The Sighs of Suzumiya Haruhi: 01
Something that’s not “Endless” anymore.
Well we’re all over that one hell of an arc and we’re now at the next novel. At last, new content.
The animation bugged me a bit though. It’s still not as good as let’s say, the second episode of Endless Eight. But still, it’s passable since we can see KyoAni is also paying attention to the background and the details. I just don’t like their new “style”. What do you think?
But hey, this episode was not really that bad. It’s directed pretty well, the humor is still there, Kyon’s sarcasm are definitely running this show like a fuel, and seiyuu acting is nice. I would admit that I want them to animate The Disappearance more, but I guess this is better than nothing at all. And I guess it’s a recession anyway, so KyoAni definitely needs to grow cash first fom K-ON! before blowing their budget on that arc. So I’ll keep up with Sigh for the meantime, even though we already have the Episode 00 from season 1 to look back at since it’s the finished product of what they did in this arc.
