Yuru Yuri ♪♪ – 03

Akarin-“I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CRAP!”               Alien-“Dude…I was aiming for the Rinne no Lagrange world.”

Another hilarious episode of Yuru Yuri headed your way this week! So what kind of insane adventure are we going for this time with Akarin? The preview for this episode hinted towards the various side characters getting some much needed screen time like Humawari, Ayano, Sakurako and Chitose this week.

No chocolate for Akarin!?

Akarin-“Oh my god…this is not going to end well…”

This week we follow the girls as each of them deals with Valentine’s Day! So I think you know what to expect right? There will be lots of candy exchanges and someone that gets sadly left out of the free candy *cough* poor little Akarin *cough* Thankfully she has a very creepy older sister at home that loves her a bit too much, but hey at least she got a free giant chocolate heart at the end of this episode. Even though she did not get any candy from anyone but her sister it was nice to see that Akarin really does care for her small group of friends by giving them candy; however, I just can’t help to feel sorry for Akarin. I know her role in yuru yuri has always been like this and she somehow manages to roll with all the punches and continues being her cute self.

Do not give Kyoko chocolate.

Kyoko-“I swear this is all on sale bro!”                   Yui-“Do you think I am made of money!?”

Kyoko-“Give me all your chocolate kisses.”             Ayano-“WHHHAA…right here…in front of everyone?”

Now Kyoko on the other hand loves Valentine’s Day because Yui is always there to feed her mountains of chocolate! I really started to laugh when Kyoko started asking for special requests for candy. Thankfully we can always count on Yui to keep her friend in check, but I wonder did she really end up buying all of that rum raisin ice cream for Kyoko; however at school Yui has a hard time keeping an eye on Kyoko who basically ran around bugging people for extra chocolate like Ayano?! Then again I don’t think Ayano minds giving candy to Kyoko…

Chinatsu’s special homemade creations

Chinatsu-“Shh just ignore her and she will go away.”                 Akarin-“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! HOW COULD YOU!”

With this girl and Valentine’s Day I think everyone knows who Chinatsu would give candy to right? Yui-senpai of course, but she wanted to give her something extra in the form of a handmade scarf. This special item required Chinatsu to team up with Himawari; however this side project pulled her away from Sakurako for a few days which caused lots of drama, but I will mention those two girls a bit later. Near the end of the episode Chinatsu finally gave the scarf to Yui and apparently it looked so horrible that the producers had to censor the whole thing along with the homemade chocolates! Damn I have to say Chinatsu’s love for Yui this week was extremely dangerous for her own health.

Random side character drama

Himawari-“What you mean that candy was old!”              Sakurako-“Hehehe yes it is two years old!”

Sakurako-“It’s not like I want to cry for you or anything! BAKA!!”         Himawari-“…………”

Sibling yuri for the win!?  and what was in that candy that Ayano prepared?

This episode gave us something strange in the Yuru Yuri universe in the form of character drama? What is going on here! Yes there was a bit of that floating around with the brief separation between Himawari and Sakurako. So what was it really about though? In short I could tell it was mostly jealously because Himawari wasn’t around to take care of Sakurako with homework, dinner and various other things in her life. Honestly those two characters almost share the same type of relationship between Yui and Kyoko, but at least in the end the other girls got back together for now. The only thing I did not like about this episode was how annoying Sakurako got! Jesus girl! You need to calm down, but I can understand why she got so upset. Anyway I just hope we don’t have to deal with their drama again in the future of this series.
