Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi – 09

If you go down in the woods today you can be sure of a big surprise…vaginas

Hohohoho~ I had my first day of college today. It was a mix of awkward, painful and exciting. Much like this episode,… minus the exciting.

So as you can imagine Haruka’s beach-party crashing doesn’t go down to well with Himea. She’s taking a page out of Merry’s book and spending the beach time moping, saying she hates the beach. Maybe that’s because YOU’RE A FRICKIN VAMPIRE IN THE SUNNIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD. A challenge is set over dinner to try and cheer Himea up. Izumi rigs the straw drawing contest so that Himea gets pared up with Taito and they can be alone together.

During his vacation Yuuichi likes to go Loli-Watching, it’s a popular passtime in Japan (I’m not even kidding)

Unfortunately the rigging doesn’t pan out and Yuuichi ends up with Taito, Himea with Izumi, Gekkou and Mirai of course, Haruka with that Genderbent Yukio lookalike. Hijinks insue as you can imagine. Oh, and Yuuichi does something to Taito. For someone so creepy he sure is a creeper. Taito continues having “moments” with Haruka when Himea overhears Haruka’s confession. Dang.

Ronrey…I’m so ronrey…~

END THOUGHTS

You can probably tell SO much happened this episode by my full TWO PARAGRAPH summery. Sigh. This probably was the definition of a “nothing” episode. As far as beach themed ones go though this wasn’t half bad, but it was boring. Even in the worst of the worst beach episodes that make you want to tear your hair out at least they are somewhat entertaining in how stupid they are or how mad they make you. This was just a complete snooze.

As usual Yuuichi is carrying the show, along with maybe some of Gekkou’s finer moments and Izumi’s buddy-buddying with Himea. He is the only thing that sets this show apart from drywall. Before it was tentacles and all the overt sexual innuendos, now it’s him and that damn hilarious shit-eating grin. Pulling the strings and ultimately in it for the dorama he shakes things up and gets under all the characters skins so wonderfully that you can’t help but like him.

Kind of sad no reference was made to Haruka’s split personality this time around. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to showcase that she can be yandere too, what with them being all secluded on a beach and even within walking distance of a creepy forest. C’mon, guys! This shit writes itself! Anyway, it was a completely forgettable episode of what is fast becoming a redudant, boring and just down right wretched story.

Nice hams in that feature pic.

Looks like an exciting episode with a bit of a trippy sequence in that one pic.

not to mention the “cat”. what happened to the cat monster that he made a contract with? why didnt he summon it during his training to help out or something?

    • Hime says:

You’re really asking for consistancy in Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi?

    • BlackBriar says:

Maybe he was too into the situation and didn’t think about summoning the cat.

Ahaha test of courage for the loss! And poor Himea so damn emo and depressed the whole time! That made this episode dull and boring I like the super clingy happy mode of Himea more than this one…

    • Hime says:

Yeah, her and Haruka need to have a awesometacular battle. Only good part of this episode was the brief flashes of action with Gekkou and training.

In a way, this was showing us the many faces of Himea. I want to see more of her yandere side. The childish ones always make the best yanderes. And I don’t think she can ever be as clingly on Taito as Mirai is on Gekkou. She sticks to him like glue.

Yuuichi was right. A love triangle does provide entertainment. He’s so underhanded and I’m beginning to see why they chose his VA to play Deadman’s Tamaki. They both like to take advantage of people just for the drama.

I never thought Himea would act so vulnerable just because she doesn’t have Taito around her. She’s just as mopey as Moka Akashiya when she doesn’t have her man around her. Still I think Taito and Himea would do a lot better than him with Haruka unless she surprises us with her second personality.

Mirai is unbelieveable. How can she be afraid of ghosts? She’s a demon so ghosts shouldn’t be a problem to her. She can just zap them.

And lastly, what is Nobuhiko Okamoto doing here? He’s that blonde guy at the start of the episode. A pleasant surprise. I didn’t think he’d be in this series, he’s all over the place and I thought it was good enough having Jun Fukuyama in the show. I’m sensing an Ao no Exorcist reunion here.
