Behold the dance of the White Light leader!

Oh no! We are getting closer to the end of Zvezda, but at this point in the series I really hope to see the REAL plot revealed and the answers to our questions from last week like why did Kate transform into a giant?!

Sweet plot development

Kate and friends are in danger!

Rest in peace Pierre.

Last week I assumed that the mysterious girl in the preview was Asuta’s sister but in fact that was not the case as she was revealed to be White Falcon aka the leader of White Light!? Yeah I guess she was using something to alter her voice while giving the others orders and for good reason because apparently she is a popular voice actress named Kaorin Machimoto for an anime series called Robo Butler that Kate and Roboko love to watch; however the real core of the episode followed two different stories with the first half being more about Kate, Asuta and Roboko attending the 50th Udogawa Festival for the anime along with them participating in a contest to have the mascot character visit their house. The other story followed Gorou paying a visit to an ex-mafia friend named Pierre who is a famous pastry chef? Now we only met this guy once, but I could tell he was someone special! That said after he betrays White Light he saves Gorou before he can be killed or taken away, sadly he decides to play the hero and sacrifices himself so his friend could escape. After that scene I was like damn that was really amazing and sad at the same time.

So what about Kate and the rest? Apparently Kaorin used some hypnotic beam to brain wash the Zvezda members so she could infiltrate their main headquarters and thankfully Itsuka arrived to save her friends; however Kaorin escapes and afterwards has one of the coolest one on one fights in Zvezda so far as she fought with Gorou on top of a moving train! While the fight was cool to watch sadly we don’t a clear understand as to the identity of this mysterious woman I can only guess that she is either Itsuka’s mother or aunt or someone major from her family? Also is Kaorin going to try and recruit Yasubee to join White Light to spy on Zvezda? I could see that being a thing later on, but what was the best part of the episode for you? Personally I had fun watching Pierre, Kaorin, Gorou and Itsuka this week because the stuff with Kate provided the laughs and adorable moments.

Extra conquest

yet chef pierre we hardly knew ye still manage go blaze of cooking glory even blocking a road roller with cooking roller?!

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah, I saw that in the trailer for the new Captain America movie. Looks like there’ll be a lot of action.

White Falcon sings the OP :3 !!!
Though that makes me even sadder that Maaya Sakamoto didn’t sing any OP Character songs for Monogatari S2.

    • BlackBriar says:

If I recall correctly, she had a contract restricting her from singing any character songs.

      • Highway says:

My understanding was that the contract restriction was from her side, in that she doesn’t want to be tied to characters. If she had sung an OP for Monogatari, it would have been “Shinobu’s song”. As it is, this isn’t “White Falcon’s Song”, it’s Maaya Sakamoto’s song, which is even released on an album under her name, with a song from another anime also on it and a bunch of other songs as well.

@Fosh Itsuka mother and Goro wife is Tsubaki. Kaori/White Falcon is her younger sister. And wait, Kaori is the head of White Light ehhhhhh!? I think I need to pay more attention at things not about her fabulouussss pose.

Without doubt the best part is the monorail battle scene. Though I do wonder why Itsuka/Plamya cover her right eye with an eyepatch since it seems to be fine except for sudden light exposure blindness.

Lol @ Robin and Egret walking around in costume. And what type of taste can a mountain asparagus cake taste like? o_O

    • Foshizzel says:

Oooooh! I guess I should pay more attention lololol

      The fights were awesome <3

Maybe there’s something supernatural about it like all the Udo stuff going on. In Ikkitousen, that blue haired girl, Shimei Ryomou, always had to wear an eye patch because that eye is possessed by a dragon.

If they don’t bring Pierre back at some point, Imma gonna get mad!

  5. Highway says:

I don’t think Pierre “betrayed” White Light. More that he was being used unwittingly as the bait in their trap, and he didn’t want to be.

If Kaori knows so much about Zvezda, how does she not know where they are? Or point out the members to Robin / Egret?

    • Foshizzel says:

      True not so much betrayed~

I know right? I guess she has her reasons keeping it hidden?

  6. BlackBriar says:

While I’m bummed Zvezda is on its last stretch, the story is really kicking into high gear. The show does a nice job balancing humor and action. White Falcon was real sly. It’s mostly those who sit back and things unfold who turn out to be the elite.

The overall development was interesting. So this is basically one big family feud and the rest of the allies on both sides are getting caught up in it. And here I here I thought only Kill la Kill had a severe dysfunctional family this season.

For a temporary entry, Pierre was awesome. These old guys are just badass. Since he forgave Gorou, I’m guessing he realized him getting kicked out of the gang was an indirect way of telling him to follow his dreams. That aside, I’m wondering if Kaori/White Falcon had any back up plans in case Pierre ever got in her way.

This episode had a lot of good parts: Pierre’s reunion with Gorou, the fight between Gorou and White Falcon, Falcon’s creeper face when insinuating that Kate is naughty. But the part that had me rolling (pun intended) was while Gorou was escaping White Light, he said if they want to kill him, they’d need a bulldozer. The next thing I see, they bring in a steam roller. I guess that’s close enough.

    • Highway says:

It’s the out for the show later. To kill Pierre, they’d need a bulldozer, which they didn’t bring. So he won’t get killed.

My guess on how the family thing worked out is that somehow Tsubaki was killed in a gang fight or something where Kate showed up. Goro found his calling with Kate and joined Zvezda along with Plamya. Meanwhile, Kaori, misunderstanding what happened, vowed revenge on Kate for killing Tsubaki and formed White Light.

      • d-LaN says:

Didn’t they said White light has been around for quite a while back?
