One of these things is not like the other, and definitely in more ways than 1. Obviously it’s understood why anime fans wouldn’t like it, but for the fun and absurd nature of it, I had fun watching it. I’ll be back next week with a different writer to talk more shows. Cya then!

With Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, it was a standard anime set-up if a description had to made and was so-so for the most part and at least acceptable. However, things went really awry after that abominable display highlighted among the four pictures towards the end. I started into a few minutes of the second episode but remembering that, I’m reluctant to finish it.
Ninja Slayer, I went in without expectations of any kind but seeing what the series was actually like, it immediately turned me off to it. The feeling of a nonsensical presence was thick. Not to mention the eyesore cardboard cutout-like animation (If it deserves to be called “animation”) which was the lowest point of all and personally must be the most horrible choice for this day and age. With these in mind, I can firmly say Ninja Slayer is a series this season that has no place on my anime list when there are far more interesting choices about that do well in grabbing and keeping my attention. This one has been scrapped.

Yamada-kun gets better when the whole cast is together and it works well in the manga and OVA, but I totally understand why people would not like the gimmick of the MC kissing them to switch bodies; however that is not the only “power” in that series which adds another layer of interesting fun xD
I think this is just Trigger going back to their first anime they produced aka Inferno Cop which shares the same exact “animation” style that they use in Ninja slayer! I can completely agree that the “animation” is technically animation at all, but for me it feels just like an old Adult Swim series.

I’ve never seen Inferno Cop but if that series has nearly identical traits to what Ninja Slayer showed, then I don’t believe I’ll be inclined to watching it.

I seriously am miffed that 1) There is no further anime (sorta but not so) and 2) The translations got completely stalled WHEN things were getting interesting (DEFINATELY). And maybe 3) no *(*&!(*!! company is picking it up for translation.

Well, with Nisekoi, I’ve let it settle into the type of story it wants to tell. That story being a perfect setting for fans to fight over best girl. It’s a cute little treat, no more and no less. As far as the locket is concerned, the writer seems to be saying “Yeah, you think this development is silly, wait till you see what we do next…”
With Ore, it’s a matter of his arc. He needs to find the confidence first. Hiding behind his friend is just and excuse not to dig deeper into himself.
I thought Yamada-kun was quite a bit of fun. It might work out in long form manga to have to play “find the witch” but for a 12 episode anime, the giveaway is fine.
I agree that they should all work on 8man’s problem as soon as possible; as depth it greatly needed.
Ninja-Slayer looks like a show created by an anon imageboard given anime-specific mad libs.

Romcom Snafu: HAAAATE hachiman SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much wtf is wrong with this guy! I will place him on my worst characters of the season list, but I know WHY people like him because he is one of the most “realistic” characters and yeah I guess he is taking things upon himself to solve the problem and personally I just can’t connect to a character who hates the entire world and refuses to get along with people…
Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches: Awwweee yeah! I love this one because it’s so damn funny! I mean we get the best of both worlds in Yaoi and Yuri with all the random body swapping and I can’t wait to see the other witches, but I have only read like 40 chapters or something? Still fun even though I know that will be a series that gets dropped fast.
Ninja Slayer From Animation: LOLOLOLOLOL the best thing ever! I swear it feels like a Sunday night adult swim show like Aqua teen hunger force, but animation wise everybody that didn’t watch Inferno Cop will hate this one and dat OP HELL YAAAA BOOM BOOM SATELLITE!
Nisekoi: More girls! Paula McCoy and Haru Onodera! I liked them in the bath themed OVA so I can’t wait to see more, butttt I don’t expect much from that series other than SHAFT being SHAFT with their artstyle <3
This season’s RomCom Slate: There are certainly a LOT to pull from this season! Snafu works but I can't help but feel Yui is wasting her time on Hachiman...poor girl...and the same with Nisekoi! I know the manga is still on going and the MC still hasn't picked a girl yet apparently? So the BEST HAREM is High school DXD <3 <3 <3

Oh but did you watch Hachiman’s last monologue in ep 2 ? He admitted that he is lying. Lying to himself that he hate to get along with people, lying that he prefer alone. Lying to protect his own ego of a proud loner so he can’t he hurt by have his relationship shatter. It’s exactly like what Ilsa is doing,by pushing other away. But he knows it’s coming to bite him in the butt.
That’s why the show is so good.

True so I guess ultimately that is the payoff for watching to see that eventual moment with Hachiman getting everything he really wants in the end? Like friendship and who knows a girlfriend? I guess we shall see how it plays out.

Yamada: Yamada’s mangaka was an ex-assistant to Mashima Hiro, Fairy Tail’s creator. The manga art is VERY similar to Mashima’s.
Nisekoi: Good choice with LiSA. Plus, the OP animation is very smooth.
