelhouse.

Gin no Saji 2: I let my parents watch a few episodes of this show. Long story short, both of them laughed like loons when they hit that bear with the truck. So this show has some deepness in my heart. Now, they give me an S2. S3 when?

Seitokai Yakuindomo: Hellz Yez! More SYD. This is Go Hands thing. Coppelion? No way. K. Not even. Golden Shower jokes, and pointers to where Suzu’s head is is all I need.

Chuunibyou 2: Yeah, there was this first season. And I guess it was kinda cool. Maybe I’ll give this new one a whirl. It’s not like it was my favorite show of 2012.

NiseKoi: I’ve read some of the manga. And it is a scream. Give it to me now.

Sakura Trick. The Yuri is strong in this one.

ImoCho: Well, this one can either be another OniAii or it can be trash. Three episode rule.

No-rin: Huge vocal talent. Oonuma as director, and Silver Link. No reason I should not be here.

Mikakunin: I’ll give it a shot.

  12. zztop says:

You guys follow a LOT of titles each season!

I’ve only followed 2-4 for each season this year alone…

    • Sumairii says:

Some of us have an insatiable appetite for this stuff. =)

      • BlackBriar says:

I fully support this statement. It’s our kind of multitasking. 😀

    • Foshizzel says:

Yep my tastes over the years has opened the doors to new anime that I would normally skip! So yeaaah I keep adding more and more anime to my watchlist every season LOL

    • Kyokai says:

Oh the stuff I watch these days from my limited list to when I started. No worries, time will open the many new doors to you zztop. 😉

    • d-LaN says:

A lot of time I ended up with more than what I can chew though ._.

  13. Kyokai says:

    The Outcasts Lair.

Wake up, girls!: Idols again? Well I am a sucker for anime idols, so this is worth a shot. But at this point, I’m wondering if Yakaman can just save his job?

Inari, konkon, Koi iroha: What does the Kitsune say? Kon Kon Kon. Yeah, this has skylion written all over it. The PV makes it feel a bit like Gingitsune meets Tamayura.

To Aru Hikuushi: I have the film in my backlog, and the aviation aspect really interests me. It’s good to know they looked outside for a military expert, cause that bit of credibility did to good for GuP.

Hoozuki no Reitetsu: I might be on the fence about this one, Kyo-sama. I get a general feel for some forced humor. But, I am ready for surprises. I like this sort of blend.

D-Frag! As Sum, says, it does have some rather stiff competition with SYD2. But I love a good genre fight. The cast is just delicious, and Brains Base does very pretty stuff.

    Shorts, Specials, OVA, Films.

Tonari no Seki-kun. It looks fun. Let imagination go wild.

Toei Robot Girls Z. No, I’m not a mecha fan from way back. But it’s moe now. Moe is cool.

Pupipo! I’ve already seen the first two shorts, and I very much enjoy the quality so far.

YOZA-Quar! My favorite show of the Fall 2013 season. So yes, champing at the bit.

Machine Doll Specials. Sum? Are we this M? I dunno.

SAO Extra Edition. I need a sandwhich.

Kyoukai no Kanata: I like the show well enough to follow the shorts.

The Sunday without God. I really like most of this show, despite it’s lulzy ways.

Little Busters EX. Cause the eroge will make the melodrama better?

    Utopia. Yes, will have.

Soul Eater. I am a fan of the original show, I’m mildly interested in what the feel is their Best.

    Little Witch Academia. Oh, yes.

Amazing Twins: Junichi and Okada. I’m there.

Prism Ilya. This is good 2wei would be better…

    Films:

    iDOLM@STER. Yes, please yes.

Mouretsu Pirates. It cannot come quickly enough….

    • Foshizzel says:

Excellent choices and boy I can’t wait for the Mouretsu Pirates and the iDOLM@STER movies <3 <3

    • Kyokai says:

No worries about Hoozuki. I’m kind of on the sidelines for this as well.

      • skylion says:

I’m getting to many Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san vibes from it. Which is fine, but that show was just to darn much at times. I think Hoozuki is cut from different cloth.

        • Kyokai says:

Actually, it’s devoid of Azazel-san humour, rather its a tongue-in-cheek humour over Japanese heroes. You shall see. xD

    • d-LaN says:

Cause the eroge will make the melodrama better?

What you are abt to enter is Tokido Saya arc/route which is generally considered as one of the best character/route of LB! or so the VN readers says. At the very least, you get Harumi Sakurai aka Yurippe VA voice. I’m also interested in Sashimi arc since she kinda disappeared in Refrain and her antics is entertaining. Not sure abt Kanata though.

      Junichi and Okada. I’m there.

For me, its the character design done by Takehito Harada (Disgaea series character design) ^_^

      • skylion says:

Oh, I’m a sucker for LB! at this point. I’m calling it a guilty pleasure now. So EX is not off the list.

And yeah, I got the Disgaea vibes of Amazing Twins.

  15. Di Gi Kazune says:

Nanoha is charging her Starlight Breaker EX for leaving her off the seiyuu list.

  16. Di Gi Kazune says:

Hrrmmm… Noticed something interesting in the Spring 2014 lineup and will instead devote anticipation to it…

Shana as GOD. It should appeal to all the imouto-lolicons out there. 😛

    • skylion says:

Dragon Academy? I know it has like LOLi in it, but they are gonna have to try harder. It looks like warmed over Familiar of Zero. And that is not something you want served as leftovers….

    • Sumairii says:

I believe he is referring to No Game No Life. That is the only Spring show for which Kugimiya Rie has a credited role (so far). Although she does not play the imouto in that show, so Di Gi might be confusing characters.

      • Di Gi Kazune says:

Read the cast list carefully and see who she is voicing.
        Sora is Francois
        Shiro is Chiara
The ButtMonkey is the crazed Gabriella from Cuticle Detective. And breaks the association curve.
Jibril (Gabriella) is not from Cuticle Detective but rather THE BEFRIENDER. (or Tiriel to restart the association)
Yuka Iguchi played Usada Akari from Di Gi Charatnyo.
Mamiko Noto is better known as Hecate.
        Puchiko-nyu. Doesn’t need to say more-nyu.
So that leaves Shana playing a boy. who happens to be GOD.

The last time I can remember Yukari + Rie + Miyuki is a decade ago from a show which the gravatar is hinting at.

      • Di Gi Kazune says:

        /kicks spamcatcher yet again.

Actually, I lie, the last one is Otogi Jushi Akazukin according to the Excel spreadsheet. As Akazukin, Ringo and Ibarahime respectively.

  17. Highway says:

Oh, for everyone’s reference, hashi at hashihime.blogspot.com has made his weekly calendar of when shows air:

  18. sonicsenryaku says:

supposedly there not gonna go for the love triangle route in this season of chuu2koi

    • Highway says:

That’s fine with me. I’d love to just see more “let’s get them together” between Rikka and Yuuta, although of course they’ll drag it out far longer than I want them to.

Hugs and Smooches from first episode!

      • skylion says:

It’s going be more of dat Pinky Touchy in the first episode. Since they are supposed to be sharing a home, we might see the return of Toothbrush-chan.

    • Sumairii says:

Knowing how much original material the first season turned out to have, I can see Kyoani doing this. Which would be just fine. =)

      • skylion says:

I’ve read both LN’s and it does have some triangle aspects to it; but then, it doesn’t in some cases. Satone had her own odd ball agenda in the second volume. It looks like Dekomori pretty much has that personality of Satone stiched up, so I am scratching my head wondering how they are gonna play her off.

Plus, Nagatsuma Juri playing a potential genki, after her dry witty performance in Tamako Market as Kanna ought to be of interest. Which means she has to play a team member of some sort in Railgun/Index, cause all the cool KyoAni VA’s are doing that.

    • BlackBriar says:

It would be something if an anime like that didn’t go for the love triangle route.

  19. MR.KLAC says:
