As disappointing as it may be, the Girls und Panzer OVA eschews tank battles for swimwear antics in a half-length episode that was mainly about showing off the girls in increasingly bizarre swimwear. I can’t help but have fun when a show takes a simple but nifty concept and runs with it, pushing it to its limits like this. I’m having a hard time picking a favorite from between the history club’s more and more revealing outfits and the volleyball club’s volleyball-inspired “things” that could hardly be called swimsuits. Saemonza’s first outfit, the red loincloth, had a beautiful simplicity. Also, even though it hides her beautiful hair, that backwards cap on Yukari is criminally sexy.
And Anzu keeps on shining. From her initial non-explanation of why they were going to the beach – on which Momo called her out immediately – to her cheering on the girls at the swimsuit store from her beach chair, the prez continued to show her carefree approach to leadership that I find so charming. Also, thanks in part to the 1080p Bluray resolution, this episode was gorgeous, impressive considering that it had no action. 1080p anime has been with us for a while now, but too few have actually used the extra pixels for more than smoothing out lines. In this episode, the level of detail in the background characters was at times stunning, to the point of being disconcerting due to how different it looked from regular anime. Girls und Panzer has been famously panty-shot free (except when not), and this OVA is an excellent treat for those fans who have been craving the missing fanservice.

Today is a sad time for ToLoveRu Darkness fans because we have reached the final episode of this ecchi roller coaster or you could check out the uncensored manga? So last time Mea tried to assassinate Tearju and failed horribly, but you can just credit that towards Rito and his friends messing things up oh and Yami finally met Tearju! Aside from last week this episode follows mostly Momo and her internal battle about her true feelings for Rito or was she just lonely without him at the house? He did leave for a few days to help his dad work on his manga. Part of me thinks that her grand harem plan is of course backfiring on her because she is falling in love with Rito! That or she just loves to treat him like her personal toy? I know this week she was having all kinds of daydreams/fantasies about the two of them becoming more than close friends. Sadly the anime series bounced around a lot so we won’t get to see a things like Mea’s true master, Yami and Tearju working things out or more about Momo’s harem plan for Rito?
All I know is then again the manga is still running so they could throw out another twelve episodes in the future! I don’t know much about the bluray sales for this series. So what was your take on this anime series? Did you like it? Personally I like watching all these characters every week even though most fans consider ToLoveRu darkness as borderline hentai with every passing episode; however I think we all need some type of mindless entertainment every now and then.

Whoa! That was a whole three minutes of nothing special, but the idea of two different shows crossing over (just they are the same) was always a cool idea to me! Then again what series have really done it well? I can only recall two episodes of Sket Dance/Gintama, Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi/Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu, One Piece/Toriko and countless Precure movies that bring back old magical girls from past seasons…so what crossover would you love to see happen? I still want my Kore wa zombie x c3.

I actually really enjoyed To-LOVE-Ru: Darkness. I thought it took the story a lot farther than most harem shows by actually working the harem into the story, as a harem. Momo’s Harem Keikaku was a brilliant idea, although the question starts to be could she actually live with it? Or does she now want Rito all to herself?
In this episode, I did think that Momo’s self-stimulation was really on the edge for a ‘normal’ show, although Nana walking in on her was amusing.
I’d like to see this get another season. I thought both stories (the harem plan and the Nemesis / Mea story) held up for the type of show it was, and that they still have a ways to go. As evidence that the story actually has some legs, I’m finding it worth watching the BD’s (like I mentioned last week), because it’s not *just* for the uncensored parts, there’s still the story to be a little interesting.

I know right?! Aside from all the sexual themes Darkness has a really interesting story thanks to Momo’s idea of a harem for Rito, yeah I kind of figured eventually her plan would backfire because she developed feelings for Rito.

Yeah from the manga perspective this episode was kind of the halfway point? They eventually reveal Mea's master, but yeah hopefully they do get another season.

Girls und Panzer – OVA: I can see how this ended up on MetaFap. Swimsuit episode for Girls und Panzer? Hmm… I guess it can work, almost every anime has one but at least it’s serving to ease the wait for the last two episodes. However, I didn’t expect it to be so short. The good thing is even though they’re checking out swimwear, there’s still tank referencing going on. You got to love their dedication but man, did they have some weird choices. The girl covered in bandages had me cracking up.

To Love-Ru Darkness – 12 [END]: Sadly, it’s ended even though it’s to be expected. I have hope of another season rolling by due to unanswered questions. Personally, this is my first To Love-Ru series and I loved every moment of it. What I like about it is their fearlessness of pushing the genre limits to near hentai territory. For example: Momo caressing her own tail and the numerous encounters where you’d think they were going to engage in intercourse. The only downside was the detestable censors.
For someone trying to set Rito up with a harem of girls, Momo is pretty nervous. I’ve never seen her like this which is weird for a person who’s usually bold in her advances. While there’s a main reason for making the Harem Plan come to pass, Momo might be using it to hide her insecurities. Now she’s wondering if it’s worth it or if she should cut her losses and keep Rito for herself.
One of the laughs was how blindly loyal that so-called Momo fan club was. They’d probably jump off a cliff if she said the word.

This was my first TLR series as well, and it really was enjoyable. Now I’m almost hesitant to go back to the other ones because 1) no / less Momo, 2) less story, more boob groping.
I felt that Momo’s change was because she had personally really fallen for Rito (just like everyone else). At the beginning of the series, her idea for the Harem Plan was that it was a way for all the girls that love Rito to stay with him, and for him to love them all. And while she liked him at the time, and included herself, she didn’t feel as much for him as others. That’s what I think changed, that she really fell hard for Rito. I don’t think it really changes the Harem Plan, but it does make the fan club be really interfering.
And we’ve seen those kind of guys before: the ones I remember most were in Shuffle!. Seriously, who uses 3 K’s as the name for your club?

Yeah word of advice the other ToLoveRu’s are nothing but Rito pushed into girls every time,but I can’t really remember if there was much of a story? I know Rito meets Lala’s father and has to “fight” him because he plans to destroy the earth? Then again that happened at the end so they never got the chance to explore that story.
Momo’s plan kind of backfired on her big time! She probably had no idea that she would fall in love with him, but Rito has eyes for Haruna or does he? He really never tried to make any moves on her for 12 whole episodes? I guess the script writers prefer Momo x Rito or Lala x Rito even though she never got close to him at all! Besides screwing things up with her inventions…

Can anyone show me a link to watch this? The girl in the first picture strikes me more as a combination of Miu and Mouretsu Pirates’ Marika. Kore wa Zombie and C³: Cube x Cursed x Curious crossover. That would be another perfect match. All we can do is hope.

Yeah I have seen all of that queens blade series and pirate girl has a flying ship filled with undead pirates, but she only appeared like twice? Yeah she could be a perverted Marika LOL

According to MAL at least, TLRD is doing remarkably, selling 10k combined BD/DVD, which is impressive for an ecchi/borderline H show. It clearly surpassed its previous seasons.
Sadly, there’s hardly enough material for it so a new season isn’t going to happen soon. Though give it a few more years and we might just have a new one given its popularity, the excellent BD sales and the boost in the manga sales. We just touched the part about Yami warming up to Rito and the others, the harem plan and the matter of Mea’s master, Nemesis. It was still a good ride even with sunbeam-chan and shadow-kun cockblocking(heh..) every single time.
