The show did a really good job balancing out the different feelings surrounding Moritani. It was made clear that it’s not going to be just “All is forgiven and you’re our bestest buddy now!” Manabe definitely doesn’t care for her, and I kind of wonder how deep that goes, whether that’s all from the attack on him, or whether it goes farther back than that. We never knew what Manabe really thought of Moritani before, just what Moritani thought of him. We’ll see how friendly he ever gets with Moritani.
I didn’t quite get why Moritani was trying to be *that* friendly with Haruka. I mean, it even put off Moritani’s friends, and I wonder if that will continue to be a plot point. Could Moritani end up moving herself into a weird position on friends, where she’s closer to Haruka but not really in that group, but her other friends move on, leaving her kind of out in the cold?
Will Manabe and Kotoura actually confess to each other? Or will the show not go through that formality? Haruka was visibly pleased that Manabe referred to her as his girlfriend, will they both just kind of accept that they both know they like each other and start openly dating (I hope so!). Or will the lack of a confession event mean they just waffle back and forth? This is an ongoing 4-koma, so I don’t know how much hope I have for actual romance between them.

Kotoura-san was from a 4koma? oAo what the.. I wonder how it pulled of the drama in 4panels? Then again, I heard GJ-bu was a 4koma light novel, like how does that even work? 4 lines each paragraph?

^good point right there, that would be a complicated situation. Right now, the girl characters are really suspicious. Both Yuriko and Hiyori might have hidden feelings behind their friendliness to Haruka _(._.)_

I don’t know if anyone’s figured out what GJ-bu is. It’s enjoyable to watch, but you’re kind of watching it going “This is amusing, what the hell is the point?”
Although the point might be to watch Mao troll Kyoro.

GJ-bu is like my little slice of K-on in terms of cute club members doing cute things or is it more of a Nichijou? In terms of “random events every week”
I think everyone trolls Kyroro! Well maybe not the cat girl…I have to say the last episode was cracking me up when the girls asked him to speak a differently towards them aka he became the YO MAN!

I think they are trying to man him up. But, they are going about it in a stereotypical way, to suit a stereotypical view of what a “man” is. It was an interesting exchange for the past few episodes. But, at least he’s gone from sulking to giving it a shot.

Kirara definitely trolls Kyoro, but she obviously likes him being there. But it’s actually a good thing that the girls are trying to get him to be more of a man. The only signs of being a guy so far are getting Mori-san* to twirl for him, which draws the wrath of Mao.

I think there’s a bit of Nichijou, not nearly as funny though, Nichijou is like on god-terms for comedy. But it is pretty entertaining each episode, my subs just transliterated to ORE-MAN!

@Highway: I liked how Manabe and even Yuriko at the start didn’t jump at the chance to become friends with Moritani, but at the same time it was entertaining to watch how they rejected her for a bit at the start xD
IKR? Why is she suddenly so damn clingy towards Haruka? REALLY? I am starting to think she might be attracted to her…just kidding, but I still don’t 100% trust her just yet or maybe she feels so guilty she thinks it helps to be so close? LOL I have no idea really.
I have a feeling we might not see that until the very end like a few shows from last year…I mean WE all know they are perfect for each other, but sadly I think it will take two or three more episodes until we get a confession out of either of them.
@Restia Yep I remember read something about that on the original charts that Kotoura-san was adapted from a 4Koma! I tend to enjoy those a lot so I have high hopes still…
Yeah I am curious to see if Hiyori and Yuriko change their attitudes in the future with Haruka? It is clear that both of them will eventually use her ESP power in some way? I imagine Hiyori will ask Haruka to find out how Manabe really feels about her >.>

Moe blob, thy name is Kotoura! How long is it going to take her to unpack? Haruka and Hiyori were basically cuddling. We could have had a perfect yuri moment. Manabe wasn’t thinking this alone. Damn it!
If everyone weren’t hanging around, I think Haruka would have at least started to build courage and tell Manabe how she feels. She’s really self conscious and that’s what is holding her back. Not that I blame her because Yuriko would have blown things out of proportion and it would have sour things with Hiyori especially when they’re trying to be friends.
MORI! I think Hiyori has redeemed herself for being bitchy because of this little detail. When she was training with her dojo servants and sneezed, I was waiting for her to ask if someone was talking about her because it was Haruka felt better after watching that poster of her.
Muroto has poor taste in movies with psychics. If these were real in their world and if I were in his place, I’d have recommended Push or Jumper. They’re the closest to that genre as you can get.

Well, that was the opposite of Shinka, who was fine until she learned that there was something that could embarrass her.
Honestly, I don’t see any parallels between those two characters. Maybe they’re both embarrassed by their past? Late to join the club? But really, their motivations are completely different.

I agree. Hiyori was more out in the open while Shinka was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Those like Shinka, you won’t really know them until you get under their skin so you can’t really trust them while with Hiyori, you can already make your decision.

Speaking of GJ-bu, are they just trolling us with the green-haired girl in the OP? We’re what, halfway through the season, and she hasn’t shown up at all. There’s also like 3 other named characters in the OP that haven’t shown up. That’s some serious OP economy there: “We’re only making one, so get everyone in there, even if they don’t show up until the 11th episode!”
And Shion’s by far the best character in GJ-bu. Hmm. I think you guys might start to figure out one of my ‘types’ here…

Well, the 3 imoutos aren’t really main characters but supporting so it might be okay to introduce them late, but yes that girl who looks like Kisume (Touhou 12 Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism Stage 1 Mid-boss) is wayy too late if she’s part of the club. Then again, there have been animes that do introduce characters on the last/second to last episodes >_> fuuuu

It will take her until she moves again to unpack. Rule of moving: When you move, you will realize that you had full boxes of stuff that you didn’t ever unpack, so the question becomes “Do I need to move this again?” The real answer is ‘no’, but most people answer ‘yes’.

I have moved and culled and taken on so much stuff. I’m a book guy and a was a comic book guy for so long. I’m finally down to two comic boxes; after 25+ years of collecting I had built up to twenty. 15 or more boxes of hardbacks and paperbacks. I’ve trimmed down helluva lot.
But in Kotoura’s case. It still looks like she isn’t confident enough to stay….
