Welp, Nurarihyon at the sixth episode already. Anime and life go on, yet my life isn’t. God knows when I’ll apply for college since there’s no plan for my departure to my home country currently *facepalm* Only anime and work can distract me from my stress of college T____T Oh well, look at the positive side: I have a lot of time to choose which major I really want to go for….I think…

So in order to cheer myself up, I decided to watch NuraNoMago episode six. I didn’t get any better though, since the episode starts with this depressing song sung by Kyokotsu’s daughter as she kills the onmyouji by taking his eyes off with her snakes. That child needs a new toy. Gitsune’s current human form can only laugh evilly after she sees the snake child kill the onmyouji. Gosh, she’s so evil. Anyway, because of that, Yura becomes the new guardian of the seal that the Keikain family has been guarding since like forever.

Meanwhile, Rikuo can’t take his weed and starts remembering about his father’s death. He becomes depressed about it to the point where he can’t make up his mind when the Youkai Patrol is planning its summer “research” in Kyoto. At the end of the day though, Rikuo made up his mind: he’s going to Kyoto, and he’s going to tell his granddaddy about it. Granddaddy disapproves and beats the shit out of him though, with his supah dupah awesome Fear. Seeing Rikuo’s determination, granddaddy Nurarihyon who’s no longer hot decides to sell- er, ship his grandson off to the isolated Tono Village so that his hot-bloodedness can be trained. Such family love <3 Ehm, ANYWAY, Rikuo gets kidnapped by walking masks, er, Namahage while sleeping, and Rikuo’s youkai friends can only stare and do nothing.

Seems like the bishie is cold. We have to strip him and warm him with my body-wait, wrong genre. #NOTyaoi

Since Rikuo needs more humor in his life, he wakes up in a huge pot with a bunch of youkai surrounding him. Yeah, they were planning to eat him if he didn’t awake in one hour. Rikuo does his SHOKKU face after Agakappa explains to him that his grandaddys sold him off to the Tono Village in order to be trained, starting as an apprentice (Well duh, how else would he be trained). And thus, Rikuo’s humiliation as a maid, er, “apprentice” begins.

“Ha ha! Your hair is sideways!”

Rikuo meets his new harem?

Doesn’t want to get calluses on his hands from washing clothes because he’s such a BAMF, Rikuo runs away from the Tono Village…And fails. The bridge suddenly disappears, and Rikuo was about to die a puny death from Mother Nature if not thanks to Itaku’s sexy, um, tentacles? Or are they vines? Whatever they are, Rikuo is saved. Mother Nature, in your face! Anyhow, Itaku then explains sexily about Fear as Itaku and Rikuo see Awashima and Amezo practicing their Fears. After short introductions to each other, The Tono Village kids start to make fun of Rikuo because of his blood, then his appearance, then his weakness, typical bullying. Proud Rikuo just has to do the whole “I can do that too!” by telling them that he can use his Fear. The episode ends with him starting his battle with Itaku by using Meikyo Shisui that was taught by Nurarihyon, making the rest of the Tono-ers unable to see his presence. Now then, what will Itaku do? Oh, my mood did get better after I finished this episode. Just telling.

SHOKKU – She saw Rikuo being raped by the masks

End Thoughts:

Well, I have a mixed feeling about this episode. It’s not that I hate it, but I’m not that much into it. Sure there are lots of information poured in here, along with Rikuo’s SHOKKU faces and FukuJun’s sexy panting, but I WANT BLOODS AND FIGHTS. I WANT FIGHTS, DAMN IT. Right there when I was about to eat my popcorn at the end of the episode, they just had to end it without fight. Why why wwwwhhhyyyy I’ve been waiting for that fight since FOREVER!! Life isn’t fair =’( Anyway, basically, this episode is so-so; though I did enjoy it. I can’t help wanting fighting scenes, I’ve been liking the season two NuraNoMago’s fights; they’ve been just so smooth and pretty so far, I can actually pat Studio DEEN on its back right now. If only they do this in every anime they make…

But oh well, at least the Oshu-Tono youkais are finally here. YYYYYYESSSSS I’VE BEEN WAITING SINCE FOREVER FOR MOVING ITAKU <3 From the residents’ appearance and attitudes, we all can see that all of them have impressive powers. Oshu-Tono youkais make Rikuo look like nothing. NOTHING. Suddenly the cool Rikuo is gone; he’s only physically cool now. It’s pretty refreshing to see him being treated like a slave (cuz I’m evil that way), but it’s also breaking my heart seeing it ;___; Rikuo deserves it though, since he has that pride thanks to the crappy first season. Anyway, although Rikuo is being treated like a slave here, I’m sure these “works” are actually useful for him ? hiking, carrying heavy loads, and running will surely give him more physical power. So stop complaining, Rikuo!

Putting Oshu-Tono and Fear aside, we learn nothing about Gitsune except that she’s been trying to break seals that the Keikain has been guarding since forever. Nothing much to say at the end thoughts here because, well, there’s nothing to say. This episode is pretty self-explanatory, except the Gitsune part. We can only wonder about this as we see Rikuo improving himself. One thing is for sure: the big battle is almost here.
