Log Horizon – 08

Behold! The most powerful pudding ever created!

spring13-jrowIndeed, the quest for 5 million gold continues with Henrietta using her financial savvy to negotiate terms with other guilds to get 1.5 each. She certainly wouldn’t have done that Kobe contract! Sidenote, I find Henrietta incredibly hot.

    Regarding LogHo versus SAO:

I completely agree that the team effort is more compelling. The teamwork element was there in .Hack – at least in .Hack/sign, but I think it was a real weakness for SAO.

The setting aside permanent death turns out to be a rather important part of the story, because it looks like the bigger problem is people being bored – having nothing to live for. I wonder if Shiroe’s plan is really a way to get everyone in virtual Akihabara to have a new goal. He seems to be coming up for a way to engage as many people as possible in an exciting endeavor.

      Re SAO:

I’ve read the Phantom Bullet arc and there less of Kirito charging through the enemies but more of defeating the enemies with a partner. And Mother Rosario has Asuna leading a team to defeat a boss as the central plot.

@Joojoobees: Yeah the non team effort theme in SAO with Kirito technically soloing the game gets really old, I mean he is stuck in a massively multiplayer game and that screams TEAM WORK right? While I know the overall theme of SAO is far different from Log Horizon b/c of the whole death factor and how each series addresses those problems but I do love the idea how Shiroe just wants to give all the players a purpose which is something far greater than Kirito can do LOL

@D-Lan: I read roughly a handful of Phantom Bullet chapters and to be perfectly honest the new girl doesn’t really interest me at all! She is basically a carbon copy of Yuki Nagato who uses guns to me yeah I might be wrong I know.. but am I happy that Kirito is less involved? HELL YES! I really hate his “I don’t need any help” attitude even though I bet people will tell me “but fosh he does ask for help” LOL

      • d-LaN says:

…I have no idea how this Yuki Nagato character is aside frm “quiet + glasses”.

But Fosh, you are in denial state.

        Off topic:

You know, the way you “cheerfully” trash thing reminds me of the trap character in “Seitokai Tantei Kirika” series XD

Horns are being locked! A psychological battle can be just as fun to watch as a physical one when those involved are mercilessly underhanded. I wouldn’t want to mess with these people. They’re demons when it comes to business. If only we could have brought the Hiroshi Kamiya merchant character Seinen Shounin from Maoyuu Maou Yuusha to make things sweeter.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha also had some sharp characters with their master plans and how everything was going according to plan.

Poor Akatsuki suffering at Henrietta’s hands. Compared from how she was at the start of the show to now, her personality, mainly her self-esteem has been impacted yet she’s still loyal to Shiroe despite using her like a bribe. Assassins are supposed to be fearless but now she’s forced to hide behind Nyanta. I’d defend her myself if I could.

Shiroe’s title “Villain in Glasses” is appropriate. He plans everything too well to make one believe he’s a good guy. It’s frightening seeing everyone (even those who have no idea what’s going on) and everything moving to the beat of his drum.

    • Foshizzel says:

Ahahah yes! Business dealings are always fun to watch in anime even though its blaw blaw blaw blaw for the most part, but they added those ghost things to make it more fun xD

Akatsuki! Noooooooooooo! I feel for her and I wait util she becomes her badass assassin self soon.

Shiroe is now in the official metanorn year end villain award (just kidding)
