>> This OVA is going to be a manga-faithful, supernatural, action adaptation of Yozakura Quartet’s TV series. The four main characters are teenage heroes who protect the city of Sakurashin from threats. Among them is Hime who has super strength, Ao who can read minds, Kotoha who is a conjurer and Akina who is a normal, powerless boy. We have the original cast returning though the project is being created by Tatsunoko Production instead of studio Nomad who took care of the anime.

Ryuuko: Sounds cool. I’m in. I’ve had the first season sitting unwatched in my HD for ages (as you can imagine). My anime watching time gets filled up with re-watches of stuff I love instead of new stuff sometimes! But yeah action, comedy + supernatural is all cool for me.
Hoshi: I’ve always wanted to buy the manga or see the anime, and it’s been bugging me a lot. Now that this OVA is coming out, I might actually get my butt up to go check out the original series ^^
Overcooled: Not bad, not bad. This sounds so cliché I could die, but it could turn out alright.
Hato-kun: It sounds cool, but maybe I should watch the first season first. I’m like that! I can’t watch anything unless I’ve seen the first season or something. Some people jump straight into a second season and I don’t know how they do it…
Flags: I remember this; Durarara!! before Durarara!! Too bad Durarara!! is awesome and this is a pile of boredom.
Masu: I thought the first season was boring. Won’t be watching this.
Kyokai: OD’s sure going around this season. He’s cropping up everywhere… This is going to be a big maybe for me.

.: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun :.
>> Does this really need an introduction?! It’s the Railgun OVA! It’s reported to be different to the extra beach episode OVA though there is talk that it’s going to be similar sales-bait fluff. Railgun is the side story of To aru Majutsu no Index which follows the story of Mikoto Misaka, a powerful level 5 electromaster and her Kuroko a high level teleporter and member of Academy City’s Judgement. It’s listed as a sci-fi, action, supernatural series though there are times when it showcases more of a school-life, comedy aspect. The first season of the Railgun anime covered only up to the Poltergeist Arc of the manga, which like its main story counterpart, Index leaves plenty of material left to cover.

Ryuuko: Wishful thinking begins nao! I suspect the OVA is actually going to be sales-bait fluff but I’m hoping they’ll introduce Meltdowner and the rest of the ITEM girls if only so I can assume it’s in preparation for Railgun 2 ;D Let’s all watch Index and whine about extra electro-action! All I’m saying is, the L5 catfight between Meltdowner and Railgun needs to be animated for over 9k awesome.
Hoshi: I haven’t seen the anime so I don’t think I’ll be watching this one as well ^^; It does seems really interesting though, and hopefully I can get around to it~
Overcooled: Once again, no.
Hato-kun: Once again, haven’t seen the original, won’t be checking it out D:
Flags: Tch, the only thing good about Railgun is the Touma cameos.

.: Air Gear: Kuro no Hane to Nemuri no Mori – Break on the Sky :.
>> This is a shounen OVA with action, comedy and ecchi aspects, based on volume 16 of the Air Gear manga. It’s the sequel to the Air Gear series which revolves around the main character Itsuki Minami a delinquent student who is the leader of a youth gang called the “East Side Gunz” who gets drawn into the world of Air Treks where particular pairs of sneakers allow the wearer to experience flight. This OVA will feature the big fight between Ikki and Ringo but it’s been reported that the OVA’s cast and staff is different from the TV series.

Ryuuko: Though it sounds interesting I can’t quite imagine myself actually sitting down to watch it, only because I wasn’t a fan of the TV series so I don’t really have a reason, lol. Anyway, I’ll call this one a pass too.
Hoshi: First of all, I think that if they’re gonna change the cast for the OVA, that really…sucks. I love it when they keep the original cast throughout :/ Anyways, I doubt I’ll watch this because I haven’t even been able to watch the Air Gear anime at all, so it’s a pass.
Overcooled: YES AIR GEAR! I was so disappointed when the anime just ended without any closure, leaving the manga to tell the rest of the story. Honestly, Air Gear deserves a full-length anime. I shall be content with this for now. This and the manga, which I follow religiously.
Hato-kun: Haven’t seen the first! I’ve wanted to watch it, because it sounded interesting, but some people say it’s just not worth it. What do I do?!
Flags: This one shouldn’t go up on the site as the synopsis contains spoilers. Also, not interested.
Masu: I know near nothing about this, nor am I interested to learn about it. PASS.
Kyokai: Maybe, maybe not. Haven’t watched the main series so well…

>> This anime is an addition to the popular .hack franchise which showcases the adventures of mmorpg gamers in the online game ‘The World.’ .hack//Quantum will revolve around the stories of Tobias, Mary and Sakuya as they attempt to successfully turn in a difficult quest in a new version of the game ‘The World R:X.’ This ties in with the newly released .hack//Link game for the PSP. The three characters challenge a difficult boss called ‘The One Shin’ but end up trapping their guildies as they got lost within a maze in the game.

Ryuuko: I quite like the idea of this franchise but I never got drawn in by the art. I guess I’ll say that I’m 50/50 over the OVA. If the animation is super then why not, the story seems doable for me.
Hoshi: More .hack? I feel like they have so much to this already, and I’ll pass because of that.
Overcooled: Miyuki Sawashiro, once again, is in everything. Not that I’m complaining. I love the .hack series to pieces, so I will probably take a peek at this one.
Hato-kun: Yes yes yes yes oh god yes. I haven’t seen .Roots, but I own .Sign and .Legend (Yeah, that’s right. I BOUGHT them. 5 bucks each for the seasons). I’ll be watching this for sure. Hopefully I won’t be too confused though.
Flags: Hold on, why the heck isn’t Bee Train animating this? They do all the .hack// stuff. Music by Kajiura Yuki or GTFO!
Masu: I feel the same about this franchise as I do about Kingdom Hearts: It was cool the first time, but it should just die already.

Ryuuko: Nggg it’s kind of difficult to make a judgement with so little information available but I guess it could be good. Maybe if they used ‘adventure-comedy’ for the genre 😛 I don’t know yet but this one is still pretty far off so, I’ll wait for updates.
Hoshi: Even though there isn’t much info on this OVA, I might actually watch this. I love the mystery already behind this, and I love anime when you have no idea what you’re gonna get into.
Overcooled: I was convinced this show would be about a magical deer, and then I finished the sentence. I wish it were about a magical deer, in a way. I don’t even know what to think of this yet, it doesn’t sound particularly enthralling. Might give it a go if more interesting information is released.
Hato-kun: I don’t know what this is. It sounds pretty silly for my liking. We’ll wait and see.
Flags: It’s Sunrise; so no doubt this series will entertain and annoy me, bring back dead characters, and force me into arguments with a certain Quebecer.
Masu: Just to put it out there, I don’t like much Miyazaki movies…

>> Here we have a supernatural, psychological thriller based on the story of Amano Yukiteru, a second year middle school student who is introverted and spends most of his time detailing his life in a cell phone diary. Due to his loneliness, Amano begins to imagine an other-worldly friend named Deus Ex Machina who claims to be the Lord of Time and Space. Deus gifts Amano with the ability to record the happenings of the near future as if he was reading the diary of his future self on his cell phone. Amano gets caught up in a sinister game of survival where twelve contestants will compete to become the next Deux ex Machina. Each diary has special attributes depending on its owner’s personality and lifestyle which leads different strengths and weaknesses. Each diary is also directly connected to its holder and its destruction would lead to the end of the owner’s life.

Ryuuko: I’d be lying if said I didn’t find this interesting even if it’s not usually the genre I’d watch. I expect it to be quite popular for some reason so I might just keep up with it through posts 😛
Hoshi: Wow, I’m just really excited to watch this for some reason. It sounds like a mind-bender, and I sincerely live for these kinds of anime. I’ll definitely be wanting to watch this~.
Overcooled: Ooooo this could be goooood~ I am so watching this. Sounds a lot more involving than some of the shows this season.
Hato-kun: Sounds very interesting. I’ll be watching this for sure, the art looks pretty nice as well.
Flags: I’ve been reading this manga for a while now and the manga is nearing the finale. Looking forward to that, this………asread……….not so much.
Masu: Let’s hope that a deus ex machina doesn’t actually show up in the finale, cuz then we’ll be all RAAAAAAAGE. I’m sorry this show doesn’t look too interesting. It seems like one of those shows that portrays itself as a cognitive show, but in reality is very linear. Kind of like Inception.
Kyokai: Sounds interesting but seems like a trap. I have fate/stay vibe coming from this. Will see when it’s released.

>> This is an OVA based on the comedy, horror, supernatural anime series Princess Resurrection. The main character is Hiro, a young man who believes he’s sacrificing himself for the life of a young woman with a gothic dress sense. Hime is looking for powerful servants and warriors as she explains that she’s in the middle of a war between her siblings to determine who will win the throne. Ryuuko: I actually really liked the anime even though the plot was always really weak I just stuck with it for some reason. I’ll more than likely watch this one when it finally comes out! The anime was last released in 2007 so I hope they awesome-up the animation for the OVA.
Hoshi: The original anime didn’t seem interesting to me, so I pass on the OVA. Mainly I’m confused as to what they’re doing making an OVA for a 2007 anime series…o.o
Overcooled: I don’t even know, I read that description and my mind draws a blank. I don’t think that’s good. Next.
Hato-kun: Sounds interesting. I might give it a watch, depending on how much I can pick up one, story wise. I hate not knowing what’s going on DX

Ryuuko: I’ll try this one out I think. It’s been a while since I’ve come across a ‘healing’ anime I’ve really liked. I hope it has a Sketchbook full colours feel. (Since I know Hidamari (<3) would be too much to ask for lol).
Hoshi: This does sounds very heart-warming and a good realistic break from all these other animes and OVAs. I might end up watching this, but I’m afraid it might get too emotional, or end up being really boring.
Overcooled: Hmm, I wouldn’t mind a little peaceful, slice of life, healing anime in my life. However, as soon as it gets into that mushy, crybaby territory, I’m not watching it. Megumi Ogata, I’m still fangirling over you when you played Naoi from Angel Beats!
Hato-kun: Seems like something I’d watch just to escape and, well, watch something. I’ll probably watch this slowly, which isn’t exactly a bad thing, right?

Overcooled: Never really got into Occult Academy. It was only an “average” show to me, so I don’t want to watch anything extra. The main storyline is enough for me.

Ryuuko: I’m pretty sure I’m one of the few people not following this series but I don’t think I’ll end up watching the specials since I wouldn’t know who was who anyway 😛
Hoshi: As a Kuroshitusji fan to the extreme, all I can say is HECK YES. I love the Ciel in Wonderland idea; A-1 really knows how to please the fangirls for this series x’D I’ve already freaked over the interesting character designs, but I’m still a bit worried for the story. Recently I haven’t been pleased with this second season, so I’m hoping they don’t ruin the specials. As for the ‘Welcome to the Phantomhive Family’ special, I’m kinda scared for it too. It just sounds weird, so I might not end up checking out the second special :/
Overcooled: Haven’t really gotten into Kuroshitsuji yet, I’m afraid. So no specials for me.
Hato-kun: Sequel Specials. That’s even worse than watching a sequel.

I want to see pretty much everything in the moe and ecchi section. Nothing can ever compare to tits and lots of cute girls.
Sadly, I’m a bit disappointed by the outcast section. Usually I find lots I want to see, but there’s not much for me in there. Too bad.
I’m trying to decide whether or not to watch Togainu no Chi. I know the game was a pretty hot yaoi, but I hear the anime was toned down to just a few “friendship” moments here and there. Tch.
Although I hate to say this as a Marvel/DC hater(I have a friend that’s addicted and never shuts up about it), that Ironman trailer looked pretty cool. The art was good. But I might pass, just to save my pride…

Bakuman- The manga kiiind of got boring but I’ll definitely watch the anime. Is it wrong to hope for Death Note-esque EPIC DRAWING scenes?

Mirai Nikki- YES. I never got to catch up with the manga but I can’t pass down this psycho horror. It’s amazingly INSANE.
Megane na Kanojo- Just picked up the manga recently, it’s adorable ;w; I can’t wait till this comes out ♥
Kuroshitsuji Special- Okay, so season 2 hasn’t been all that…sane… but I would DEFINITELY watch Ciel in Wonderland. Oh what I wouldn’t give for more Trap!Ciel…♥ KUROSHITSUJI FOR LIFE♥
MAYBE: Goulart Knights, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Just the title (of Panty and Stocking) has me giggling.
Also Yozakura Quartet- I guess why not? Although it can hardly compare to Durarara!! I would still give it a try.

In action, Bakuman, Deadmen wonderland, Tegami bachi 2, Index 2. 16. In OVA, railgun, Air Gear, Bungaku Shoujo, Koe de Oshigoto, Megane na Kanojo, tamayura, seikimatsu. 23. Movie (If the DVD or Blueray are out actually :P) are gundam and Orgel (I hear this movie has 7 minutes more long than the original, so i want to see it). 25. That’s A LOT.
But ika musume and otoshimono : forte are my first priority. You know, they are BLUE, TSUNDERE, and MOE (I’m talking abou nymph and ika of course)

I feel the same way but J.C. Staff > Studio DEEN any day. I loved their treatment of Nodame Cantabile, Honey and Clover and even Toradora! (though I liked the latter more because of Ryuuji).

SWEEEET!!! Fall list is long and I have a long list. My watch list will probably be too long for me. Ah. Can’t wait for TWGOK, Mirai Nikki, Bakuman, Index II (WHOO HOO, been waiting for this), and Sora no Otoshimono is the epicness for the laughs. Probably be checking out Deadman’s Wonderland. Violence? Sounds like some High School of the Dead to me! sweet! IF I get really bored I’ll go marathon letter be s1 and watch s2 since I love the manga. and since I stuck with the manga to the end (only because the author recycled some characters from Black Cat!), I’ll check out the To-Love Ru. I’m so gonna fail my senior year just cuz I’m too busy watching my anime. So cannot wait! I sound like a freaking fangirl when I’m a boy, but manga and anime is one of my few passions.
