Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – OVA: Welcome back Kore wa Zombie. That’s another OVA checked off of my list for Fall. I hope this means there’s a definite indication of a third season. Saraswati fan service pics!! I think I’m about to die happy.

One of the highlights for me was Saraswati finding out Ayumu was in the gym even though he was invisible and then violating him to verify that it was him. I guess magic that induces invisibility doesn’t work against vampire eyes. I mean, she identified the guy just by his butt. What a stalker. I would have said she could sense body heat but that wouldn’t be the case since he’s a zombie. Meaning low body temperature.

The other was Ayumu fighting to keep his sanity while inspecting the girls for the necklace. And they’re all hot. I’ve noticed that everyone, even the vampire ninjas are bustier than Haruna. She probably thinks it’s a crime.

    • Foshizzel says:

Zombie: Yeah I did the same thing checked that series off my OVA list and hell yeah we need that third season…WHERE ARE YOU!? Your fans demand more.

Oh god yeah I died laughing when Saraswati saw Ayumu in the gym! Butt of course SHE would have no trouble finding him

Indeed the girls of Kore wa Zombie are nice…yeah being Haruna is suffering in that series! Poor magical girl…

OniiAi – 05: I know some leads are dense like lead but Akito is just plain stupid. I’m beginning to wonder if he has gynophobia or something. But he writes incest novels?! He’s feeding his sister’s taboo contaminated mind.

YES!!! More Arashi!! Her nickname “Predator” is well deserved. This time, she’s rubbing it in our faces that she’s bisexual. A hit list with people of both genders. At the intermission, there was a question: “Don’t you think it’s dangerous to be in a locked room with the student council president?” That depends on what she plans to do to you if that ever happens. And after she said she’d “devour” Akito sexually, expect kinky things to occur. If I were in that situation, I think I might bend backwards under rule. To be honest, she doesn’t seem human. Just like Eri Kitamura’s other role, Kanade Suzutsuki, they seem more like demons. They both have blood red eyes.

Akiko’s mind gets more fractured by the day with these random encounters. Eventually she’ll break down altogether. What made it funny is she’s aware of herself towards her brother but is constantly denying she’s sick. She is sick. It’s better if she just admits it.

    • Foshizzel says:

OniiAi: Akito is really dumb but so are the 90% of lead males in any harem anime! I mean come on bro there are like four chicks after you minus the incest route of course…

I know right? About damn time we got some Arashi loving and her nickname made me freaking laugh so hard because it really is PERFECT for her role, but she might be aiming to take Akito and Akiko along with the other girls for the ultimate harem ending! LOL Suzutsuki meeting Arashi what would happen? I predict a lot of blood…

Amen to Akiko…that girl…her mind is probably already broken! After all she does want her brother, but I found it funny that he writes those kinds of stories anyway? What in the world? LOLOLOL

      • BlackBriar says:

Yeah, which makes it one sided. It gets really irritating at times when he’s so dense. I mean, come on, get a clue, dude.

If Kanade Suzutsuki and Arashi ever meet, that would mean total dominance over every weak minded and influencial character. Those two are basically dominatrixes. They are however similar in personality, using certain types of methodes to screw with people’s minds and possibly in orientation. Kanade said Subaru was her first love and in Mayo Chiki, she started to express interest in Jirou. What’s more, they’re both played by Eri Kitamura.

Not just the incest. It’s just going to get worse for her mind now that the other girls have now labeled her as Arashi’s possible lover/sex toy.

  3. Highway says:

OniAi: I think that Akito’s completely out in front of the situation with all these girls, including Jinno-san. Giving in to any one of them would be the beginning of the end for him, so he has to stay strong and rebuff them.

I liked Jinno’s “self-sacrifice” although I think she’s lying to herself, and is more interested in Akito than she thinks.

    • Foshizzel says:

Jinno for the win if you are into crazy office lady characters because hey they need love just like the rest of these girls <3

  4. skylion says:

To-Love-Ru: Darkness I think we should treat the show as a Public Service Announcement.
Having trouble with a relationship? Switch genders. Even if it doesn’t help, you have some new novelties to distract you.
Want to make friends? Introduce them to your horny pets. Invite more friends, cause sharing is caring.

OniAi: I could buy all of this show cheap, but for Editor-san. She seems to realize that she is smack in the middle of an ecchi harem show, and decides to act accordingly. But then, Talk Sense to a Kid: The Anime isn’t going to push the daikimakura and optical media is it?

Ack! Zombies! It’s pretty obvious that this show is going for a miss in the Broadcasting Excellence award circles. That being said, Needs. More. Of. Haruna.

Kitty Girlfriend. I love this show, it just keeps getting better with each showing. From “Your friend has good taste” to Jin’s reaction to Plan C, to Mashiro’s casual intimacy, everything is just so well done.

    • Foshizzel says:

Darkness: Lala could open her own dating service which makes Lala seem like a pimp >.>

      OniAi: 100% on the money

Zombies: MORE HARUNA INDEED! I want that s3 or movie…

Kitty girlfriend: I love it too man everything keeps getting better and better! Plan C was hilarious even for Shiina <3

  5. skylion says:

Oh NOOOOEEEEEEESSSSS! My own creation has turned against me! Spammy, you fool, let go my comment. Bad Spammy.

  6. Highway says:

Trouble: Darkness – This show was having a nice story going along through the first part of the series. Sure, it’s a silly story, but I can totally get behind Momo’s Harem Plan. And at least it was a plan. And then for that assassin to possess Mikan and make Yami fight her, ok, that’s the kind of moral dilemma you set up when you make friends. And then Nana trying to cheer up Mea, that was ok, although the attempt *really* went off the rails. And I can even understand that, for whatever reason, Lala shows up with the Womanator, or whatever you want to call it. Cause apparently that’s what Lala does (note, I haven’t watched the other series of TLR, but that’s what I hear). Ok, wacky hijinks, yadda yadda. Sure, fine.

But Mea goes loopy for Girl Rito? Whuuuuuu? Where does this come from? In a show that’s nearly completely random and off the wall, *this* confuses me. I hope they explain it a little better, please!

And to you people who are like “It’s just boobs, why are you watching for plot?” Well, the show’s *got* a plot, it’s actually had a pretty good one, and followed it well, unlike something like Kore wa Zombie of the Dead that was just random episodes kinda strung together. That’s why this confuses me so much.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah that series is silly, random and sexual every week and for the most part the past few episodes have been about friendship and discovering things! Yeah Lala is there to push Rito into all kind of situations and almost all of them end with Rito either naked or one of the girls flashing him…

Mea is a odd case since she is an alien I suppose she doesn’t see anything wrong with touching girls or guys? And since she is dealing with Rito he is there to be her “test” subject! After all she had no issues being in a bath with him even though it was a dreamworld.

PLOT! Yes Darkness actually has a plot; however the harem thing is just one part while the rest without spoilers seems to be about Yami/Mea learning to get along as siblings and making friends…course the anime version could change things instead of following the manga all the way.

  7. Highway says:

Sakurasou: It almost feels like an insult to this show to put it in this grouping. I really think this is shaping up to be the best romance / comedy show for a long time.

With more exposure to Nanami, her weaknesses and flaws become far more apparent, and she is completely weak to Mashiro’s trolling style of conversation. I was afraid her over-the-top reactions would get old, but they haven’t yet. You can definitely see the seeds of her downfall in her pride and stubbornness.

I gotta say, tho, that the show is setting up the weakest “choose between the two girl’s events” setup ever. Nanami’s audition (that Rito wouldn’t need to be there for) and Mashiro’s manga debut that he promised to go buy with her, and that’ll take, what, half an hour? Now maybe it will be more of an aftermath thing, where Nanami’s audition goes terribly, and Mashiro’s manga gets horrible reviews online, and they’re both distraught, and Sorata has to figure out how to console both of them, but it still seems like we’re loading Chekhov’s Gun, and it’s actually one of those ones that has a *BANG!* flag that comes out of the barrel.

    • Highway says:

Oh, regarding Nanami’s desire to be a seiyuu, I can see many reasons that parents would not be supportive of such a career. Like any artistic endeavor, it’s full of far more failure stories than successes, and the culture that surrounds it is far from the most respectable, even for those that are successful. The stories of otaku disapproval of seiyuus having an actual life (instead of staying as their snow-white pure, personal wish fulfillment magical girls) are disgusting, with having to hide relationships and even children or face the possible consequence of loss of popularity and worse. Her parents likely thought that they had erected an uncrossable barrier for her, but she is (over)working to clear it.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yeah I understand Highway! I think it came down to Sakurasou first impressions and nothing more or toss it into the metafap bin because it would have just been me talking about four+ ecchi shows and I am sure some would get bored of that.

  8. BlackBriar says:

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo – 05: Sakurasou is unique among the other entries of MetaFap balancing comedy, romance and ecchi elements.

Pride is definitely Nanami’s sin and it’ll be her downfall. You can tell a person really needs help when they’re struggling in all corners and refusing assistance from everyone. The “miss perfect” act and stubbornness aren’t going to help when she faces an obstacle that’ll drive the fact into her that she can’t handle everything herself. There is even a limit to multitasking and she was lucky Sorata suggested to move to Sakurasou otherwise in a surely short amount of time, she would have gone back to her parents or ended up on the street. It was hilarious that she made her decision to move based on her misunderstanding of Mashiro’s half-conscious blathering.

Heh, I’m somewhat offended. In school, I, along with countless other students, study hard hours just to get ready to take a test but Mashiro can ace a one with ease and get high scores on all subjects with just the help of photographic memory. Why can’t I have memory like that?! *sobs*

    • Highway says:

I did like how they at least gave a plausible other reason for her to move into Sakurasou, rather than *just* keeping tabs on Mashiro and Sorata. Now we have another person that will go on a personal journey of self-discovery. 🙂

Maybe a huge part of Nanami’s problem is the same one that Sorata has been facing throughout: She is not honest with herself, trying to put on a public face that she thinks is expected (and trying to shove Mashiro into that same sort of box) while she obviously wants to do something different. Note her extensive collection of ’embarrassing’ clothes and cute stuffed animals. They’re pantsu that a person that she’s trying the ‘image’ of wouldn’t have, but it’s a guarantee that she probably enjoys having them.

  9. BlackBriar says:

To Love-Ru Darkness – 05: The more I see these manga comparisons, the more I’m inclined to believe this anime is borderline hentai with overused censors to stop it from crossing that thin gray line. The story is good, funny and progressing well nonetheless. Each individual character has something likable about them.

Momo sure isn’t leaving any room for error in her Harem Plan. If Mea has a spot, she’ll be thoroughly inspected. So far, she’s passing the test though this is only the beginning. I think she already counts Yami as an unofficial entry.

Too bad for Rito. Saying that he’s been turned to a different gender for a demonstration means that happens on a regular basis (Haven’t watched the other To LOVE-Ru series to know for sure). At this rate, he’ll be diagnosed with gender confusion. But Mea is all over his female version. This either means she’s into girls or she swings both ways because she knows Rito is really a guy.

I honestly don’t understand why some people would have a problem with animes like this. Animes follow the same concept of movies. Meaning not every one of them needs a super serious plot to enjoy it. There are some animes with simple basic stuff you can just kick back and watch for fun for the sake of it being fun.

    • Highway says:

Because “ewww, sex is ‘dirty’ and ‘filthy’ and ‘bad’.” And men who like looking at the only thing that has been (nearly) universally attractive to them for the entirety of mankind are bad and perverted. Not to rant again about society’s attitudes about sexuality, but it’s entirely rooted in that (and a good place to look as to why is looking to who wants to control people, and note that controlling people’s outlets for sexuality is one of the cornerstones of all systems of controlling people’s activities).

    • skylion says:

I’ve only watched a bit of the first and second outings of To-Rabu, but the Rito gender switch is pretty much an anticipated event at this point. Should this franchise get more cour’s in future, he will again be subjected to this treatment. It’s in the blood.

There is no other purpose for fun than to have it. Ask any child. As adults, we can still have it.

    • Foshizzel says:

Darkness is very much a borderline hentai indeed and the manga censors are very creative from water droplets all the way to soap or using Momo, Lala or Nana’s tails to “block” certain spots is hilarious! The character designer is damn impressive.

      Momo for president!

Ahahaha Rito as a girl cracks me up even though Lala uses him as her personal experiment every week! I do feel slightly bad for him but then you remember all those chicks want him and go WHATEVER BRO stop complaining…Mea might have no idea the real differences between guys and girls because of the whole being an alien thing? Also maybe she is into guys and girls? I could see that fitting this series.

Agreed the licking animal scene was there to shock us that is really all, but yeah I can see why some would see that and go WHAT THE HELL?! Beast x human play? Sure that is messed up but this is an ecchi anime so anyone watching should learn to expect sexual themes even if sunbeam-chan covers everything.
