Time for another thrilling episode review of Kotoura-san! Two episodes in and I am addicted to this series, but I wonder how many people have dropped this? I know the dramatic parts are hard to get past especially with the first episode and a few scenes in the second episode? I dunno I am having fun. So what about you? Having fun watching the physic adventures of Haruka?

GAH! This episode made me so mad at Hiyori. I was hoping at the end Haruka would tell the whole class about what Hiyori did but of course that was against her nature. I wonder how Manabe and the rest of the club will find Haruka and bring her back. Why am I sensing friendship speeches in the future…

Same here I was also very mad at Hiyori! To think she would ask those karate guys to beat up on Manabe? What the hell? Sure he managed to survive, but how bad would she feel if they went to far and killed him? Sheesh…that girl has issues…
I have no idea how anyone could be friends with Hiyori after pulling such a stunt? Haruka better not forgive her to fast because DAMN!!

Manabe pulled a dark horse beating up 4 dojo trained fighters single handedly. Hiyori’s plan splendidly backfired on her and her despair was well deserved. That’s what happens when you’re not thinking clearly because of jealously and she’s lucky Kotoura had a heart and didn’t expose her for Manabe’s injuries. But after that act of forgiveness, I can start to see how she and Kotoura could start becoming friends (Indications shown by the OP).
What makes Kotoura’s situation so sad is that she’s been hurt so much by people that she’s afraid to let others in even if it’s those who mean well because she’s afraid she’ll be betrayed or indirectly cause problems for someone else and so she tries to keep her distance.
So despite his appearance, Muroto is pretty much acting like Yuriko’s big brother whenever her misadventures gets her into trouble. I originally thought it was the other way around. He also acts as if he’s her conscience like Jiminy Cricket is to Pinocchio digging into her thoughts telling her who she is from whom she’s pretending to be.

I had no idea that Manabe was such a boss at fighting? Thankfully he was able to defend himself, but what the hell is wrong with Hiyori? I swear the girl has some serious issues to work out…true how are they going to become friends given what we see in the op? I still don’t think Haruka could prove to anyone that Hiyori sent those guys to beat up Manabe because like I said who would believe that without any real prof or evidence?
Right she is so scared to let anyone close she just assumes leaving will fix the problems? I have to admit I was not happy with Haruka leaving so sudden T____T
Muroto is a interesting character and I do enjoy the moments when he gets serious around Yuriko~

Yeah, how much of a drama flag could Haruka have set with that “Now it’s so much fun and I’m so happy, and people aren’t slipping through my fingers…” Watching that scene, everyone’s cringing, saying “NOOOOOOO”
The show did a really great job with the suspense of the attack. Was it going to be Haruka? Was it going to be Manabe? Would something worse happen to Haruka (let’s be honest, anime has really been on a disgusting rape kick lately). And then when it turned out to be Manabe, that he could unleash his ‘skills’ on those guys and rough them up too was pretty cool. I definitely thought his skills that he was boasting in his head about in the first episode were just that: boasts of a guy who thinks he’s better than he is.
Now we’ll have to see how they get her back.

Yep! I was assuming it was going to be Hiyori against Haruka, but they went for Manabe and a bunch of random thugs sent by Hiyori!? That was shocking for me and good for Manabe for kicking their asses!
Yep now we have to wait for Haruka to return T____T
