Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai S2 – 10

Bridget riles up Ayase

There’s always a party on OreImo.

spring13-highwThis week OreImo delves back into the Kirino side of the cast, with Ayase, Kanako, and Kirino all playing big roles. So how did this week turn out?

Ayase doesn’t know her own feelings

Typical Ayase and Kyousuke

Ayase plays a big part in this episode, because she can’t figure out how to be honest with herself about Kyousuke. It really seems like she wants more out of him, and like Kirino she likes the attention from him. But she’s also craaaaaaaazy! Upset when Kyousuke stops sexually harassing her when he starts going out with Kuroneko, and then upset that she wasn’t the reason he broke up with Kuroneko. I think she needs to sit down and figure out what she’s up to. But she’ll have a fresh start, because Kyousuke offers his apologies for any misunderstandings before from his repeated saying he loves her and wondering if she was confessing to him. Looks like they’ve got some opportunity coming up to understand each other better.

Dropping everything for Kirino

Who has bike wheels that need to be censoredBut Kirino likes them

Pretty scandalous wheels there, but Kirino likes them

Ayase drops off the map halfway through the episode, tho, because Kirino needs help. And really, this part of the episode is just reinforcing, and maybe advancing, the bond between Kirino and Kyousuke. They threw in some nice touches, like Mikagami’s perverted Meruru bike, and Misaki butchering the wedding dress that Kirino was wearing. Although I didn’t really get how they’d just agree to waste the dress, since I’d think it would be a considerable cost. How much does this pull Kirino toward Kyousuke? And does it change it from her normal feeling of wanting to dominate his attention to something more devoted to him? I don’t know if it’s a step towards the ending, but it could be (and I know that the last LN is out now, please use spoiler tags if you HAVE to say something about it in the comments).

Maybe not the best friend for Koki to make

Koki, I think you fell in with the wrong person…

This turned out to be another one of those episodes where not a lot happened overall, it was more depth than distance. And most of the depth was in Kirino and Kyousuke’s relationship. Did it set up more of Kirino and Kyousuke? Or is that look Ayase’s giving Kyousuke as he runs off a portent of more?

I wonder how many people gonna rage when the BD release doesn’t uncensor DEM WHEELS? Something tells me the fan base won’t appreciate that form of mild roasting..

Geez, Oreimo, you really know how to lead us down all those paths and get us good and angry at times. I mean, would Kyousuke do what he did for Kuroneko? That is what was on my mind, that shoulda been Kuro’s ride along the sunset?

Ayase. Yes, this is one character that needs to re-evaluate. Getting off the high horse may be the first step. But she should be wary, the handcuffs can only go so far…

I’m actually interested less in seeing what the censoring was covering and more in what would get Mikagami to ride a bike that needs censoring on the wheel covers. With training wheels. I mean, geez.

I don’t know if comparing his reactions to Kirino and Kuroneko in the same kind of situation is informative. I mean, I don’t know if anyone would do that for their girlfriend of a week, or a friend they just know.

Something about Ayase: even if she changes her opinion of Kyousuke, can she change her basic nature in her actions? I doubt it, considering how yandere-in-training she acts towards Kirino…

Calling Ayase crazy is an understatement to say the least. Making weird expressions and lashing out at the simplest of things. I’m sure she’s bipolar and that desire to be the reason behind Kyousuke’s troubles is a clear sign of masochism.

If Mikagami brought that bike and the studio took it upon itself to censor the tires then I’m curious as to what goes on in his head. The guy doesn’t fit the pervert persona.

More oddly sweet interactions between Kyousuke and Kirino. These two get so close sometimes that it’s hard to think of them as siblings. However, I wished that bike ride was between Kyousuke and Kuroneko. Kyousuke looked a lot better here with current hairstyle. He should keep it like that more often.

I didn’t just call her crazy. I called her craaaaaaaazy! If I could have gotten away with crAAAAaaaAAaaaAAAzy!!! I would have done it.

Bleh, I personally dislike that slicked back hairstyle that these guys always go to when it’s dress up time. At least Kyousuke looks better than either Kodaka or Muroto-kun (from Kotoura-san).

    True dat, all the way.

Ayase is a pistol packer that is for sure. She does play the squeeze box late at night..
