Welcome back to another Aniblog Tourney related post and I won’t be taking much of your time because we are playing completely blind this time around. You heard that right. The poll results won’t be seen (separation percentage/count), except for total count. The winner will be revealed after the polls close in 48 hours. Weird change, you say? Well, I agree with you halfway.
In my previous updates, I wasn’t very forthcoming about the drama that Tourney causes in each turn just because, but it needs mentioning here as the organizers have taken a lot of steps (secured voting system with special scripts banning proxies and Tor), to tackle the supposed trolls, who have been rigging certain polls. Well, it’s nothing new and some people do take it more seriously than others but the hidden polls sure sends across a message.
Now for some, the continuous change could be a nuisance. I mean, let’s be honest, this is not a President Election with closed-door balloting. I personally don’t agree on this decision, which takes away excitement from the audience (whatever little’s left of it). Though, who knows some surprise discovery is made from it? That said, we have no plans to throw our towels just yet as the team and I agreed in the beginning for a fun-filled participation. We will continue to do so until a worthy opponent (all of the last 16 are), gives us a round-bye.
Our next opponent is Ogiue Maniax, and as I intended to say from the “Boeuf Bourguignion” tag before: a brilliant aniblogger who puts up unique analysis on different aspects of anime. Definitely check Ogi out and if you like what we have been doing since last four years, put a vote in! For the new incoming, check Unlimited Blog Works, which should suffice along with our content.

tbh, I can’t say I’m entirely pleased with hiding the results myself. We’ve had plenty of complaints about having them open because they effect how people will vote, but I liked the match being open because of the continuous interest it brought. Our hand was kinda forced on us with this one. It’s what ISML does though, so [shrug] what works for them

Open results always brought excitement, I guess this time; it will be centered around poll closure and sporadic campaigning.
Well, we are still very much playing so we’ll see by the end how effective this method is.

Well this is certainly a strange change in the Aniblog Tourney. Not knowing the poll results must be driving you guys crazy right now. How are you going to deal with the anxiety in the meantime?
No way!! I forbid you all from ever throwing in the towel. It’s not over until the fat lady sings. Even if she’s humming a few bars. This blog is too great. A worthy opponent. If it was between and Sekijitsu, I’d be deadlocked to cast a vote.

We see nothing but a total number so yeah, it’s keeping us on edge but still pretty much sane as it’s making us campaign hard too. :3
Even when I didn’t want to face a bro-blog, I was sad for SJ’s round-bye because they sure fought very bravely.
