Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai – 06

ECCHI-SKETCHY ONE-TOUCHY!!!

Ah man, just finished my last week of school. I’ve been so busy but I can’t believe that I’m finally done with high school. My summer vacation is starting! Then it’s college! WOOH! I’ll be super speedy with these updates now that I have more time. xP But seriously? This show just keeps getting better and better. I seriously cannot believe that there are only five episodes left. CAN THERE BE A SECOND SEASON PLEASE!?

We begin with Jinta watching scary movies and contemplating why Menma is here. He then thinks about her wish and how she wanted him to go to school. So, he decides to go! Menma’s kind of confused about his decision and after he leaves, she thinks about what Poppo said to her the night before. She doesn’t really understand why she is here either…

Smile and JK!? Jinta’s watching Occult Academy.  I miss that show like crazy.

Jinta arrives at school and is super nervous about it. After all, how will people react to somebody who hasn’t been to school for over an entire semester?! Turns out that Anaru has stolen his thunder though as there are rumors about her being seen with a man in front of a love hotel. I guess it was that creeper that Yukiatsu saved her from. In class, the students keep whispering about Anaru being a loose girl and finally, unable to take it anymore, Jinta explodes. He yells at the class about how Anaru would never take money for sex and basically makes a complete and total fool out of himself to cover for her. Uh…is it too late to sign up for the Jinta x Anaru fanclub???? Actually, screw that – CAN I BE THE PRESIDENT?!

GO JINTA!  *grabs pompoms*

Jinta starts getting into some embarrassing details about Anaru so she drags him out of class. Afterwards, she thanks him for sticking up for her. When Jinta mentions that she should go home, she flips out and decides to stay at Poppo’s place for fear of her mother getting angry for her behavior at school. While she’s cleaning up, Poppo decides that he wants to visit Menma’s place to see if they can figure out what her wish was.

Meanwhile, at school, some girls want Tsuruko to give Yukiatsu a love letter. She refuses to do so and the other girl gets pretty upset with her. Yukiatsu apologizes to Tsuruko later on for people getting jealous of how she’s always with him. I’m with Tsuruko on this one…that’s just plain annoying. -.- They get on the train and discuss Jinta and Menma – Yukiatsu is angry that he still gets caught up in Jinta’s pace and wishes that Jinta hadn’t called them all to the fort the day that Menma died. But it turns out that Menma had called them there instead!

“So, like, yesterday I bought these, like,  SUUUPPERRR cute heels!”

After their visit to Menma’s house, Jinta and Co. have gotten their hands on Menma’s diary! Jinta doesn’t want to read it right away though, so he heads back home. He tells Menma that he visited her house and she gets upset with him because she does not want her mother to remember her. Jinta goes off on her about how she cares about everybody but herself and gets a nosebleed. Wow…so angry that you induce nose bleeding? Damn yo. He leaves and heads over to Poppo’s where he finds Anaru. His nose starts bleeding again and she accuses him of being a pervert. Perfectly normal response. The episode ends as Jinta realizes that Anaru’s clearly a virgin. Duh. xD

End Thoughts: Ah man, another marvelous episode of AnoHana. This show just won’t stop being awesome! Not that I have any complaints. In fact, I have none whatsoever! I’m always fangirling every time an episode comes out, throughout the episode and afterwards. I’m fangirling right now actually. I’m usually a closet fangirl so that’s saying quite a bit. xD

First off, let’s start off with Jinta saving Anaru. That was ADORABLE. He was so nervous that he squeaked! That was really brave and super sweet of him. Even though he called her a bitch in the first episode, he can’t stand people talking shit about her. I love how much the relationship between the two of them had progressed. They’re definitely becoming friends again and hopefully…more? Please? Either way, Jinta’s gradually coming out of his shell. That’s very good and his character is developing rather well if I do say so myself.

Also, the revelation that Menma called them all out on the day that she died is pretty big. Perhaps she wanted to discuss her wish? My money would be on that. Either way, the fact that she wanted them all to meet on that day is clearly significant. I wonder what she had wanted to say…

Finally, more sides to Poppo and Tsuruko were revealed through this episode. Poppo displays a sensitive side as he doesn’t wish to go to Menma’s house while she’s there. Also, with the Yukiatsu-fan-girls, Tsuruko obviously gets annoyed. I’ve probably said this before, but she definitely seems to have some sort of feelings for him. It’s also nice how he realizes that she knows him better than anybody else. So cute. xD

Menma looks irritated. Why?! She has noodles!

This episode was quite good. Its interesting how you seem to think all the characters like each other. I’m not so sure that everyones going to get together. But then again I think it weird if they all did so maybe I’m just thinkin about what I don’t want to happen. Anyway I found it sort of surprising that Jinta went to school. Nothings really changed to make school easier for him so I guess he really had to dig deep to go. The part where Jinta protected Anaru was nice. Personally I would have probably been too embarrassed if I had stood up and shouted at the class. I think it really shows at least how much respect for her he has because he’s less likely to do anything socially embarrassing than any other character. Menma is an interesting character. The idea that you wouldn’t want to remembered because it would make other people sad is a sort of mature concept for Menma to he talking about. It almost seems out of character. Maybe she’s more intelligent than she acts like. Also the last picture and quote is soooooo funny. XD

I dunno. They’re teenagers and hormonal. It makes sense that they’d like each other or at least have some sort of feelings. xD

It is very sweet of Menma that she does not want her mom to be upset, but at the same time Jinta did have a point about her not thinking about herself enough.

This show makes me cry. T_T

you do know ep 7 is already out, right?

anyways, tsuruko’s feelings are a bit harder to identify now. does she really like yukiatsu or just at the level of best friend? she didnt blush or have much of a reaction except confusion when that girl said she had a crush on him.
if she does like him, id find her my fave girl in anohana. since she cares more of helping yukiatsu rather than try to be close to him like anaru is doing, knowing that he likes menma and just doing her duty as a friend.

I am very well aware that it’s out. This is late cuz I’ve had a super busy last week of high school. xD I already successfully fangirled over episode 7. 🙂

Yah, Tsuruko is super awesome. And her feelings are definitely more ambiguous now..

Pervert! Herbert! Without a…shirt? Didn’t entirely get the translation but hey, it was hilarious 🙂
Brilliant episode of AnoHana, starting to get into Anaru, though Tsuruko still a bit left out…oh well, proceed to watch the next episode!

Great episode! Poor Jinta walking in on Anaru hahaha and Menma’s face at the end looking so annoyed <3

Sad to see more tears but hopefully Menma's dairy gives everyone some clues to what her wish is.

That entire scene with Jinta sticking up for Anaru was so great. It takes a really brave person to do that. I’m really glad to see that he’s going through development. Tsuruko is one of my favorite characters, she’s just so interesting. This episode was very good, as the rest of this anime has been. The one complaint that I might have is I think there could stand to be more comedy to help balance things out a bit. I mean, this anime is very deppressing. I think I’ve cried every episode so far.

Oh, and was I the only one who thought it was weird that they were first years? No? Okay… They just seemed… older to me. xD Also, Menma is so freaking cute. I want to cuddle her!

I think Menma’s diary will play a very significant role. I also noticed that Jinta doesn’t want to read it, perhaps this will reveal Menma’s wish, which I think he’s not ready to know yet.

    hrmhrmhrmhrmhrm, heels.
If Tsuruko does like Yukiatsu though, I’m really willing to know why. She’s my favorite character in the series so far, such an emotional role model. hohoho.
I wonder what it’d be like if she flipped out, too.

Also, more Jinta fun and Anaru awkwardness! yay ~

Tsuroko so DOESNT, i think ano hana has a really good plotline and i cant help but feel that there’s a central focus in mind. meaning that unlike dramas that go on and on forever, there’s no need to ship every character.

I love how Jitan stuck up for Anaru XD It’s so cute. I think she’s the first tsundere in a long time that I haven’t wanted to kill. <3

    • Chemicalbonbonne says:

ohyeah, that was really cute~~~~ :))

      • Bass says:

This will possibly be the first tsundere couple ever haha since they’re both equally stubborn
