Time to reveal the New Blood of Metanorn. Welcome our Freshies~
Oh hello thar! Not been a long time but it’s good to see you all sticking around and multiplying our clicks! Metanorn has grown considerably since it started three years ago (minus a few days). I got some planned stuff for the big day but let me not go ahead of myself rather to the introduction of new team and some quick updates.
Interestingly, we get a million hits up whenever we hire some fresh blood and it was SO CLOSE this time around… like 0.2M to the next landmark but we haven’t reached that yet so expect an update on that most probably by the end of next month. Coming to the fresh meat, my humblest thank you to every participant, who took out time in applying for Metanorn. Every time the quality simply ups more than a notch, making it double difficult on the team and myself in judging. I mean, we literally had to break it up into two rounds and there were multiple conferences just to finalize them. For those who did not make it, you can touch base with me anytime if you want to get more pointers or clarity (for those who have and I haven’t replied yet, I am on it). There were some hits and misses this time around but time is of the essence and that is how we roll.
You can see, the team page has been updated with the recent profiles and moves. Subtracting Will, me and anyone on hiatus, we have picked three more anibloggers to reach the ideal number of ten active authors. With our podcast MetaVerse kicking in, a lot of duties have been divided into the team like Hato being semi-available for podcasts alone, while Jrow of Anivision specially hired for editing podcast. There might be more future projects with so many minds pumping out creative juices, but we have become one cohesive team with me pointing the way with a spear (I just had a 300 flashback, excuse me).
Before getting to the profiles, a few thank yous are in order!

Why, hello there! I’m anaaga! I’ve been a lurker at Metanorn for a long time, but due to some strange circumstances, I ended up being one of the new members of the Metanorn Team. I don’t remember the first time I read/watched anime/manga, but I remember that I grew up knowing about them. Probably that’s why I love anime and manga so much now.
My country is probably the country that has the worst traffic jam in Asia. At least for me ^^; I don’t know how to describe myself, but lots of people think I’m chatty and random? At least the people I’m close to. xD They also think that a black hole exists in my stomach, but that’s another matter. I don’t think I’m pretty good at writing since I’m not even done with school. So, please forgive me if you find my writing to be extremely unprofessional and poorly written… >.< Also, I’m kind of anti-social, since I’m actually a shy person (surprise surprise). I’m working on this part of myself though, don’t worry.
As for my preference in anime and manga, I’m into anything. I don’t even know what genre I’m into the most, because I just read/watch randomly. Actually, there’s this one genre I’m really into, and we all know what it is. For those who don’t know, it’s Yaoi. But of course, I judge all anime and manga based on their story, not their genre. What’s the use of reading or watching something that looks pretty but has a shallow plot? But sometimes I hate or like things because of the silliest reason, so I shouldn’t be saying that.

Hello everybody and indeed, I am Jrow and I’m the audio editor for Metanorn and the Metaverse podcast. I step in from hosting and producing the Anivision Podcast, which I’ve worked on for a couple years now. Podcasting is a format I truly enjoy as a fun format to express opinions and produce a show that people can enjoy, laugh at and get them thru the day. I’m excited to help Metanorn put out the best anime podcast there possibly can be. #1 on iTunes! We will settle for no less!
I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, a surprising hotbed of anime fandom that rolls out to the Animazement convention each May. Anime has been a part of my life for nearly 10 years as series like Ghost in the Shell and Dragonball Z served as the gateway to Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist and a couple hundred more series. I’m an ecchi guy, so putting some hot ladies in your anime will catch my attention, but I also enjoy action, drama, romance, sci-fi and sports series. I do some light manga reading, as I read One Piece and like occasionally picking up a manga volume from the bookstore.
My other hobbies include gaming and sports, both being how my Dad raised me (thanks Dad). I currently game on the PS3 and 360, and a couple of my favorite games of all-time include Metal Gear Solid & Half-Life 2. I love sports of all sorts, my particular faves being American football, baseball, hockey and racing. My fandom is stuck in my birth state of Ohio as I root for the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Hi! It’s zabobinator! I have been quite the super-lurker so it’s really exciting for me to be a part of the Meta Team. I have never really aniblogged before so this is going to be quite the new experience for me. However, I find that I write best about things I love which, of course, includes anime and manga so this should end up rather nicely. ;D
I have only recently gotten interested in anime/manga (I started about two years ago) but I absolutely love it. Art is very important to me in anime – if I don’t like the art, it’s pretty hard for me to watch something, let alone start it. I guess I’m an elitist in that sense. However, that doesn’t mean that I’m limited in what I like to watch. In fact, I happen to have a very eclectic taste in that I can watch something from any genre and love it. I generally really like anime/manga that engages me mentally and/or renders me unable to stop laughing. I go for tear-jerkers too. Studio Ghibli films are my favorite.
I am what I like to call a lazy-nerd. I believe that any further elaboration on what that means is unnecessary. Hehe. I’ll be starting college this year, hopefully majoring in something related to Biology. My interests range from running to sleeping (like a rock) to food to drawing to reading to dancing to music to anime/manga. Oh, and I speak Arabic. I’m a hilariously awesome person. Kind of a dork though. Nice to meet you! xD
KARAKURI – Moe Moe Kyun~ Tsundere Loli

Hello, I’m Karakuri and after a long time of lurking here at Metanorn, I’ve finally gathered my courage and decided to try my hand at blogging! I’ve never done this kind of thing before, so be patient with me here, but I’ll try my best to make my reviews interesting (and hopefully) easy to read. I’m somewhat of a closet anime/manga lover because of the lack of otaku where I live in Canada, so it might take me a while to get used to opening up and talking here. I’ll probably be shy at first, but I’m pretty open minded about the opinions of other people and willing to listen to their thoughts on any series.
I began watching anime about 12 years ago with Sailor Moon and it just kind of expanded from there. These days I prefer seinen horror, and psychological anime/manga but I also have a soft spot for genderbenders (and the occasional fluffy shoujo romance series, though I’m somewhat ashamed to admit it). I will watch pretty much anything if it interests me, though I tend to stay away from sports related series because those tend to bore me (though I’m open to recommendations). I read both manga and manhwa, but I’m a bit picky in because I have to like the story AND the art before I decide to read anything. As for gaming, I am a HUGE Persona and Final Fantasy fan and will happily try out any game by Atlus or Square Enix.
Outside of blogging, I translate here and there (not very well unfortunately) and enjoy drawing. I’m an underpaid, overworked, almost graduated high school student when I’m not online, and I hope to major in character design once in college. Once again, it’s nice to meet you and I’ll be doing my best here~!
