At last the moment is here! The evil magical girl Kyoko appears to have a bit of fun with Ayumu and the others or did something dramatic happen to change her life forever? I really hope we get some extra special fun with her this week before things come to an end.Plot follows Kyoko’s return to the series for now… |
Evil Kyoko? Or normal Kyoko?
Dai-Sensei-“Uh I sent you a special guest.” Ayumu-“Oh? I wonder who it could be this time…”
Kyoko-“Well well well…look who we have here.” Ayumu-“If I had a normal heart it would have exploded.”
Kyoko is displaying her big bangs this week…can you resist her!?
Yes indeed Kyoko has finally arrived to stir things up, but in a good way or something entirely different? I would say a combination of both for the most part. While Ayumu talks to Dai-Sensei on her cute paper cup phone, Kyoko pays everyone a visit. I assume Dai-Sensei let Kyoko out for some time away from magical jail, which is a good thing for her but not for the main cast…also Kyoko seems to be ready to jump Ayumu’s bones for some “extra fun” however with Seraphim around I don’t think that is a great idea for Kyoko or Ayumu right now or is it? And sure Kyoko might be a little mental, but she just wants to have a little bit of fun before she reveals Chris-chan’s weakness.

Ayumu-“I really have no idea who those two dudes are.” Orito-“Dude…worst…bros…ever…”
Kyoko-“What is she doing here! I want this to be a bloody party.” Ayumu-“EHHHHHHHHHHH!?”
So you just got out of jail for a few days, what would you want to do for your free time? Maybe catch up on the past news events? Grab some real food? The only thing on Kyoko’s mind right now is to throw a random party and who better to host this party than Ayumu? Yes she sort of forces him to get a bunch of his friends from school to form a mixer. Also I noticed that Kyoko really likes the idea of him being embarrassed around his friends, because apparently it really makes her get all excited which triggers her extreme yandere face of evil! I will admit she had me laughing every time her eyes started to glow red and showed off her teeth.

Of course we are always ready to rock out with genius magical girl Haruna!
Yuu-“Silly Onii-chan, you can’t have the same fantasy about me all the time.”
Every girl seem to have an odd relationship with Ayumu, but how do you feel about his growing harem? I know during the first season Ayumu was blown up, insulted all the time, stabbed and even run over a few times rather than dealing with a romantic partner; however this season seems to be pushing the various relationship possibilities to the max! After all we have Yuki, Sarasvati, Taeko, and now Koyko who you can add to the list of romance partners. So what is going on with Haruna, Yuu and Seraphim during all of this? I really think each of them has a special thing they love about him and this episode showed me that some things might be different after all! Because you saw how Haruna reacted to Ayumu getting a hug and that possible kiss from Kyoko? So yeah I think it is safe to say there is something for the main girls to chase.
Love through stabbing?
Kyoko-“Hey Ayumu, why did the chicken cross the road?” Ayumu-“Uh to get to the other side, right?”
Kyoko-“Wrong! YOU LOSE, Ayumu! I hate chicken…” Ayumu-“Damn, you are sharp today.”
This shot is both cute and very creepy at the same time.
Kyoko-“Goodbye, my love! I am off to a better place…” Ayumu-“Magical girl jail right? See you in a million years.”
The dramatic ending this week was both creepy as hell and quite touching at the same time with Kyoko’s final goodbye message for Ayumu. That scene left me feeling all warm and fuzzy along with feeling freaked out with that sword sticking out of Ayumu’s back, but good god that was a very creepy way to confess to someone. However, his words from season one eventually came true about changing her life forever. So was that moment touching for you? Maybe it was more like whoa…this girl is messed up! That said I think it was kind of nice how Kyoko got to tell Ayumu her true feelings before going back to prison and how he will always remember her forever. D’awwwww we might have a possible zombie x zombie romance in the future? Or no way in hell….
Chris-chan is weak against…
Ayumu-“WHAT IS THIS CRAP!?” Haruna-“Whoa! You really are screwed aren’t you?”
Every great villain needs a weakness so what could possibly stop a super powerful magical girl in the world of Kore wa zombie? I would think it would end up being something like a potion, spell or a giant magical weapon perhaps? Sadly none of the above will work on Chris-chan. The only thing that can stop her at this point is to tickle her. Wait, tickle her? Yes I know what you are thinking, that has to be one of the dumbest character weaknesses of all time, right? Then again this is Kore wa zombie we’re talking about and in this universe you can’t really throw logic in when you have to deal with giant monsters on a weekly basis or in this case a crazy magical girl.

End thoughts
HELL YEAH! Kyouko was back! …Even better, she’s kept her yandere-like tendencies. That scene with the swing, man. It’s a good thing there were no children around to see that face. Her boobs were out of control this episode as well. Just thought I’d put that out there. Though, uh, during that whole touching scene with Kyouko being sad about the length of her prison sentence and flying off in a golden beam of light, the only thing I could think of was that she uh, never held up her end of the bargain. We still don’t know Chris’ weakness. Now I’m sure Ayumu will make a big deal of it next episode doing his regular shouting routine, but it was completely forgotten about.
…At this point, I don’t even know which shipping pair I prefer anymore. Damn that hug scene was adorable (even I still don’t know the girl’s name). I even find Kyouko’s stab-the-guy-and-then-confess strategy acceptable (Ayumu totally took that like a man). I’d be happy if Ayumu went with any one of them really (hell, even Sera; she’s been rather dere as of late). …Though seeing how this whole thing is run off the basis of a harem, I seriously doubt that Ayumu would go with any one of them. Not unless DEEN decided that they were going to end this for real.
This was certainly a very entertaining episode with Kyoko’s arrival and all the crazy stuff she brings to the table as in EXTREME YANDERE FACE! But like I said earlier every time those faces appeared I just couldn’t help but grin and laugh. We also got to see another side to her a fun loving side; however it was more stalker-ish than anything in the end right? So far this series is really giving me everything I could ever want in a second season! Alright maybe not everything…I could use like twelve more episodes of awesome kore wa zombie, but hey at least we can hold out for a great ending and the usual OVA or movie treatment depending on how popular the series becomes.

Yes!! We finally have Kyoko again but damn, she’s scary and extremely bipolar. I almost had a heart attack seeing sneak up behind Ayumu with red eyes and a crazed smile. With all the other powers she had last season, I think she’s more than a maso shoujo. After all, we don’t see Haruna walking around with glowing red eyes.
Her fun loving side was nice and seeing her in normal clothes was hot, especially the part of her pouncing on Ayumu in jaw dropping nightwear. After watching the episode, I can say used the mixer to confirm her feelings and just made up the story about Chris’s weakness to get out and test them.
Kyoko is another addition to Ayumu’s harem, a psycho haremette. She’s the Vento of Kore Wa Zombie. I mentioned it last time and I’ll say it again. Ayumu is stealing Touma’s thunder. The last thing he did before beating her was punching her.
Too many shipping options. I don’t know who should be paired up anymore. Any girl will do now.
The confession was a surprise since I thought she was out for revenge but a confession after stabbing the one you like? That’s just nuts but somehow sweet at the same time. But props to Ayumu. He gets stabbed in the stomach then drinks coffee after that LIKE A BOSS.

Kyoko was one of the best characters from season one! The reveal of her being Ayumu’s killer was great because that was one twist I don’t think anyone saw coming…at least that is how I feel about her and damn she has a great yandere face <3
Ahahahah oh yes Kyoko really knows where to hit Ayumu where it counts doesn't she? I guess she became a lot more aggressive during her jail time, but she did get to drop her fake hnngggg side for a bit and indeed hot ;D
Every harem needs that one girl that can snap at any moment and pretty much murder the other girls, but in Kore wa zombie everyone has a special way to avoid death xD

Confession through a stab was definitely something I could always picture Kyoko doing eventually! I think she did the same thing in season one, but it was more of a surprise! ---stab through the chest--

Ayumu always gets in the strangest but awesome situations. Sharing his room with a busty serial killer/sadist that has been locked up from the outside world for who knows how long. Lucky bastard!! Among all girls in the series, she’s the one that draws the most attention whether it’s by her insanity, her charm or that she’s just cute (maybe even more when flaunting her assets: boobs).
But Ayumu also seems to have bad luck because that’s the third time he got stabbed by her. First time when he got killed, second time when they fought and the third time for the confession. It’s still kind of strange Kyoko could fall in love with someone that she tried to kill and who tried to kill her in return. And she came because she was afraid he’d forget her? That’s impossible. You stabbed the guy repeatedly, you’re half the reason he’s a zombie. There’s no forgetting that.
In honor of Kyoko’s craziness, I’ll paraphrase Jormungand’s preview song: Her name is Kyoko, she is loco. I saw “Oh no!”.

I can’t wait to see Funimation dub both seasons. Season one should be finished soon. You gotta love Funimation’s dub work. I even saw the english dub of Deadman Wonderland’s first episode air on Toonami/Adult Swim just a few hours ago and the voices fit perfectly. And Shiki will released on DVD on May 29th.

Season one DVD should be out around June 10th! I was looking for it yesterday because I really really need to buy that series, but yeah funimation usually does a good job with their dubs have you seen the trailers for B gatta H Kei, Panty and stocking or Sora no Otoshimono? Those are gooooood! Not family stuff of course >.>
Yep Deadman/cashern sins was on last night! I loved them even thou Deadman Wonderland was lame and dumb for 90% of anime fans out there I think Funimation scored high for casting the main characters.

It’s a bit sad how Kyoko had to leave so early in the series 🙁 I actually wanted to see more of her after the stunt she pulled off in Episode 8 (never though I’d ever say that LOLS)
Man, this episode was the BOMB! Loved it all from the comedy to the romantic moments between Aikawa and Kyoko. It was so awesome! Those swings… oh gosh that made me crack up laughing SO HARD! XD Was not expecting that at all!

Kyoko was the ultimate in yandere. You could never tell when she would turn psycho and she does it in a moment’s notice, about the smallest things and with a demented expression. Too bad they only waited until now to bring her out and it’s sad she has to go prison. I mean, yeah, she killed Ayumu but I can’t help liking her even though she’s a murderer.
Kyoko in a nightgown!! Man, she’s hot!! I might die happy. Ayumu, you lucky bastard. The episode was already gold from the start but the best part was the sword stabbing confession. 100 points for originality.
