Oh yeah, this was the one. This was the episode that got me into this show!
I think I was just waiting for the plot to solidify and the characters to become a little more substantial. I liked the theme of the story and getting to see all these strange and wonky world. And yet there’s also this mystery going on regarding the stones and why Chiaya’s mom wants to collect them.
And Chiaya’s so darn kawaii that she somehow contracted the infectious Disney princess virus! Her Disney princess heart allows her to sing inexplicably, commune with birds and animals, and to always want more! 🙂

Well, as i said, she has partial communication with the innocent forest critters, so perhaps she is just a carrier of that virus…I hope so, the show don’t need no Disney knock-offs!

I will answer my take on Thunderroad First! I think she is wrong for keeping Chiaya;s Stone when she sais she would give it back just to buy Rick ( Rick and Shaw) figure!BTW is Thunderroad a reference to to the America cult movie and Springsteens song of the same . I am saying because you have Easy Rider as in Kuniko’s Captain America H_D Chopper! All road movies! Just a thought!
Some other thoughts I think the Girls have to get to know each other better!
About Chiaya / mom! The Stones fall from the sky that’s a big mystery!If you remember Chiaya’s mom had a huge complex that used the Stones ( Core) to cause an earthquake at the amusement park!They are powerful some impending is coming!
You are right throw out anime logic for this you dont need it for this anime!
The animation is spectular as always and the music is good!
But to the Bikes. The SFX for the biles exhaust were quite good! U ride so i know!
I like the realitly of Nozomi when she stalled the bike been there done that it happens

I don’t drive a car, but I do own a bicycle I barely use… I’ve often wanted a scooter of some sort, but I live in a very hilly area and I think my state is close enough to first place in texting while driving related accidents to give me incredible pause.
I wonder if the divided states and the stones have something in common or one is related to the other?
Expectations are a two-way street. I think they cushion your viewing of a new series, but they should be abandoned sooner rather than later to allow the story to tell itself.

Thunderroad throws away all her hero credibility by stealing from Chiaya. She made a stupid mistake bidding up the statue to more than it was worth to anyone else and then compounded it with another stupid mistake. She knew Chiaya hadn’t taken her stone, yet she is going to sell the confiscated one. At least it’s giving people an example of the moral bankruptcy of civil asset forfeiture.

They’ve given us some good notes with Thunderroad. Her actions are horrible, but the are very interesting and a good part of the story. I hope they don’t bungle it…

More robots, eh? Fosh, I don’t think you ever have to worry about mecha withdrawal since the genre always squeezes in somewhere. Like skylion pointed out, you’re completely enslaved to them but obviously that doesn’t bother you a bit. 😛
ThunderRoad’s home base is one giant otaku magnet. I don’t see how any devotee can avoid such a place. If they could I bet they’d choose there as their final resting place. But I’m curious. Since she’s the Best in that district, the one stationed to keep order, you’d think she’d be allowed to have a multitude of privileges. In other words, that figure she wanted could’ve been hers at the snap of a finger.
Did she do anything wrong? That would be using other people’s possessions for personal gain. Definitely not cool.
The girls can’t get a break. Not even trying and trouble ensues. Right now, I’m laughing at

I have a sixth sense for those giant robots! I can find them ANYWHERE just like Zvezda a few seasons back and now I have Yatterman aaaand The rolling girls which I did not expect to have mechs LOL
Thunderroad is an interesting character so far! I liked her and hopefully she joins the main team or at least become an partner in the future? Anything is possible~
Ohhh selling the stolen power stone? Yeah that was messed up, but ahhh well I am sure episode 4 will have her changing her mind.
