Just in case you were wondering we have not completely ditched Robotic;Notes and after a two week break hopefully we can return to the fun moments and this week on the notes chat we have the usual team of myself, Jrow, Lvlln and for the first time ever Kyokai who recently got caught up on everything.

I think it is safe to say that these two episodes kind of followed the same formula in terms of story, because each episode has a short flashback to their younger years before something tragic or sad happened to them. So, what caused Junna to be so scared of robots back in the day? I guess Jrow summed it up nicely that the robot that fell on her was CREEPY for someone so young! Now for the important question of that episode! Was Doc just protecting her from danger by pushing her away or do you agree with Kyokai that doc should grow up? I mean either way you go you can’t deny it was a really nice scene between Doc and Junna finally hugging it out.
While that was nice and all for Junna and Doc, I have to say Frau on the other hand is not having any fun dealing with several problems like the mystery with her mother, the fourth Kimijima report and of course the leak surrounding the final Gunvarrel episode? I was kind of shocked that no one from the robotics club has seen Frau face to face for almost three whole months?! I guess she is technically busy with real issues instead of building a giant robot right now. However, she does manage to find several hidden messages that match up with the final events of the Gunvarrel episode and the fourth Kimijima report. Afterwards her TwitPro account was hacked and rumors were spread that she was causing the robots to attack everyone? With all that near the end of her episode it looked like it was spelling the end of Frau because of her failed suicide attempt…I really hope she turns out alright next week…

Whew, two episodes in one post! So, which one did you like more? I would probably lean towards thirteen because I love watching Frau even though her episode was depressing at the start and then the end with her holding a box cutter in her bathroom, and sure she didn’t kill herself, but it shows us that she had intentions to do something bad. Junna’s episode on the other was filled with more emotional drama related to Doc and how he treated her after the accident, but in the end you could say that was her good end? I have no idea when the robotics club will actually finish their new robot! With the way things are going I think the creators are doing some last minute character themed episodes. So, who do you think they should focus on next time maybe Subaru, Aki, Kai, Nae or possibly Misa? Personally, I want Aki and Misa to TALK about the past or revisit Subaru and his father? Who knows maybe we will get all of that and more.

I liked the 13th episode more than the 12th because I watched the scene between Jun and her grandpa thinking, “everyone in that crowd was having a good time until he showed up, but now they’re silently watching an old man cry”. Whatevs. I’m glad he is out of the hospital and back to work, because I suspect he is needed for the plot to progress.

I thought I had them, but I guess not! So far each report has been hinting towards the current events with the robot attacks, solar flares and the committee of 300 wanting to wipe out humanity? Something like that? I know Frau’s mom and several other characters have connections to Kimijima Kou…I hope that helps I could have sworn I wrote them down T__T

You even hauled in the boss lady? Give yourselves a cigar, guys. Episode 12 was sweet for the grandparent – grandchild reconciliation and Junna beginning to overcome her childhood fear of robots but 13 is much better for the continually darkening storyline. And if you have three reasons to watch Robotics;Notes, the first one’s gotta be for Frau. She’s the epic pervert of the gang.
I think whoever hacked Frau’s account, framing her in the process is the same one responsible for her mother being labeled a murderer and her disappearance while at the same time is the one cheating on Kill Ballad, a gaming program she, herself, created. So those could be the reasons she isolated herself for almost three months because she was searching.
Next time, they should focus more on Kai and the Kimijima Kou Reports. If the solar flares mean the sun is dying out, that means once it’s fully put out, if people aren’t killed directly by the flares, the human race will be extinct by freezing with no source of heat. Secondly, based on what they did to the city, they’re electromagnetic pulses that knock out all forms of technology that people in this day and age are so dependent on. Once that happens, expect that civilization will start to collapse.
The coincidental thing here is that this part of the story is frighteningly similar to the Assassin’s Creed storyline because in Assassin’s Creed III, the modern day Assassins were in a race against time and the Templars to reach a temple before December 21st to stop the world from being destroyed by solar flares while the Templars try to stop them. Why wasn’t there something stopping Kai from cheating this time? And it’s a bad idea for him to tell everyone without concrete evidence. Imagine the mass chaos and panic that would ensue or just as bad, no one will believe him.

Ep 12: Not a bad episode because it finally answered all my questions about Junna’s fear of robots and why Doc always avoided her, but it was a touching moment.
Ep 13: Yeah I agree it was darker in tone and focused more on Frau’s continued investigation into her mother, but the suicide attempt was kind of shocking! Yeah like I said she didn’t do the deed; however she did intend to do SOMETHING.
Right having her account hacked as the creator of KillBALLAD and then saying you are causing the robots to attack random humans? It feels like Frau was pushed into a corner with no other option left, but thankfully Kai arrived in time! That and I think it is safe to say Frau was running on fumes at that point with the whole starving thing…
True I wouldn’t mind Kai discovering the final two reports before like Misa arrives to get him to pilot her top secret mecha!? I would love that because I always notice her looking at some type of robot blueprint? Yeah even now in my personal life I rely on tech just about everyday! So I can only imagine.
I only played the second Assassins Creed and watched my sister play the third game, but the story and plot are somewhat similar! I heard there is going to be a live action movie hahaha I wonder if that will be good…just kidding.
LOL yeah if Kai suddenly told people that the sun was going to explode especially with all the current events going on in that world EVERYONE would mark him as being totally NUTS xD

Good job on the podcast.
The thing that’s started bugging me about R;N (and it’s fairly minor) is that it’s unrealistically specific. A solar flare that hits Tokyo and not Tanegashima? Not a chance. Humans having an effect on the sun? Nuh uh.
Thank goodness there wasn’t any blood in that bathtub yet, too. I’m surprised that they went that long without actually seeing Frau. Some friends they are.

Heh. I was thinking the same thing about Tokyo. If you look at the image they showed, there is no way a solar event could specifically target Tokyo. The effect would limey be felt everywhere facing the sun at that moment.
