Time for your weekly mini-talk on Captain Earth with me and Jrow, but Skylion is out saving the world! Soooo what is going on with this week?! For starters Zin finally got his Kiltgang which means Baku will get his soon and we won’t have to go through that process anymore which is a good thing in my book.

And then Puck was so waist deep in women, it completely forgot what its devious master plan was.(゜▽゜;)

Leaving Globe and the Gears to pick up the show’s pace.

Yep clearly he is not thinking with his brain 😛

    • BlackBriar says:

That Puck! Having rolls in the hay with numerous women at his leisure! That’s an abuse of power! Way to go!! 😉

and all the water in the pool along with their drinks! isn’t anime fun? I guess we can’t place much faith in them to be realistic hehe

I wouldn’t go into space unless there was one. Well I might be able to do without space swimming pools if I could be guaranteed the presence of space elves. Best of all: Space Elves hanging out at the Space Swimming Pool.

Puck definitely gets around, but other than him, this episode is the most boring of the series I have seen in awhile.

I knew how everything would pan out the moment the Salty Dog inspector came on the scene. And as for the Planetary Gears I don’t even care what they do anymore. This is all really just filler until Puck decides to make his next move. We’re really just seeing the pawns scuffle around while the chessmaster rolls his eyes in amusement.

Also, that was the worst 4th wall joke I’ve seen in a long time. 😛

But anyway, in terms of Akari, she does things that not even the most expert hacker should or could be able to do. The scene of her hacking the Ego blocks reminds me of he scene in Independence Day, when David could just hack into alien tech with his laptop, just “because”. Now, there I was okay with it because it wasn’t a point that was constantly emphasized, it was also a blockbuster sci-fi flick, so I can suspend my disbelief a little more. (Also, I had a large crush on Jeff Goldblum for a few years. 😉 ) With Akari, I can’t buy it anymore. Because she’s their get-out-of-jail-free card. Any problem they have is some how solvable through her hacking. And somehow that now includes the complex inner workings of alien life systems?

    Uh…no.

My greatest fear is that by the end of this she will use her miracle hacking skills to destroy Puck and everyone will live happily ever after. This show has killed only two minor characters so far (I’m not counting the yakuza group), and one was before the show even started. I think Akari needs to go. Please Puck, make it happen. 🙁

    • Foshizzel says:

I tell you! Puck just can’t keep it in his pants with all these girls running around.

I have been happy with the Planetary Gears lately because they are finally moving forward with their plan even though GLOBE will always be around the corner to stomp them…

Agreed on all things Akari! I love her as a character but come on enough is enough I want the planetary gears or even Puck to shut her down because things have gotten CRAZY with her hacking skills.

That sounds like a lame ending; however Captain Earth just might head in that direction since Akari’s hacking skills are quite overpowered!

Did you *see* Moco’s giant boobs? Maybe they don’t float, but they sure got a powerup…

  6. Highway says:

I still like Hana and Daichi’s possible relationship, and anything about that makes me happy, like Hana’s immediate response of “Captain!” when the other girls asked if she likes someone. I do hope they can do more with that before the end of the series.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah I figured there has to be at least somebody out there that likes their relationship, but as for me I don’t really like it because it comes off as super forced or is it genuine? I dunno at this point I am 50/50 on them as a OTP.

  7. BlackBriar says:

Why does Salty Dog always send these insufferable, slimeball envoys to screw up Globe’s mood? I just wanted someone to walk up to that woman and reward her with a well-deserved slap. It’s especially irritating when they haven’t fired a stroke against the Planetary Gears but want act all high and mighty over some tech they developed. I guess it never occurred to them that there is a difference between a test and actual combat.

Well, well, Hana is brutally honest and direct. Naturally, when she was asked who she liked, I expected some hesitation but obviously the girl knows what she wants. Then again, you have to remember she wasn’t raised like regular girls so society’s social habits and quirks where relationships are concerned are lost on her.

    • Foshizzel says:

Salty Dog? More like Salty Failures! They NEVER win whenever GLOBE is involved especially when they want to take Hana away with them and you would think that they would learn that Daichi will not let that happen.

Right Hana doesn’t have much experience dealing with other humans so she turned out this way being direct and all that.
