Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? 11-12 [END]

A quick battle and poolside fan service as a reward?

Welcome to the final two episodes of Zombie! Episode ten did leave us at an important part with Aikawa blowing up! Other than Zombie ending, which is sad, I am working on a tutorial on how I draw. I know a few people on Twitter have asked and a few bloggers too, so hopefully I can get around to showing that off. Well, time to do my last review for this series.

Episode eleven picks up with Aikawa being reassembled by Yuki, Haruna and Sera finding his body parts strewn all over town. However, Aikawa doesn’t wake up until Haruna gives him some motivation to take Yuu back by force; with a new reason to fight Aikawa confronts King of the Night for a one on one fight.

Haruna approves of nudity.

After playing the human version of Easter, the girls help Aikawa get back to himself. After a touching scene between the two of them, Aikawa gets up and heads off to take on King of the Night. Sera’s joins the fight dressed as a maid! Why? Because she is an amazing maid! She also plays the violin to take out the massive Megelo that Yuu summons.

Haruna’s weakness, the head pat!

While Sera’s takes care of her end of the job, Haruna and Aikawa both transform into magical girls to fight the King! Once the black smoke is taken care of, Aikawa fights him one on one before Yuu stops the fighting and agrees to let King of the Night finally pass on. The episode ends with Aikawa hugging Yuu and listening to her speak! Yes, she gets to talk and it is so damn cute that you can’t imagine unless you actually hear it!

What’s better than one magical girl? TWO, OF COURSE!

I want this song! So amazing, Sera’s smile is lovely too!

King of the Night- “What the hell..it..it’s to…CUTE!!”

Damn right, you two! Kick his ass!

Aikawa being all BAMF and check out the brain pieces NICE!

This scene was quite sad, but also very happy to see Yuu smile.

Everyone gets a happy ending! YAY

Episode twelve has the usual indoor swimming pool which screams Sora no Otoshimono to me! Fans of that special episode will like this. Then things break down into a concert between Sera, Haruna and Yuu, all of them get it on the singing as well thanks to a special machine created by Dai sensei.

It’s no beach; however an indoor pool works just as well!

Volleyball done in slow motion always looks nice.

Aikawa agrees with the fans!

After meeting Yuki’s friends from school, the girls enjoy a little game of volleyball. Afterwards Aikawa walks past a huge crowd of people standing at a concert. He spots Sarawati singing to them! Guess vampire ninja need money too? Sera soon joins in shocked and jumps on stage to find out why. Only to find herself changing clothes and singing as well; I guess this is now a showdown between vampire ninjas.

Kiraaa Kiraaaaaa~                             Sera- “WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUU–”

Amazing song between vampire ninjas! And the sexy outfits, of course.

It’s to be expected that Haruna will not be too far behind. She gets on stage to perform a rock concert for the crowd, gaining lots of fans in a matter of minutes. I liked Haruna’s song a bit more than Sera and Saraswati’s songs; ROCK ON HARUNA!!

Haruna- “ARE YOU READY GUYS?!”

Haruna, you have a future in guitar smashing and screaming loudly!

Not far off, Yuu wanders up and watches the others having fun, she wants to sing as well. Lucky for her, Dai sensei offers a hand to have Aikawa act as a substitute to hold onto Yuu’s magic temporarily, while she sings a lovely calming song. Haruna jumps in soon afterwards when Dai sensei’s machine breaks down, holding hands with Yuu to help her finish the song.

Dawww power of friendship!

During Yuu and Haruna’s duet, Aikawa has a few thoughts while he watches Sera sway back and forth. He wishes all the girls could wear outfits like hers, and with Yuu’s power to grant any wish Aikawa’s dream actually comes true! After a flash of light he opens his eyes to find the girls wearing very revealing outfits. Sera, of course, didn’t want a part of this and beats Aikawa, while Yuu and Haruna didn’t seem to mind the new clothes.

Aikawa! You sir have an active imagination! *high five*

The next day, life returns to normal for Aikawa, going to school and living with Sera, Haruna and Yuu! We also get a sneak preview of a new girl with long pink hair; maybe a tie in for the specials coming out soon? Only time will tell! The episode wraps up with Aikawa joining everyone for dinner and a shot of photos on a wall of everyone having a good time.

I love those photos!

Extra Zombies!

Saraswati has some nice costumes

Dai Sensei chilling by the pool side

Haruna stole this episode from the two of you.

Yes, this is the end Haruna, see you in the future! Hopefully we get to see more of you and the others.

End Thoughts:

Episode eleven had a great mixture of dramatic moments and over the top insanity with the fighting. Although it was mostly Aikawa being thrown around like a rag doll. King of the Night as the lead villain works, even though I kind of felt bad for him near the end. After all he just wanted to move on from the real world. I did enjoy the moments with Sera playing with all the other vampire ninjas, hopefully we can get our hands on those songs. Can’t forget Yuu speaking! Wow, that whole scene was so good, gave me a few tears; yes, even something silly as a character finally speaking moves me a little.

Episode twelve! Pure fan service with the usual “beach or pool” style episode. You can expect revealing swimsuits and of course volleyball scenes. I was surprised to see all the musical numbers thrown into the last half of the episode, out of all the songs I am torn between Haruna’s crazy rock song and Yuu’s calm and sweet song. Aikawa near the end made me laugh! Go figure, give a guy super powers and wishes what will happen? Revealing outfits, of course!

They did hint near the end of a possible new character, a girl with long pink hair. I am not sure what role she will play but you do see her pop up in the opening near the end, probably a new bad guy or a friendly character? Let’s hope she is a friend, maybe she will be another supernatural themed character. I know there are a few specials coming out later on, hopefully those specials can bridge together a possible second season of Zombie!

Well, this has been such an exciting show to blog, lots of addictive characters and great comedic moments. At first I wasn’t sure on the plot to this show, but after seeing the first episode I think I was instantly hooked. Now this series doesn’t have the best story ever, however the characters and random moments make up for it in the end. I have listened to the OST over and over again! Can’t wait till they release more music, I think there was another soundtrack to be released? Anyway, thanks for joining me on this wild anime! Thanks to Overcooled for letting me take over after the first episode; also this marks my first finished show on Metanorn, WOOO. I’ll finish with a word from Dai sensei: Hooo, Hooo, Hooo.

I especially liked the way they humanized the King of Night by making him want to be a penguin.

  2. Tofu says:

OMFG Yuu spoke in episode 11 and she sang in episode 12!!! UWWAAAAHHHH~~~~~!!!! <3 <3 Can't contain my joy! xD

  3. amado says:

overall a fun watch. just dont try to mix up the comedy and drama parts again(like when ayumu had the bomb).

haruna is my fave girl, coming next is necromancer obviously.

    • Foshizzel says:

Really fun watch! Highlight of my winter would easily be Zombie. Lol yes the massive bomb xD

Indeed, she is easily my favorite next to Yuu of or Yuki? I cant choose haha

I liked how this ended. This title did not take itself seriously till the end, which is how it should be. By the end I was laughing my ass off due to the ridiculous background dance of Sera and Saraswati (which interestingly is a sanskrit word for the goddess of knowledge, music and the arts). This was a fun ride.

    • Foshizzel says:

Agreed! If anyone was expecting anything well amazing they probably are watching the wrong show. Yep! 12 had some good laughs and great music, LOL yes Sera and Saraswati swaying lmao good stuff.

      Best ride of winter 😀

Episode 11: The King of Night was a great character. It was dramatic the fight between him and Ayumu while expressing their point of view on friendship with Yuu. Yuu’s voice was so cute it made scream out asking why couldn’t she have been able to speak earlier.

400%, 500%, 600%, 700%, 800%. Heh, what was with those insane power levels? LOL. I was getting DBZ nostalgia for a moment there.

    • Foshizzel says:

Yep King of night not so bad after all! Just really depressed! Great drama in 11 it was nicely done. Yuu’s voice was very cute! Well that was her “character” being quiet but agreed she should have talked before.

Hahahah yes! I waited for a 9000! Good times.

      • BlackBriar says:

Episode 12: I guess a day at an indoor pool beats a day at the beach anytime in Ayumu’s case. This episode was fan service, rock concert induced chaos. With all of that mayhem, I think Ayumu’s friend Orito’s life was complete. He didn’t need to live another day. I loved every minute of it. Yuu’s singing was great. Heh, Ayumu should be more careful with his wishes while being under magic. Sera made sure he paid a dear price for his mistake. But still, nice swimsuits!!! Awesome fan service all around. I’m betting Tofu’s overjoyed with this one. I know I am.

        • Foshizzel says:

Lol you are right about that! Now I can see why they went with a indoor pool, Aikawa would be beef jerky if left in the sun.

But good kind of Chaos with all the songs, Hahaha yes Orito can die in peace now thanks to the fan service overdose. Yuu and Haruna had great songs, now we wait for the release of those character songs.

Hahaha well that was bound to happen sooner or later, never give magic that powerful to any lead male in a Harem anime.

Tofu, you and everyone else 😀

          • BlackBriar says:

I hope that pink haired girl means there’s a possible second season. And if it does, I wonder what kind of being she would be. They made sure to give her a close-up before ending the series. So far, this is one of the best animes of 2011.

  6. MikADo says:

Episode 11 is exactly as i thought it would be…
    very disappointing…..

Episode 12 : WHOOHOOO Service Service Service Paradise~
    YEAY YEAY YEAY

    • Foshizzel says:

Yep 11 was decent, the fight was good for me anyway xD

12 yes mostly fan service, swimsuit, OMG MUSIC TIME 😀

  7. Starry says:

Ahhh! Yuu finally spoke! I was torn between going, “Yess! She finally spoke!”or “OMG! She sounds so cute!”. But poor thing though. She only got to speak a line or two after giving nothing but grunts for 11 episodes.
    T_T

But boy, am I glad that they did not troll us by giving her a manly voice. *sweats* ^^”

    • Foshizzel says:

Yaayyy Yuu! She was really cute sounding, hey easy voice work for the english dubs, well the previous episodes during the onii-chan moments she had a different voice for each part, kind of interesting stuff.

Hahahaha that would have been so damn funny!
