The never too late results for the winners of the Fan Favorite Awards~
——————————————————————-
Ah yes, this took a while but you know how things are when we get in the flow of a new season? 2011 has been quite a good year for anime, seeing the usual flow of fanservice but many titles with substance and lots of experimentation. So, what Fractale bombed and C wasn’t well executed? We still got Fate/Zero, Mawaru Penguindrum, Steins;Gate, Usagi Drop, Gintama and many others as per personal choices. I had fun, cracking out posts, episodics and many Metanorn special features during the year. But as usual, expect even more so this year. :3
Before we officially move on to the new year, it’s only right that we look back at the previous year. Will 2012 be better than 2011? Who knows! All we can say for sure is that 2011 was a pretty good year for anime. There were some good, there were some bad, but overall at least everyone should have found at least one show to enjoy. I know I had a blast blogging Madoka and Taigs&Buns. Let’s just forget all the bad memories (*cough* Fractale) and look at the cream of the crop. Only the best for you, dear readers!
Time to finally put all of the 2011 stuff behind us. It was a good year of anime, and I still got some ecchi stuff to catch up with. Blogging Sengoku Otome was one thing, but doing Mawaru Penguindrum was really a blast to cover; I hope 2012 will present a show I can cover that’s as thought provoking and engaging as that show was. And now, you’re winners for ‘11…
2011 was an excellent year for anime. Of course, there were a few misses, but there were also more than enough hits to make up for that. I know I have quite a few good memories from this year. Blogging Blood-C was entertaining (Saya’s singing aside), as was UtaPri. Tagging with the team was fun as well~. So before we finally move on with our lives and into 2012, let’s look at just what 2011 left us with.
So what happened to 2011? I remember lots of amazing anime! Like my personal favorites with Kore wa zombie desu ka? That series left me with so many good memories, sure it was not the most popular or best ever series made but I still had fun. What would 2011 be without my other famous addiction? Nichijou! Tagging that with Ness was a another fun memory for me and Nichijou caused me to draw a lot…and I mean A LOT…I guess I personally fell in love with the designs of the characters. So, yes 2011 had some of the best blogging memories, hell I had fun with Sacred Seven…even though it meant cracking all of those jokes about that series.
Hey all. Well, finally got around to getting this out. It’s been a tough month so far. January is always busy with getting into the new year. Too much goes on and we are already into the new anime season. But with that aside, the past year of 2011 has been a tough one. There was some very good anime but I didn’t get to see them all. I did enjoy the tagging of Nichijou with Fosh, our Nesshizzel Tag Team will live on and continue on. There’s also anime like Level E with Prince’s awesome trolol’s and Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san with Akutabe’s hawt yet devilish deeds that has made the anime year so interesting. Then I finally got to see Fate/Zero with its hyped up plot, characters and very exciting action. So the year of 2011 was an okay yet tough one for me. Lets hope for better good stuff in 2012…
You viewers voted from the nominations that the Meta Team has provided. We got you the results in this compiled post. Thank you all for your input because without you, these Year-Ender posts wouldn’t be as cool. There’s a few more things coming your way but for now, check out those results~
I was not really expecting this song to win it. But it did and I’m satisfied. Who can pass up on supercell music? While I’m new to listening to this artist, this song has captured the feeling of this anime. The opening sequence, Inori’s actions and the song just perfectly matches. Now, this could just be the awesome work of the animators but still, it doesn’t feel off one beat.
I’m not surprised by the results at all because this is by far, one of the best songs of 2011, hands down. With Yuki Kajiura’s music and Kalafina’s hauntingly beautiful vocals, this song gave goosebumps to the listeners and had very interesting lyrics. You can say, this is signature Kalafina/Yuki Kajiura song and you will be entranced by it.

Mamoru Miyano
This isn’t very surprising to see Mamoru Miyano win the fan favourite award. Not only is he generally revered as a talented actor, but this year especially showed off his skills at voicing over-the-top characters while still reigning himself in enough to hit all the emotional undertones. His role as Okarin pretty much sealed his victory due to the sheer amount of unforgettable catch phrases and simply flawless voice-acting. Mamoru worked his butt off this year, and it shows in his work!

Hanazawa Kana
Was there ever any doubt that she would win this? The woman was everywhere this year. With good reason though, since A.) the woman’s voice is adorable and B.) she can play a a wide range of different character types extremely well. Though this year, she seemed to specialize in little sisters. Could this have lead to her popularity? Who knows. Either way, Hanazawa is incredibly talented at her job and hopefully 2012 brings her as much success as 2011 did.

“The King of Heroes”
Gilgamesh/Archer
Fate/Zero VA [ Seki Tomokazu ]
People called him names and even hated on him. Though, being an old follower of Fate series, I was always entranced by his personality and motivation. Being the Keeper of all Treasures, his ego and haughtiness is understandable and by far he has been one of the most well developed characters of Fate/Zero who unfurled its true colours with time. But this is not the end and there’s more fabulousness to come, next season.

There’s a hidden page in her diary that said she would win a Metanorn Award for 2011. Go ahead and put a stamp on it Ringo, because it’s been your destiny ever since you were a crazy stalker who once abused Shouma and tried to get yourself pregnant with a passed-out Tabuki to accept this award. And because of your contributions to the series finale, we commemorate you with Metanorn’s Best Female Support character of 2011! Congrats!

Congratulations to the freaky white ball of magical fur! You sold little girls magical powers for their own souls and ate the left overs when they finished fighting to the death. Damn Kyuubey, you really are quite twisted. Anyway, congratulations again for winning the best villain of 2011! Okabe Rintarou
Steins;Gate VA [ Mamoru Miyano ]
He’s a mad scientist, of course, he’s COOL. Not only that, he has an interesting harem of girls, waiting for his affection. So, what if it has a trap as well? His over the top dialogues and signature laugh has been etched on every watcher’s mind. His in-time decisions (yes, that was a pun), and route-processing power had him travel across many a time planes. But in the end, he did reach his goal, tricking all the paradoxes, which is more than awesome. So, next time you hear that particular laugh, take out your mobile and say, “El Psy Congroo.”

Akemi Homura
Kaname Madoka
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica VA [ Saito Chiwa ]
VA [ Yuuki Aoi ]
Yep, this was not so surprising. This heroic duo with their tragic yet touching lives have touched the hearts of many viewers. Who can resist the dramatic and twisted view of the magical girl? This isn’t about pink fluffy hearts with girly transformations and the power of love to destroy your enemies. No, the anime was about the power of friendship that was so strong that the stalker, Homura, transcended time to hopefully save the selfless Madoka who touches the lives of those around her through her own sacrifice. These two girls proved to us that friendship is important and making a contract for your wish to come true is not worth it… or is it? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
Wow, voters, this is a surprise! Steins;Gate beat Mawaru Penguindrum in our polls?! which showed truckloads of promise in the beginning. You can say the fans persisted and we are ready to oblige with our accolades because this time travel ditty kept its pacing with enough hints to keep us guessing till the very end. I’m liking White Fox even more so now. Anyways, this ends our Popular Year-Ender Awards for 2011. The crowd has spoken and we’ll see you same time, next year with even more interesting titles.

I’m not too surprised by the “Best Anime” results. Mawaru P-Drum had a lot of things going for it, but Steins;Gate had an excellent ending that tied everything up in an unexpected, but satisfactory fashion.
Wow, I was expecting Madoka or Mawaru to be the big winner. Though Madoka did win a lot of awards. I’ve never watched Steins;Gate, but this pretty much confirms that I have to check it out when I have the time.
2011 was an awesome year. Like Senjougahara winning ANTM, there was absolutely no doubt Kana Hanazawa would win Best Female Seiyuu. Don’t you dare question her work ethic, the girl is a machine and she goes to work. She’s everywhere.
Like Ness, I’m overjoyed My Dearest won Best Anime Opening. The music from Supercell was just too beautiful to ignore. I still listen to it almost everyday and now there’s the second OP to look forward to.
I am completely satisfied with this… But Personally, I think that “male lead” was for Kanba and Shouma, and I though Kurisu will be the “Female lead”, but that’s all, I love this post!
Wow! Great graphics this time!
As for the winners, I’m mostly satisfied. But honestly, Mawaru Penguindrum > Steins;Gate. Male lead should have been Kanba and Shouma, too. Then again, I couldn’t stand Stein’s Gate, even just in the first episode…
I’m very happy that Madoka and Homaru got the female lead title, though.
yess !!! hanazawa kana !!! awesome quality by the way !!…finally!! it been 4 years since i know her in anime ..and also SUPERCELL – MY DEAREST ^V^ IT ON MY TOP 10 LIST ..don’t believe me …click on My name’s “tatsuya”
Yay the 2011 winners. When I saw hanazawa as the lead female seiyuu winner I ROTFL then I was like, wait I voted 4 her 2
Kyuubey was a bad ass villain.

All hail Steins;Gate! Indeed, AoEx didn’t get any awards but you can say that Kana’s win is a kind of indirect win since she voiced Shiemi -/hit
I was indeed a little surprised Penguindrum didn’t get at least one award but Madoka and Steins;Gate totally owned the past year!
