First Look for the anime adaptation of Fairy Tail.

Plot:
Well, almost a lot knows about the manga already, but I’ll still do the usual wiki-pasta for those who are new to Fairy Tail.
A young sorceress, Lucy Heartfilia, travels to the land of Fiore to join the magical Fairy Tail Guild. Along the way, she meets Natsu Dragneel, a teenage boy looking for a dragon named Igneel. Shortly after their meeting, Lucy is abducted by Bora of Prominence, who was posing as Salamander of Fairy Tail, to be sold as a slave. Natsu rescues her and reveals that he is the real Salamander and has the skills of a Dragon Slayer. He offers her membership into the guild, which she accepts, and they become a team performing various missions for the Fairy Tail guild.

No qualms about the animation yet, since it looks quite alright in the short twenty seconds there. I won’t be worrying about that though, since the Animation Production is a team-up of A-1 and Satelight.
I’m checking this one out. Not sure if I’ll blog it though since I easily get bored on mainstream shounen series, not to mention that I had already been lost in the manga, so yeah. It still depends on how it interests me as an adaptation.
Not happy about the voice acting to be frankly honest. I thought Aya Hirano will bring a sultrier vibe as Lucy, but instead we have some annoying high-pitched voice. I’m still excited to hear the ever-awesome Sayaka Ohara (Beatrice in Umineko, Yuuko in xxxholic) voice Erza Scarlet.

No opinion on Aya Hirano yet since I’m not familiar with Lucy’s character but I’m excited for the rest of the cast (so so much :kyaa: ).
As for the animation, it’s pretty decent. Even if the anime does go for the death by filler curse, hope at least the first 10 episodes will be interesting.

I’m a follower of the manga and a fairly decent fan of Mashima’s work so I’m looking forwards to this. Agree with the poor choice of high-pitchedness but maybe it’ll pan out.
I’m interested in how much the anime will elaborate on what the manga quickly overlooks (as with all anime that need to fill in 5 mins of extra stuff).

I’m with you on the voice acting. I read the manga and was really excited it was making it’s way to anime but now that I’ve seen the teaser/promo I’m a bit worried Lucy’s voice is really going to grate on my nerves. She is one of those characters that gets angry a lot so… Lets hope it’s not too bad! (fingers crossed.)
And I thought Natsu’s voice was a little generic. Am I beeing a little harsh on a 20 sec promo?
Any way best of luck to them. I’ll be watching it!

Having Namikawa Daisuke as Sieg/Gerard/Mistgun is all I care for. 8D
I actually like Lucy’s voice. (That’s the closest I’ve heard to Hirano’s actual speaking voice.) I thought Natsu’s would be different, but I like his too.

i’m definetly pumped 2 see this! Fairy Tail is one of my fav mangas. as 4 japanese voice actor i dont know any except 4 aya hirano who played haruhi, who is a really damn spunky girl. i just hope it wont suck like the rave masre anime.
