Mechanorn – 33

Things are getting crazy for these three shows!

winter15-foshWelcome back to another MechaNorn post! Yeah were a bit behind and for some odd reason the audio past Heavy Object screwed up so I had to re-record stuff for Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans and Bubuki Buranki by myself so yeah! I have no idea why it’s messed up, but ah well stuff happens!

We live, laugh, enjoy and strictly believe on "more the merrier". When together, we usually come up with very chatty, conversation-based episodics and interesting posts.

Heavy Object 18 – 20: Boy, did things go downhill for our leads now facing not one but seven Objects at the same time. Then there’s the one leading the assault: Prizewell City Slicker. Honestly, where do they come up with these names? Move over, Sladder Honeysuckle. You’ve been dethroned from having the most ridiculous name in the series so far.

    • IreneSharda says:

Mr. Slicker’s name is THE worst mecha name I’ve ever seen. Even Gundam hasn’t come up with such a horrible name.

As for the 7 Objects…well, I’m pretty sure they’re going to find some way to deus ex machina the day anyway. It’s what they do. *shrug*

Bubuki Buranki 06 – 08: Easy to see Reoko’s mind is degrading over time as she goes in and out of maturity. Wonder how bad it’ll be when she reaches her breaking point. Other than that, no doubt there are some screws loose the way she fought that headless Buranki.

Rumor is the show might be a two-cour and seeing how the story’s progressing, that assumption may be true or at least a split cour as there is no sign of a closing so far.

    • IreneSharda says:

It will be interesting to see Reoko’s background and how she got in that state in the first place. You also have to wonder how she got all these powerful guys to be so loyal to her. They would have all been young kids when she fought Azuma’s mom, so you have to wonder how she won all of their loyalty.

I think it will probably be split cour. We’re up to episode 9 and still, not even the climax is even in sight yet.

Heavy Object: Having a name like City Slicker will drive any man mad and later wreak vengeance upon the world.

Gundam: Biscuit died; it certainly can’t get crazier than that. Unless they kill off all the main characters, McGillis succeeds, and he becomes Season 2’s MC.

    • IreneSharda says:

HO: I don’t doubt it. Takes the cake for worst name ever.

Gundam: You can’t take Mika. I’d prefer both Mika and Orga at least surviving, but it’s might be interesting to have Orga die and Mika become a shell, being a weapon without a wielder. McGillis takes Mika as his own emotionless fighting machine, promising him that when he’s done he can join Orga in the “place” they both belong.

Yeah…I know I’m being grim right now. 😀

Long time no see, Irene! It’s been quite some time since we last saw your coverage of Akagami S2 and Boku Dake. How do you find them so far?

Heavy Object: Having a name like City Slicker will drive any man mad and later wreak vengeance upon the world.

Imagine how it must have felt whenever he’d introduce himself to someone new.
