50 things you didn’t know about Cool

I may or may not have to kill you after you read this.

Are you sick of these yet? Even if you are, I command you to be un-sick. There’s a lot of us, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn all of our secrets! 1. Who is your favorite male anime character?
Orihara Izaya is my favourite, because of how effortlessly he twists people’s lives around and throws them into despair. He doesn’t even have to do much work – he makes people turn against themselves. It’s that power over people’s minds and emotions that fascinates me, and the shameless way he uses that power for his own amusement.

2. Who is your favorite female anime character?
This is tough since I don’t pay as much attention to females…It would have to be a tie between two fiery redheads: Makise Kurisu of Steins;Gate and Lina Inverse from Slayers. Kurisu is smart, strong-willed and adorable while Lina is more like a ravenous pack of wolves fused into a singular entity. I just like a strong girl who makes a statement without having to strip down to her bra and panties.

3. What is your favorite anime soundtrack?
The Air Gear OST is my favourite in terms of how well it goes with the anime when I’m watching it (with Panty and Stocking as a close second), but I’m not as fond of them when they’re on my iPod without any accompanying, badass animation. The Shiki OST stands out a bit less during the show, but listening to it again on my headphones brings all of the creepy memories rushing back. I can’t even begin to explain the things it does to my heart.

4. What is your favorite anime opening + animation?
Just one? I guess the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OP ranks up there pretty high because I love SHAFT and the music is pretty bitching.

5. What is your favorite anime ending + animation?
Gah, I never watch ED songs. They’re always so damn slow! I guess K-ON!’s “Don’t Say Lazy” would take the cake for me. WHAT A DIFFERENCE FROM MY FAVOURITE OP.

6. What is your favorite anime scene?
Izaya tricking that girl into attempting suicide. It made such an amazing first impression.

7. If you could meet an anime character who would it be?
Kino from Kino no Tabi. As much as I’d love to chat with a psychopath or a villain, I think I’d get more out of talking with a cool cat like Kino and hearing stories of her many travels. She can tell me about crazy people second hand!

8. What anime character is most similar to you in terms of personality?
Hmm…I was going to say Reki from Haibane Renmei at first..but that’s more like who I used to be when my life wasn’t all that great. Honestly, I’m the most like Horo from Spice and Wolf. I tend to be a bit haughty, and I like using my sharp tongue to tease people. Playing mind games and saying things to people with a smirk is fun! I also admire that she’s got a good head on her shoulder, and her independence. I’d like to think I have that too. Also, the way she grooms her tail obsessively? We’re narcissist twins. Looking nice is important!

9. What is your favorite thing about anime?
It’s beautiful to look at in a way that real life can never quite mimic. It’s just…different. I’m so deep into my love for anime, I can barely even explain why I like it because it feels like it’s a natural instinct. How do you explain an instinct?

10. What is your least favorite thing about anime?
Derpy animation. Just…ugh.

11. Who’s your favorite anime couple?
My favourite heterosexual couple is Horo and Lawrence from Spice and Wolf, because of how fluidly their relationship came together. I also see a bit of myself in Horo, so there’s that too. My all-time favourite couples are just me shipping two guys together, so they’re not official hurr hurr hurrrrrr

12. Who is your favorite anime animal?
Furret (the pokemon). SO. CUTE. (ﾉﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ

13. What anime would make a good game?
I was going to say Phi Brain, but I hear they actually announced a PSP game. =A= Isn’t everything already a game too? I give up.

14. What game would make a good anime?
Odin Sphere and Muramasa. They’d have trouble doing the gorgeous game animation any justice, but the story is so riveting and complex that they’d both make great 25 episode anime series.

15. What was the first anime you ever watched?
Neon Genesis Evangelion was the first anime I watched while being aware it was an anime. Otherwise, Totoro.

16. Do you think you’ll ever stop watching anime?
Doubt it. My obsession my lessen a bit, but it won’t become extinct. I’ll probably keep blogging here too, even when I’m a doctor.

17. What is your favorite genre of anime?
I like my anime on the psychological and/or philosophical side, chock full of hidden meanings and complex storylines. In other words: pretentious as hell. The more emotional suffering and blood, the better. I also really like the typical shounen shows with lots of action.

18. What is your least favorite genre of anime?
Romance. Just…too mushy. I think everyone already knows this about me though.

19. Are you open about watching anime with people you know?
I do from time to time – but only shows I don’t mind them interrupting for comments. If I suspect it’s something I really want to ponder over alone, I’ll reserve it for an alone-time anime watching day :3 I would love to watch anime in groups more, I really need to…get on that.

20. Have you ever been to Japan?
A couple of times. It’s great!

21. What anime was the biggest letdown for you?
Dead Leaves. I expected something epic, and just got a bunch of weird sex jokes.

22. What anime was better than expected?
Clannad. I thought it was a stupid romance story, but it turned out to be an emotional tearjerker capable of making even ME want to break down and bawl my eyes out. A major surprise, indeed. Thank you, Bakuhasu, for recommending it to me!

23. What is the best anime fight scene?
The fights in Birdy the Mighty Decode are all fantastic, especially when Birdy fights Ondine. There’s no stupid pausing to talk and mock the other person – it’s pure brutality. If you have an appreciation for well-animated fight scenes, GO WATCH THIS SERIES.

24. Who is your anime waifu?
If you mean husbando, it’s Shinjiro from Persona 3 (shh, I know it’s a game).

25. What was your favorite video game as a child?
I guess it would be Pokemon, because it was all I talked about. I lost my Pokemon Silver once in Wal-Mart and I cried all the way on the ride home u_u

26. Most embarrassing moment?
None, really. Just giving presentations in front of the class. I’m pretty good at not making a fool out of myself. Otherwise…how would I keep my cool image, huh?

27. Can you drive?
Yes, but I don’t have my G2 yet. I’m…getting there.

28. Are you mature?
Better than most, but I am prone to acting childish and petulant from time to time. Aren’t we all? I’d like to think I’m mature though…

29. What year were you born?
1991. Too lazy for math? I’m 21 at the moment.

30. Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Doesn’t matter, animals are all like aliens to me.

31. Describe yourself physically.
What a bad question to ask a narcissist. Danger of rambling: MAX! I’ll try a brief description: tall, long brown curly hair that I usually wear out, blue eyes, slightly tanned skin, thin but athletic physique, and rather attractive if I say so myself *hair flip* I don’t like when girls complain about how fat and ugly they are, so somewhere along the line I went in the opposite direction. :T

32. What would you name your first child?
All I know is if it’s a girl, I wanna name it Noah or some other guy’s name. If it’s a guy…uh..I’ll think of a cool name later.

33. What is the worst injury you’ve ever had?
I do all these dangerous sports but never get injured pfftt. The worst I’ve had is a really bad finger jam where my finger swelled up to twice its size and turned an angry purple. It was from not catching a basketball in time and my finger getting owned.

34. What is your worst habit?
Ignoring people I see on the street if they don’t say hi to me first. I’m bad at initiating contact, but after that I’m perfectly fine. Please…do not picture me as a socially inept otaku =_=

35. Do you drink or smoke?
No. I find both of them pretty gross too.

36. Do you have a tattoo?
Naw. I’d rather not.

37.  Are you a morning or a night person?
Morning, but not right when I get up. You don’t want to be near me when I first get up, no you do notttt.

38. Have you ever slept past midday?
All the time, because I’m a sleep fiend who needs at least 10 hours or else I can’t function like a normal human being.

39. Do you regret anything?
Losing a very important friend.

40. Can you count the number of friends that you have on one hand?
I have a lot of acquaintances (way more than 5 XD) and I have at least 10 good friends I know I can count on. I’m very selective though, and tend to distance myself from people I find to be uninteresting and a bit lower in overall quality than my other friends. Why waste time with only OK people when I can spend all of my time with awesome people? I either care about people too much or not at all.

41. Do you wear glasses?
Only every now and then to look cool. They’re not prescription, as my vision is already EAGLE-LIKE.

42. Are you a picky eater?
Yeah. I’m willing to try anything, but I don’t like a lot of common things, which makes finding a restaurant a chore at times. I don’t like sandwiches, fast food, spicy food, milk, cheese and most cooked vegetables. Sorry for being so prissy, guys.

43. Would you die for someone?
There is only one person I would even consider giving my life for.

44. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to grant wishes. As in…my own wishes. INFINITELY.

45. Do you believe in the supernatural?
I’m kind of agnostic on this. I’m like ‘this is dumb’ but then every now and then I’m like ‘hey the room got warmer, THANKS GHOST BUDDY’

46. Would you rather be rich or famous?
Rich. Bitch, I’ll buy fame.

47. Have you ever committed a crime?
I used to like stealing candy from the store when I was 6 or so. I never got caught o_o

48. Time traveler or ghost?
WTF if I’m a ghost then I’m dead. Time traveler.

49. Does anybody have a crush on you?
Yeah, and I had to turn him down. Hopefully it’s gone by now so we can be friends. u_u

50. Are you in a relationship?
Nope, not at the moment. *double pistols and wink…unless you’re a girl*

Well, great, I’ve been exposed along with Miyu, Fosh and Kyokai…It was fun though! It’s comforting to know that everyone has to do it too, so I can at least dig up some dirt on everyone. If you have anything you ever wanted to ask me then now would be the time to ask it. Literally any question: anime or personal. I may not answer it if it’s like “what’s your 3 sizes?” or “where is your house?” but you get the idea. I can’t imagine any of you actually read through all 50 of these and still want to know more though. <_< Although…I guess I would be happy if you did.
