Let see now…They are now the sun…i mean the Sun itself!

I’am kinda thinking that magical girls (not just this one) can now withstand interstellar heat (ie: the sun), I’am kinda bit amazed.

    And…

    • Di Gi Kazune says:

      Stars by definition, are suns.

      • skylion says:

…that is not exactly axiomatic…and it’s simply what we call these things. As I pointed out the source of the word planet, even with all the Post-Pluto hullabaloo, is out-dated.

        • Di Gi Kazune says:

The PLANET Pluto. All the pricks that voted to demote the PLANET Pluto at the IAU can be left stranded on the Asteroid Ceres for all I care. Lifesupport not included.

          • skylion says:

At the risk of perilous asteroid death (such as it isnt’t), I am a happy supporter of the reclassification of Pluto, and will add that the IAU didn’t go far enough! It’s a trumped up Kuiper Belt Object, along with Makemake and Huanana (or something like that). A sad silly silly tale that no one would have have made a single trump about if Uranus had “suffered” such demotion….

            • skylion says:

But at least I have a reason to post some JoCo. This is the prettiest song ever written about the love of Charon for Pluto…

*reassigns moon to minor planet status*

            • Di Gi Kazune says:

              *demotes Uranus to UrAnus*

            • HannoX says:

I’m with you. Pluto does not deserve full planetary status. Outside of the U.S. there’s very little if any controversy over its demotion.

    • skylion says:

Well, as I said the podcast, they do play a bit fast and loose with science this episode. Notice my major gripe is getting comets “not quite right”, not “breathing in space/not getting zorched by the sun”. Some things you accept as artistic license, some you don’t…

Procrastinating on watching this am I…. T_T

@Fosh: Mecha News: Muv-Luv Spinoff Novel Schwarzesmarken Gets Anime (Update)

    • Foshizzel says:

I was never a fan of Muv-Luv lol I know Anaaga is thou, but I guess there are fans out there that really love it xD

      • BlackBriar says:

That’s odd. Since it was a mecha series, I was sure you’d get hooked on the first bite. A bit dumbfounding, really. Me? I don’t mind mecha now and again but it’s just not a genre I get hyped up about at all.

        • Highway says:

Muv-Luv has so many timelines and spinoffs and skips and everything that it’s super hard to keep track of. Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse was the anime that they made, and it wasn’t outright horrible, but it wasn’t very good, with its SyFy movie monsters and kind of idiotic harem.

This new one probably has nothing to do with the other one, except the name.

    • Di Gi Kazune says:

      Wasn’t Muvluv all about ‘Pai?

    • Di Gi Kazune says:

In sorta related news, how did Soukyuu no Fapner get another season. IIRC, it was part of the ‘FantaNorn’ series of 5 that did exceedingly… not well.

Sometimes, I just don’t want to understand how the system works.

      • Highway says:

No, that was Juuou Mujin no Fafnir. Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor – Exodus is about boys and mechs and really cheap animating. I watched the first two episodes of it, and they had a “sequence” that was one frame, two guys talking showing them from behind, for 30 seconds. Overall it wasn’t my cup of tea.

        • Di Gi Kazune says:

about boys and mechs and really cheap animating.

That makes it even more surprising to get another season…

          • Highway says:

Well, Dead Aggressor – Exodus is something like the 5th Soukyuu no Fafner anime that’s been made, so it’s not that surprising that it got a 6th. There’s a market that they’re happy with, apparently.

Oh, I forgot to link some neat stuff….
