fall12-foshWelcome back awesome readers/listeners! Yes, I should start saying that from now on! Anyway this time you can sit back and listen to me and Jrow talk about the events of this crazy episode and sadly we only have two more episodes left until the end of Robotic;Notes, which makes me sad. But I hope the ending is something heartwarming and fun.

Subaru-”This Kyokai person keeps sending me tweets with hearts…”

AHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA! Well, because I’m worried that he’s not recovering well! :3

Everything tastes good with Heinz Tomato Ketchup~

  3. JPNIgor says:

This bird is as ugly as Ryuuji’s bird on Toradora.

“Mai waifu, whom I only knew in 2D, became 3D and fell from the sky!” -> Best quote ever. I still want to know how she says such amazing things on moments like that.

    • skylion says:

      …cause she is boss..

Yeah, that line. How does one even top it.

    • Foshizzel says:

Ahahahah yeah that bird from Toradora!

Frau quotes are gifts from the heavens <3

      • skylion says:

Inko-chan even got a raw deal in the anime. Between Taiga antagonizing it, and being ugly, damn bird can’t catch a break.

And why are we picking on this one? That bird saved a loli’s life. I’m willing to call for sainthood….

        • Foshizzel says:

Oooh I am just picking on how random and odd it was to have that bird fly over to Airi and stop her from shooting herself? It just felt way out there…course that said we have ghost AI’s that control and haunt people via the internet as is the case with Misa in the past and present, not to mention giant robots so I guess the bird thing works but it still felt odd eve for Robotic;Notes.

          • skylion says:

I agree. It saved a loli, one that brought Frau such delight. It’s St. Bird now.

            • JPNIgor says:

He has a name, doesn’t he?

I don’t know but I think that an AI that is connected to the whole world would be able to “see” a bird coming from behind them…

I didn’t think that the suit was being controlled at all. I thought that it was straight up mind control, in that Misaki couldn’t override the mind control that Kimijima had over her, even though she tried.

A lot of people have been complaining about this episode of R;N. It was corny, the bird was just unbelievable, Aki’s speech was eyerollingly cheesy, everyone coming to help was silly, Doc having made a pile bunker just to have hanging around, etc. But I thought that this episode was really in keeping with the rest of the show. Yeah, Aki’s speech was corny, but she’s corny! That’s what she is: Good vs Evil, Justice vs. Wrongdoing, and giant robots. She doesn’t really have anything else. So if something needs fixing, she’s only got one tool – a giant robot. And dammit she’s going to use it.

And yeah, everyone coming to help is kind of a “yeah, right”, but it’s *real enough*. Basically, they saw the stream that Kimijima said he was going to kill them all. So are they gonna sit around waiting for it to happen? Or are they gonna at least try to help Aki? The show isn’t using superhuman moves (yet, I expect Kai’s ability to show up before the end, tho), it’s just using a lot of humans. So even though it’s a show about giant robots, it’s really still on a human scale.

Misaki has been enduring a fate I wouldn’t wish on anyone. She did what was on the one side a right thing to do to save the passengers only to be tormented by a lunatic. The setting is like being stalked by a ghost out for revenge.

Kimijima Kou is such a bastard and like I said last post, he has second place for best villain of 2013. I think he got away into the net as a feedback when she destroyed the controls. Also him being the one who played the Kagome Kagome theme when Mizuka died to make Misaki suffer.

Aki’s speech was a bit too self righteous, corny and over the top for me. There was trouble trying to tolerate it. She says she’s going to these things but she better hopes she doesn’t write a check her mouth can’t cash. I really want to know what the Robotics Club plans to do with the Gun Pro 1. New parts on an old model is bound to have irregularities. The principal, Subaru’s dad and everyone coming over to help was last thing in my mind I thought would happen.

Yes, more Frau. It’s always a pleasure to have her. I swear she gets wackier every time we see her. “M-Making his senior apologize and become his slave… I-In a sexual way! What eroge is this?” Where does she come up with this stuff? Looks like she loves lolis, too. It’s Airi so no one can blame her. Waifu! I love her even more.

    • Highway says:

Not like there’s gonna be anyone around to complain if Aki’s boasts don’t come true. So they’re the best kind to make.

Kimijima was trying to upload himself anyway, I don’t think it was a mistake. It was just partially interrupted, plus he didn’t actually plan to die.

I think people have the wrong idea about what monopoles do. They’re able to allow for smaller but more powerful motors (not engines), that help reduce the weight on the robot. They don’t generate power, and they’re not necessarily more powerful. They might have a higher field strength (or it could be lower, we don’t really know). But their nature of having only a single pole allows for smaller motors.
