Music Digest – Issue 05
Releasing Singles of Kimi no Boku, Beelzebub, Un-Go and limited soundtrack of Mawaru Penguindrum and 2nd installment of No.6
There were a lot of music releases while I was slaving away in office! 0-0 Anyways, even if you missed some of it, I’m here to keep you updated for your eargasm needs. Some of these actually came as a surprise, in particular the Mawaru Penguindrum OST released with the a special detective drama. Of course it has troll elements but at least you picture the scene perfectly with the familiar cast, acting exactly like you would expect them to. In terms of the soundtrack, the second installment of No.6 finally has another song from Yoshimasa Hosoya along with Safu and Eliurias, all of them were pretty neat. If anyone is looking, another drama CD is out as well from the same franchise.
Coming to the singles, from MetaVerse episode 11, you already know how much I loved “Papepipu ♪ Papipepu ♪ Papepipupo ♪~”, I even did an office somersault to its music. xD Un-go’s ED is from one of my favourite bands LAMA (remember that awesome song from No.6 last season?), this can actually be called one of the best EDs of this season. Kimi to Boku’s “Bye Bye” makes me airdrum every time it’s on; same can be said about the OP of Chihayafuru, for which I’m still waiting! Interestingly, this single includes a short drama as well. Looks like this is trending in Japan? Anyways, finally Working’!! OP and ED, which are not as addictive as the first season but still keeps you jumping with a big smile on your face because every character is adorable and twisted on their own right and same goes for the seiyuu cast. So, enjoy the releases!

The song Bye Bye for Kimi to Boku is sooo good! I dunno, I just like the rythm of it, because I find myself bobbing my head back and forth slightly to the beat while listening to it haha. XD
And speaking of music, do you know if the have released vol. 2 of the Durarara soundtrack? I can’t seem to find if anywhere…

I agree with you! It’s head bopping and makes me bob on my seat whenever an episode starts. And I’m glad you reminded me about the volume two of Durarara!! OST because it literally slipped my peripheral vision when it released. I’ll put up a post soon. ^^

One of the best of this season for sure. And No.6 Soundtrack is not so bad either; though if you really want something good to listen while studying, check out Kami-memo and tiger & bunny’s. xD
