About

Is huge anime fan from Florida! who loves to watch anime and also enjoys drawing and collecting pictures, my favorite genre of anime has to be Mecha, there is just something awesome about giant robots beating the crap out of each other! Other than that type of show, I love a good comedy or action series :D

yea give this ep & one more to go wonder how handle it all?

& yea bit odd asuka found a giant robot in cave wonder if it’s like TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!

Sad but true! The end of Mondaiji is near T_____T

I know right? I was thinking more Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with Simon finding his mini drilling robot, but Iron Man works just as well xD

      • BlackBriar says:

Having it end at 10 is just not right at all. It feels like Kore wa Zombie: Of the Dead all over again. I hope there’s something that shares equal or better quality to this story wise next season.

        • Foshizzel says:

I was thinking the same thing it does feel like s2 of Kore wa zombie! I really hope there is more xD

          • Skylion says:

            “Haruna’s legs belong to us”

            • Foshizzel says:

              hahaha yessssss

            • BlackBriar says:

Haruna’s all yours. I’ve got Eucliwood, Kyouko, Seraphim, Saraswati and Yuki to keep me company. 🙂

          • BlackBriar says:

I know there’s an OVA slated for Summer 2013 alongside a Mirai Nikki, Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun specials. Here’s the link where I found the information.

          • Highway says:

It doesn’t feel like S2 of Kore wa Zombie because it’s not completely disjointed and making no sense. That whole second series was just a fanservice excuse. They barely shoehorned any sort of story in right at the end.

            I was disappointed.

            • Foshizzel says:

True as much as I adore the Kore wa zombie series I would easily hold Mondaiji higher in terms of plot and story set in a ten episode limit…I completely agree that season two of Kore wa Zombie was all over the place and they over used the fanservice when they could have spent that time expanding the STORY! That was probably the most annoying part of that.

Yep! I wasn’t very happy either.

  2. JPNIgor says:

Why? TT.TT Why should a so awesome anime have only 10 episodes e.e’

Anyways, this week the action was quite something, as it always has been. But I was really surprised with the deep representation of Hamelin’s history.

Funny thing is, the same parallel world theory that appeared in this episode is mentioned on Da Capo III…

    • Foshizzel says:

I KNOW! WHAT THE HELL! Even though it is ending I had a fun time with this unique series <3

Yeah I have seen similar talks of parallel worlds last year with Eureka Seven AO that idea was always popping up and more near the end.

  3. skylion says:

WATCH OUT FOR HOT LOLi ACTION I kinda liked how your dropped that ‘i’ out of uppercase. Really makes for an interesting eye catch.

Yeah, I knew Sandora wasn’t long for holding onto to some guns. Keep it up.

    • Foshizzel says:

Thanks! I had to squeeze in something fun for the captions xD

Sandora for the win! I wonder if she has a full blown dragon form? I would love to see that happen~

  4. Highway says:

The first instance of the “World as Myth” is generally thought to be from Robert Heinlein’s The Number of the Beast, which he used to basically allow all the characters from his somewhat different story universes to interact with each other, as well as from other universes (Oz, Barsoom, Narnia, etc.). The idea of Pan-theistic Multiple-Ego Solipsism is that a good author (or fabulist) creates these universes through their efforts. A lot of people think that Heinlein’s books kinda went off the rails there, but I enjoy them, even if it’s the kind of thing where you’re lost until you read other books (I was about completely lost the first time I read the second half of The Number of the Beast). As we can see from shows like Mondaiji, Nyarlko, etc, this idea is becoming more prevalent in fiction.

    • Foshizzel says:

I have an idea for a story that brings in all kinds of anime inspired “worlds” like supernatural, science, magical girls and lots of others in the future and that idea alone was great to see pop up in Mondaiji! Just like Kore wa zombie, horizon in the middle of nowhere and the obvious choice of the Index series that often played with the idea of science vs magic…

I think the next series that could be like Mondaiji might be Date a live? That has mecha and supernatual just based off the trailers, but yeah mixing of fables and myths is really interesting in Mondaiji.

      • skylion says:

Date a Live looks and sounds so freakin’ awesome! I hope you bring you hands to that one, Fosh. It has big robots, how could you resist!?

You cold also take a look at the Wold Newton Universe for inspiration. Or even some of the insane and fun parts of Alan Moore’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. (but not the shite film). 1984 sharing space with A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh? Jetting of into space with Tommy Tomorrow. Yes have them all!

        • Foshizzel says:

Yeah when I saw the longer trailer I was like whoa! THIS looks amazing, but I think it might ride on the whole harem thing and yeah there are mechs <3

Ooooh I remember that bad movie and oh wow that sounds crazy but fun xD

  5. Highway says:

As for Mondaiji, I think it’s been pretty interesting. I would have placed people with sledgehammers at all the stained glass before the game restarted, rather than having to run around for it. I found the negotiations to be an interesting thing, in that the no-names had to sweeten the deal to get any chance of winning: Giving the Rattenfanger a chance to win them rather than killing everyone.

    • Foshizzel says:

Hahahah yeah that would have worked! I thought the negotiation scene was going to be boring and chat filled, but it was actually entertaining and damn I want to see what Asuka can do with her new robot/golem thingy~

      • skylion says:

        DEAN SMASH!

      • BlackBriar says:

I thought the negotiation scene was going to be boring and chat filled, but it was actually entertaining.

How dare you! The negotiations are always the exciting part. You get to see who gains the upper and who loses ground by using fast thinking and underhanded facts and techniques. The fiercest at negotiations usually turn out to be those of high class status in anime.

        • Skylion says:

Indeed, it was quite tense to see the Hamelin crew mop them up. They held all the cards.

Pestilence Loli vs. Dragon Loli. Little Garden…..::happy sigh::

  6. Liza says:

Why does this need to end next episode!? T_T I love the uniqueness of this show and it’s going to be sad to see it go. I’m hoping the OVA does well enough for a S2.

Poor You is just out of it for this one. XD And Asuka acquires a GIANT robot. But of course the credit goes to all of the lolis! 😀

    • BlackBriar says:

Sadly, we won’t see the OVA until Summer. This show is too good to wait that long.

  7. BlackBriar says:

Next episode is the last. Such a sad fact. Turn about is foul play. Pest played dirty by infecting everyone so it was justice her plan partially backfired by everyone’s quick thinking.

Izayoi should be considered the Sherlock Holmes of Mondaiji. Though he looks like a wayward troublemaker, he’s very intelligent. And what an interesting development, he actually got wounded. This should be good.

Shiroyasha stripping herself of her divinity is just like Sasami-san’s Tsurugi. They must be so bored that they don’t feel alive unless they’re vulnerable. It’s also similar to Asuka abandoning her privilidged life to join Little Garden.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yep we will all cry over the loss of Kurousagi and Shiroyasha! They will be missed, but at least we get more Shiroyasha aka Kuroko in Railgun s2!

Yeah I was shocked to see how smart Izayoi has been lately? That has been quite impressive!

Truth you are onto something with that and I feel the same with Asuka’s choice in accepting the original letter to join these odd gift games.

  8. skylion says:

With all the awesome going on, I forgot to mention my one huuuuuuuge hate on for this show.

You-chan, on the injured reserve list for the second time in less than like 7 episodes. This is fail worthy.

    • BlackBriar says:

Well, she is the second physical person next to Izayoi and she’s vulnerable, he’s overpowered and Asuka uses her power from a distance. So I think her being hospitalized a second time is acceptable. She’s the most human character in the group.

      • skylion says:

This is very true, BB. And while I enjoy that about her character, I want my gryphon friend to kick ass!

        • BlackBriar says:

True. It’s a powerful creature. Time to break it out because its reappearence is overdue. Especially since the story is so close to the end.

          • Skylion says:

But wait, this might set the gryphon (a skylion) versus a loli!

That would have me on tenter hooks.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah I have noticed out of all the characters You-chan gets her ass kicked and she seems to end up sick or seriously injured EVERY TIME WTF is up with that? LOL

      • BlackBriar says:

I call that pure misfortune. Such misfortune. Ending up in the hospital more times than one? She’s just like Index’s Touma.

        • skylion says:

As has been mentioned here; she kinda has to pull the “all to human” chair all the the time to stand in contrast to Izayoi….

  9. Skylion says:

I do hope they keep the Hamelin Grim Grimoire around. Good bad guys are hard to find/create; and a coterie that has alluded to have Cinderella and Snow White (standard good maidens) as members has to be cool.

Reminds me of Bill Willingham’s graphic novel series, Fables. Which I highly recommend.

    • Foshizzel says:

You are so booksmart! Thanks for all these suggestions Skylion I should look them up sometime

      • Skylion says:

…also recommended is Warren Ellis’ Planetary (and by extension Global Frequency….plus any of his other insane cool stuff) along with Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles.
