Ore no Imouto ga Konnai ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai – 7 to 9

We’re quickly jumping to the future! 88 miles per hour it is!

This is such a relief to watch and review after Koe de Oshigoto. It seems so tame. Once again, I’m going to have to shove both episode 7, 8 and 9 together. I guess it work though, because they are both from the same arc, which is nice. And can you believe there are only three episodes to go? Where has our time together gone! There will also be a lot of skipping over specific details in this post, I don’t want it to be too long and boring!

Episode 7 starts up with Kyousuke arriving home to Kuroneko brooding in the dark of his living room. He craps himself and continues to ask for a reason as to why the hell she’s there. A few days earlier, Kirino got a little (very) angry with Kuroneko because she hadn’t watched very far into Meruru, despite lending her the DVD’s. Because of that, Kirino suggests that they all have a screening of Meruru at her house. Sounds alright, yeah? Wrong! Saori can’t make it to the screening and it seems that Kuroneko and Kirino have had a bit of a fight. Kuroneko is all fired up because Kirino believes she can write a novel. After explaining the situation via a really good impersonation, it seems Kirino believes she’s an awesome writer. When she’s really not. She’s apparently so bad, Kuroneko wanted to kill herself. And there was also a goth-loli character (which she assumes is modeled after her) that gets raped and dies. After hearing her side of the story, Kyousuke heads up to Kirino’s room and tries to sort things out with her.

But she’s being unreasonable as well. She doesn’t understand any of Kuroneko’s writing and is rather pissed off that a loli character modeled (clearly) after Kirino is the main characters sex slave. Once again, Kyousuke is quick to jump the gun. However, to save the situation (not the buff dude), he pressures them into actually having their Meruru screening, with Saori joining in over the phone. Once more, they get into another argument and Kyousuke just decides to sit it out. However, Kirino’s novel seems to be getting some attention. A popular publish wants to publish some of Kirino’s ‘novels’, so she begins writing a new story. However, she needs to do some research and she drags her big bro out with her. Strangely enough, it seems like a date. Kyousuke buying Kirino things, walking around, Kirino trying to throw him in front of traffic, the usual.

However, Kyousuke isn’t pleased. He eventually gets annoyed and tries to head home, until Kirino decides to pour water all over herself and say some really creepy lines about her novel and how powerful it is. In a desperate attempt to keep her from going crazy, he takes her to a hotel so she can shower and clean herself up. It’s obvious he regrets the decision. He’s jumpy and to top it all off, neighbor-girl decides to call and she’s all interested that he’s with Kirino in a hotel. He’s totally a Siscon. After they leave the hotel, Kirino and Kyousuke finally cheer up, with Kirino flashing some earrings that Kyousuke bought for her. D’awww.

Fittingly, episode 8 is a slight continuation of episode 7. It seems Kirino’s novel is selling quite well. So well, in fact, that we find out that it’s getting it’s own anime. After bragging to Kuroneko and Saori, she asks them if they would accompany her to the meeting, as they know a lot about the industry and such. And when the meeting starts, stuff gets extremely cringe-worthy. You see, Kirino has this idea in her head, that she can get anything she wants. So she starts rattling off every tiny little thing she wants out of the anime, even down to VA’s and OP’s. It’s horribly awkward to watch. Unsurprisingly they shut her down completely and turn her ideas against her, leaving Kirino rather distraught.

It seems, it’s up to good ol’ Kyousuke to save the day again. After talking with Saori and Kuroneko, it seems the Kirino’s anime is actually just being made to fill a gap where another was cancelled. With this Kyousuke decides he can’t take it anymore and decides to go and ‘eff up some anime directors and producers. Unfortunately, they ignore his ideas and preaching until Kuroneko steps in, insulting everyone she can. Why does everything revolve around Kirino? Why does everything have to be perfect for her? It was surprising to hear these lines thrown around, but somewhat refreshing. After somehow convincing them to reconsider their plans, Kyousuke heads home. Later, he discovers his work was not in vain, and her anime will go ahead. How lovely.

And finally, we come to episode 9, a new arc! Or just a filler? Who knows (It’s a filler)! The episode mainly revolves around Kirino sitting at home, waiting for, and playing a new Eroge. And that’s about it. She waits for it to install, makes some snacks and begins playing, getting annoyed at various characters and getting a little aroused at others. However, Kirino isn’t the only one we see in this episode. The next scene involves good ol’ Kuroneko, but not as we know her. We see her at home, caring for her little sister (who is adorable) and spending a day with her. After more Kirino fan-service we cut to Ayase at work, wonderin’ what Kirino is up to, thinking she’s studying. BUT SHE AIN’T. She just gettin’ off to Eroge.

Meanwhile, Kuroneko’s little sister is getting addicted to Meruru and even more frightening, we finally get a look at Saori in her natural habitat. She’s filthy rich! She acts like some high and mighty lady! She gets maid outfits made especially for her and her friends! It’s weird! Being his bored self, Kyousuke rings Kuroneko, who decides she’s making some creepy cursed item (she’s not). What’s odd, is that it seems like he was about to ask Kuroneko out on a date! Once Kirino and Kyousuke have their routine argument, we get to see Kuroneko RP’ing (which is a bit of a laugh) but not too much more on Saori’s part, which is a shame. But we end on a good ol’ shot of Kirino being a bitch. How lovely.

End Thoughts

You’re as Cold as Ice…

Kyousuke could not cope with the loss of his ring finger.

Kirino is dying with jealousy right about now.

Told you.

Whoah! That was a lot to catch up on! And that’s only one goddamn series! One thing I’m enjoying about this series is how different it feels each episode. While a lot of the arcs are so far apart in concept and story, they still fit together in a tangible anime universe. Though it’s by no means believable. She would not get her own anime after writing something as bad as that, nor would those anime dudes listen to them even if they got that far. Alas, it’s entertaining to watch. Except for that one scene where Kirino is explaining what she wants. That was cringe worthy. I’m fine with any kind of humor, but humor like that, where people make fools of themselves and it’s embarrassing, I just can’t stand it. I don’t know why.

I’m also coming to enjoy the OP animation more, just because it changes every time.  To be honest I just noticed that it does a few episodes back (I think it was 6) so I’m a little embarrassed. Then again, the 6th OP was the best I’ve seen so far, so it’s not too bad, I guess. With only three episodes left to go, I’m really not sue how they will end the series. I don’t want to ruin it by reading anything, but I’m just so curious as to what the hell will happen. They’ve held off so long with the whole incest thing, will they actually submit to the suggestions? Who will crack first? Kirino? Or Kyousuke? Or will they leave it on a cliffhanger? Someone will admit it, then we have to wait for a second season? THEY BETTER NOT.

Though, I’m not sure I would follow a second season if incest was the dominant theme. I’m not into that kinda stuff, so would I enjoy it (the show, that is)? Let’s just hope that Kyousuke doesn’t forget about Neighbor- girl. Despite all my pondering, this is still one of the top shows this season. Kirino may be unlike able at times, and at others down-right annoying, but the characters pissed off around her is what makes the show awesome and bearable. I’m hoping there is more in the future.

Now, do any of you know what the preview for episode 10 hinted at? Some sort of Cosplay theme goin’ on. Now that’s all well and good, but what about my goddamned story? Unless they manage to weave it into this, I’ll be happy. The titles have been pretty misleading so far.

Ahh~ Oh how I’ve missed you so xD Hmm.. where should I start, well first thing is I felt sorry for Kirino after her anime was basically turned around and USED just to fill up a spot, but DAYUM is Kuroneko a good debater, she shut that old man up good~ xD And I’d like to also mention that after seeing Kuroneko in NORMAL clothing, she captivated me, I can truly see why so many people like her xD Especially Dan (if I recall…)

To be honest, I’m a siscon (I actually thought it was called siscest at first) I apologize… BUT HELL NO WILL I EVER DO ANYTHING REGRETFUL IN RL!!! What happens in the fandom, stays in the fandom, agree? ^^

THERE”S ONLY 3 MORE EPISODES!?!?! NOOO~~!!! T___T (I know this isn’t part of the post but I jsut realized the snow flakes fall to the bottom on the screen and just stays there) THAT’S SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Hato-kun says:

You can’t be a Siscon only in anime, dude.

      If you’re really a siscon… 😮

      • Tofu says:

I think I worded it wrong xD I like the idea of having a sister and what a sister would do but I wouldn’t DO anything to anyone’s sister, get what I mean? And I’m sure you of all people know about my SISTER ;D

        I don’t really know man… Am I a siscon?

      • BlackLagoon187 says:

I want a sibling (preferably a sister) too but my parents said No… roflllllll

As for siscon definitions same as lolicon but around sisters instead of loli’z?

since lolicon = lolita complex so im assuming
        siscon = sister complex

    Hot Saori is hot.

  3. BlackLagoon187 says:

    Hngggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

The screen shot of Saori kinda reminds me of Ami from tora dora (the hairstyle?)

My choice of pairing so far is Kuroneko x Kyouske and Neighbour girl x Kyousuke.

If we go with the Kuroneko x Kyouske pairing Kirino will have 2 Imouto in laws and everyone is happy 😀

    • Hato-kun says:

Stop ‘Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg’-ing, I don’t understand why it has to be around me Dx

Kuroneko x Kyousuke would be cool, but I don’t see that happening. 🙁

3 for the price of one! Oh how I love a good deal.

“until Kirino decides to pour water all over herself and say some really creepy lines about her novel and how powerful it is”

WAT. I don’t even know what I’m picturing having not seen this episode…I’m so scared of this show now…XD

  5. Jubbz says:

Kirino can go die in a fire kthnx

But you got a point about all the other characters feeling the way we do about her. Well, most of’em anyway. Kyosuke shouldn’t go to such great lengths to help his sister. He’s pretty much destroying his own reputation for her. =\

What an idiot. Kirino’s just using her bro and treating him like a slave. Sometimes i wonder why i watch such a show with such a hatable protagonist like Kirino.

    • Tofu says:

I guess that’s a tsundere for ya xD It’s true Kyousuke does things that would ruin his own reputation but it’s because his like that, that a lot of people look up to him and wish for him to be there big bro (for girls, guys as well…if that’s how you think…) but for me I admire him for what he does.

    • MikADo says:

Ermm i beg you to not make to hasty decisions, like most people did. You should read the novel or wait until the story progresses, and maybe you will change your mind about Kirino, just like many others did

    • Dan-go says:

      GTFO KIRINO <3<3<3

  6. Foshizzel says:

Kuroneko has the best little sister! so damn cute 😀

Agreed with Jubbz Kirino can go die in a fire…

  7. Dan-go says:

impressive catchup effort, i’m very impressed, with all the new posters

  8. Babitto says:

Kuroneko’s imouto is soo cute! And saori looks pretty, i want to see her face 🙂

    • Hato-kun says:

Yeah, it’s quite interesting how much you don’t know about a character until you see all their features. I’m really curious as to what she looks like xD

  9. LuluChan92 says:

Gimme Saori-sama in a MAID COSTUME and NO GLASSES!!! And, yeah, hot Saori is HOT!!!

I only Kirino knew about Kuroneko’s little sister… Kuroneko would have killed her, I know it!!! =P

These 3 episodes were good (well, 7 and 8 not so much), I absolutely LOVED 9 (even as a filler, better tat the “Shugo Chara” filler bombardment, anyways)!!!

Go watch 10 ASAP!!! Even if it’s not Saori’s cosplay party!!! =D

    • Hato-kun says:

But Kirino does know about her little sister! In an earlier episode, she comes up in conversation and Kirino has a little orgasm.

And episode 11 should be the cosplay party :3 Look out for review 10 coming soon.

  10. MikADo says:

Saori is so hot 😛 but i prefer Kuroneko XD
I didn’t really care about this episode, only got all fired up when i saw the next episode preview which was COSPLAY BABY!!!

  11. Dan-go says:

WHAT IS WITH ALLL THIS KIRINO HAAAAAAAATE1!??!?!??!

  12. Joichi says:

This is evidence that Kirino is so jacking off on siscon eroge, she can’t hide that so-called ‘pure intentions’, she’s even wanting to make-out with that tsun character and fired to go! xD Kuroneko should keep her sister out of pervy Kirino’s sight.

    • Hato-kun says:

      That was very, visual…

      Very visual indeed.

She’ll eventually get her hands on Kuroneko’s sister, I swear.
